Hello. Hello. This is Diane and Randall Bro. We’re here to talk about Randall’s favorite things, which are ants and flies. Ants and flies. >> How he likes to handle them. >> That’s right. Well, two two really simple tools that I just felt like I had to share. Uh, as you may know, Prescuit is not known for its bugs. (00:25) We come from Louisiana originally where bugs will carry you out. it’ll take you up into the air and drop you. Uh don’t have too much of that here. We do have a fair number of flies. We do have ants. Uh so I wanted to share some things that we have learned on the ants. If you have any kind of ants, >> uh we use this uh on our listings all the time. Somebody has ants. (00:51) >> Uh it’s called amro. A m dr r o. I don’t know if it stands for something. It’s the weirdest name. But basically it is it is ant bait. >> Yep. >> So the ants will granules little granules like I think it’s smell like cornmeal or something. Yeah. >> So you just sprinkle them around the house. (01:09) If you have ants anywhere, they’ll find it and they will bring those succulent morsels straight back to their queen and kill her. >> Uh and then the the the the mound dies. I mean within a day or two. I’ve never seen it not work. uh very little mess, very little problems, you know, with pets or any of that. Uh so it tends to be very very safe. (01:32) Amro is uh tip number one. >> It is and it’s great. So a lot of times we have a vacant home and the clients have moved out so the ants will start building around the the outside of the house. We we hit it with a little amro and there’s no more ants in the house. So >> it’s quite effective. >> Quite effective. >> His second favorite thing, >> my fly traps. (01:53) So, um, yeah, we’ve got two big dogs. >> Oh, okay. Let’s not get it. >> So, uh, oddly enough, it attracts, for obvious reasons, we get a lot of flies. >> Correct. >> So, uh, I keep their kennel uh, very clean. You know, I clean it and rinse it out at least once a day. U,, but we still get a fair number of flies. So, I have discovered fly traps, which I get off of Amazon. They’re very cheap. (02:15) They’re disposable. >> They’re like little fly houses and not those nasty fly strips. >> Yeah. None of that. >> That’s gross. >> None of that. >> You don’t want >> This is like a little plastic container. >> It’s like a little house >> and that the flies can go in and then they can’t get out. >> They can’t get out. A little fly condo. (02:30) >> A little fly condo. And so they have this bait. Now this stuff really stinks. It really smells like something dead. So you don’t put it by your house. You put it away from your house and it attracts the flies away from the house. >> There you go. >> And then they go in and they get trapped. (02:48) Then you just, you know, you just >> throw them away. throw them away. Yeah, that’s about it. So, I during the summer I have uh the fly traps. I usually leave them out for a couple of weeks and then put a new one in. I think they’re like a few dollars each. Yep. >> So, I’ll I’ll do some links to Amro and uh their fly traps on Amaz. >> Um so, they come with my highest recommendation. (03:09) >> Yeah. I think especially for people who have horses and stuff. >> Yeah. Oh, yeah. Uh you might like this if you’re out in the barn. You can hang up some of these and and get a little protection from the crazy flies. >> Absolutely. Absolutely. >> Yeah. These are things that delight him. Every time he finds a new product, he’s like, “I have something for the flies. (03:26) ” I’m like, “Yay! >> You get it. Go get it.” >> Me, I’m not good with toilets, but I’m good with bugs. >> That’s right. >> So, there you go. That’s our tip of the day. If you like tips, go to pickle411.com.
