Prescott’s Climate
One of the biggest draws for Prescott is the weather. Here you don’t have to be miserable half the year to enjoy a low cost of living.
Quick Overview: Prescott has four true seasons (really 5 if you add the rainy season), and all of them are absolutely delightful… and none are very extreme.
Seafood Restaurants
Steak
- Murphy’s*: Prescott’s high-end steakhouse.
- Dry Gulch: Great steaks, great prices. Country feel.
- The Palace (A1)*: One of the oldest saloons in the country. Servers in costume.

- Bill’s Pizza*: Standard pizza, really good.
- Limoncello*: Authentic Italian thin crust.
- Two Mama’s*: Subs are really good too.
- Rosati’s*: Chicago style.

- Los Pinos: Best frozen margaritas.
- Casa Alvarez*: Seating and hours are limited. But great reputation. Try the chimichanga.

- Atmesfir*: Fine, fine dining in intimate venue with chef and kitchen on display. Owned and operated by caring and passionate family.
- El Gato Azul*: Tapas.
- Taj Mahal*: Great Indian fare. Lunch buffet.
- Raven Cafe*: Hipster vibe. Extensive beer, wine and coffee offerings. Upstairs area is really cool and has a great view.
- Barley Hound*: Great outdoor seating available. Get the duck tacos.
- BiGA: Modern, snug kitchen offering New American sandwiches & entrees

- Red Robin: Burgers and brews.
- Texas Roadhouse: Free peanuts in abundance. Good meat & ribs.

- In & Out: Animal style. Always.
- Chipotle*: Several locations.
- Red Lobster: New England themed seafood chain.

- Susie’s Skyway: The diner in the airport. Great fun and great burgers.
- Brown Bag: Delicious! Good shakes too.

- Granite Mountain Brewing: Brewery & taproom with indoor/outdoor seating, a light food menu & live music on the weekends.
- Barnstar Brewing: Open Saturday and Sunday. Worth the drive.

- Flying Leap Vineyards Tasting: Tasting room is convenient from downtown. Vineyard is out in Skull Valley, a 30-minute drive.

Superstition Meadery : Mead is wine made from honey. These guys make their own with all kinds of spins on the theme. Get a flight to try as many as you can. Amazing.
Thumb Butte Distillery : Fine assortment of distilled liquors made on site. Great bar and live music events inside.

- Sharlot Hall Museum: Open-air museum and heritage site dedicated to preserving the history and culture of the Central Highlands of Arizona
- Phippen Art Museum: Intimate museum exhibiting cowboy- and Native American-themed works tracing the culture of the West.
- Smoki Museum: Collections of Native American artifacts.
- Fort Whipple Museum: U.S. Army post which served as Arizona Territory’s capital prior to the founding of Prescott
