hello hello hello peeps top of the day to you top of the day to you Diana Randall bro here your friendly husband and wife realtor team here in pres Arizona she’s pickling that’s right getting ready to make some more pickles another five gallons came in but uh as I always say I’m always in production um but today we are talking about you know coming from the Deep South we’re used to tons and tons and tons of bugs yes so we moved here and for us this is basically a bug-free town yeah we tell people there are no bugs here and then they they complain yeah in point of fact there are some there are some so I have to say where we are from this is negligible but for other people they’re like well there are some bugs so Randle has hit upon something a UV bug lights UV bug lights he’s very excited this is a quick and easy tip so you have these things called UV bug lights and you plug them in and it has a UV light yep looks kind of purple bluish and uh it attracts bugs and on the on the light is a card on the side closest to the wall it’s sticky so the bugs go to get to the light like a moth to a flame like a mo there you go a mo a UV light I guess yes and then they get stuck on the other card and then every few months you pull the card you throw it away you drop in the other card you take off the adhesive and it it it it what few bugs you will have in your home in Prescot the UV light will take care of it you have even less it is L and every now and then we have certain Seasons where we have a little bit more like flies flies yeah it works like a charm it works like a charm uh also there’s a period where you get uh moths a few moths come in it attracts moths we get little gnat kind of they’re not gats but they’re something like a that little baby things that can be annoying they go right to that you it’s amazing so anyway he’s all excited let’s talk about the UV bug they’re cheap you know put one in all the big rooms Y and uh you will pretty much be bug free after that yep really really interest that’s it so especially if you’re showing your house or whatever so if you some of these like bug traps bug strips electrical things we you have these fried carcasses and stuff nothing like that the bugs adhere to The Far Side so you don’t see them at all that’s right it’s very private you’re bug catching yeah your your your your bug graveyard it’s hidden hidden hidden all right so that’s our little goofy tip of the day goofy tip of the day hope you appreciate it as much as we do in our house we love it yeah if you like tips a place to go is pickle 411.com there you’ll find our free information site whether you’re a buyer seller somewhere in between there’ll be something there waiting for you for that will Amaze astound and eliminate your bugs I’ll uh let’s do it let’s do it yeah all right nice to see you and I hope you have a great rest of your day bye bye

good afternoon oh peeps right in my ear peep get away Diana R bro she’s the preset pickle lady we’re Realtors here in preset Arizona coming at you with more stuff more stuffs more stuff some of our big questions we get from clients who come in and we help them uh find a home is they have a lot of questions about Healthcare which we address a few episodes back and also homelessness homelessness which is a very unfortunate thing especially since coid has happened I I think a lot of people who were already kind of on the poverty line lost their jobs during coid and cannot get kind of back on their feet they’ve lost their Apartments so um people are very concerned yeah a lot of areas there really is no plan no uh so so the homeless populations are growing more and more uh in some communities it’s gotten to the point where it has become uh a safety issue and a health issue and and a health issue uh so a lot of people come to preset and that’s uh depending on where they’re coming from if they come from a place where there’s a lot of homelessness and the issues that come with that that’s one of the questions they ask us and they’re very concerned um and cuz they don’t want to jump out of the frying pan and to the fire um they want to make sure that our town has that situation under control and we do we have a lot of services um we try to really help people reach out to them um get them safely off the street and into some housing um we try very very hard yes so you will not find a lot of tent cities along the streets or or in major roads or uh in Parks or anything like that uh I’m sure there are some areas but they try very hard to reach folks and get them the help that they need so if you’re thinking about coming here and you’re like am I just going to be having the same experience um where there’s so many people who need help yeah um not so much here not so much yeah we do try very hard uh there is a little bit more than uh homeless as I said because we’re kind of coming out of coid and people are trying to get their footing again yeah and so there is a lot of services here it’s very important to our town to reach those folks and try to help them so if that is a major concern for you um our town is pretty Progressive yeah um I am not going to tell you you’ll never see a homeless person or an unhoused I should say um unhoused is the proper term and and so please forgive me if I’m saying the wrong thing but um we try to really address that and and help those folks and get them into some services so the the homeless community that we have here you all communities have their own cultures and their own Norms uh in a lot of areas in a lot of communities the homeless people are very uh militant you know they are cost people uh they go out of their way to create nuisances um those of you who lived in those kinds of cities you know what I’m talking about our homeless people here are not like that maybe it’s because our community tries so hard to give them Services uh but I have not really experienced that at all no no nothing aggressive um so we uh try to show compassion and kindness and care and uh I know the town is always thinking of other options that they can do what buildings can they buy what’s something that we can do to house the unhoused and um it’s important to people here yeah so anyway we just kind of wanted to elay some of your fears about that yeah and uh let you know that Prescot is a loving town here and we have a lot of compassion especially for um some of the unhoused veterans yes um which there are quite a few and so yeah they’re over represented a lot of end up for one reason or another end up homeless that’s very important to us here to try to reach those people and and really help them and help them get uh get some get back on their on their feet yes so that is our little story today about the uh definitely a frequently Asked question so we it is so we thought it was important to talk about that and uh let you know what it’s like here in our town absolutely okay so thank you for listening and we hope this kind of answers some of your questions about that and we hope to see you soon uh the square is getting already lit up for the holidays for Christmas this is the time the weather’s beautiful come see us all right we’d love to help you when your next steps here take care bye

good morning hello peeps Jesus little energetic today that’s too much five but down I think he’s just happy Rand and Dian bro here my shoulders are bowed oh my God Rand and Dian bro here coming to you from Prescot Arizona she’s pickle lady I am the pickle lady we are the husband and wife um real estate team uh happy to help you find a new place here uh make a new start here in Prescot and one of the biggest questions we always get from people coming in from out of town is Healthcare Healthcare Healthcare yeah so we decided to report to you live from the front lines front lines the very they’re very trenches our very own experience so you’re going to follow us as we go in with Randall to have a colonoscopy yeah that’s right it’s amazing what I do for my clients yeah I I really didn’t need it I just did it so that I could tell you about it no that’s not true I have had h i I can’t tell you how many colonoscopies I’ve had yes I it started we got a little issue yeah it started when I was about 12 yeah it’s so I my family has a history of the kind of cancers that you know lead to colon cancer so by the I I was in my 30s I think and I st no not that’s it no but anyway first one so and that is a legitimate concern people coming here yeah and we just want you to know uh both of us um our own personal experiences and some of our experiences of some friends who are a little bit older um health care is evolving and growing here um uh as the town is growing so is the health care um they’re making some changes uh Dignity Health Care came in and brought over bought out I should say the yapay regional hospital yeah they are actively working on getting doctors on hand you know enticing younger doctors to come and stay um we’re working on it it’s a process and that’s true in most areas of the country most areas of the after Co you know providers it’s it’s getting harder and harder and U you know the money’s not as good as it used to be and blah blah blah it’s it’s hard and our little town is uh doing its best just like a lot of other areas uh the interesting thing about a colonoscopy is I mean from the standpoint of evaluating Health Care is that I know this procedure really well I’ve done it a lot I did it uh before dignity this is the first time I had it done after dignity yes so this allows me to kind of compare the two uh this is a procedure that you schedule so there’s no excuse you know if you in a car AC accident or you know in something unforeseen and you’re in the emergency room well you’re kind of at the you’re subject to whatever is happening at the time colonoscopy it’s routine it is scheduled so it should feel routine having done it a couple of thousand times I can tell you A lot of times it’s not routine I have found myself waiting in rooms that have millions of dollars of equipment waiting for oh we don’t have this piece we don’t have this nurse we don’t have blah blah blah blah blah if you do a routine procedure it should feel routine like they have complete Command of the situation they’ve got their system down they have their system down and let me tell you this was the best I think I’ve ever had yeah in terms of just having their act together yep it ran smooth just very smooth he literally was in and out no pun intended he no sooner was was back there then he was back out they had it very systematized we were very pleased with the service the hospital even sent him a real a little note a little note how many times you get that you have a procedure done thank you and uh everyone signed it so you had the the the welcoming nurse I don’t know what they call her but she was very nice her name’s Jenna the anesthesiologist yeah uh signed this he was very nice uh the GI the uh the PN I’m not even sure what a PN was and then the recovery nurse so yeah we were very impressed uh with the systems that they had in place in and out no problem and so we just wanted to share with you our own personal experiences I know there’s a lot of hesitation like it’s a small town are we going to be taken care of the answer is yes yes um we uh there’s also a great Breast Care Center here that a lot of people go to we get you know 3D mammograms and Cutting Edge stuff there I’ve been been very satisfied with that we’ve had several friends with heart conditions that have been happy with their cardiologists here um and the good thing about living in presc is we’re only an hour and a half away from some of the most Cutting Edge research hospitals in the United States we’ve got the Mayo Clinic the American Cancer Centers Anderson MD Anderson has now opened a branch here in Phoenix so you know if any anything God forbid major really happens you need the best of care you we’ve got it like you know an hour and a half away um so it’s all doable and we’ve had unfortunately a lot of friends who had to go down there they just plan their schedules they go down sometimes they spend the night and come right back up so it’s all doable don’t let the health care scare you away we are up and coming we’re growing um and right down at down the hill as they say is the big the big guns if you need it and we lived in we lived right outside of Houston uh for 17 years and the same was true then yeah uh you know if I had developed cancer I would have been at MD Anderson and which was about an hour and half an half drive yeah so it’s about the same you know so don’t let it scare you we just kind of wanted to share with you our own personal experiences one more getting back to the whole routine thing okay this is something I have experienced a a lot of times and I was delighted to to see that they didn’t do this so you wait for your procedure you wait you wait you wait they put you in an operating room that’s that’s uh not being used and stash you away you get the same questions asked a thousand times and then they don’t remember the answers uh none of that none of that and the thing especially that annoys me is you wait you wait you wait and then you are out cuz you know they put you under general anesthesia and then somebody is waking you up cuz they need the bed they’re trying to get rid of it they hustle you out they hustle you out roll up they did not hustle me out they waited until I just kind of came to and then the nurse in the recovery room comes over and she just says you okay how you doing you know how you feeling you want some water you know and then you know 10 15 minutes later they they uh they brought me the transport to get out and it was very the door yeah and one other thing I should mention maybe I shouldn’t mention it with my wife in a room but I have to say this oh I have to say this the nurses that work in GI are gorgeous I I thought I was being punked oh all these beautiful women are there to you know help me have a scope I’m like oh my God how embarrassing for you yeah it’s like obviously I couldn’t make a move you know what I’m saying I felt very vulnerable yeah all these young things just beautiful I don’t know why beautiful girls going to that kind of work but there you go I need to cut that yeah no that’s staying in so shout out to the beautiful nurses that do GI over at they have never recovered they’re still talking about this experience yeah they’re still talking about me I’m still talking about them I think I’ve got a note I’ve got a note know I I that’s not for real I don’t get your hopes up I don’t think they were that impress although you know the recovery nurse and her name is uh oh gosh her name’s Sarah she seemed very impressed that I had no pups you know men my age that’s a that’s a big selling point no I have no pup so this one’s pup free ladies po free po free he’s available up free P up free he’s available in little peeps hello Diane and Randall bro here coming to you from Prescott Arizona we are your local Friendly uh Realtors just loaded with knowledge expertise fun I really like to think so at least a fun day the fun bit Yeah I do bring a lot of Comedy yeah we try we try to make it fun yeah we’re here to talk about something that just happened here in Prescott Lakes where we live which is a great community a huge neighborhood we love it they had something called yappy hour and uh we they anybody who lived in Prescott Lakes could bring their dogs right uh to the greens where did we go yeah with the uh driving range driving range and so I’m like that’ll be cute and then you could make a donation to the local vendor yeah well to the animal shelters and bring donations there with bones for the dogs but what was shocking was so I’m thinking okay that’ll be cute oh oh my gosh it was like a real event [Music] a great table set up they had a uh they had a beverages alcohol they had food they had all these different vendors for dogs and cat I mean all this great stuff and you could bring your dog it was a beautiful day walk your dog on the green meet other dogs meet other people it’s a great idea first of all so much fun Prescott is a huge and you don’t necessarily meet other people with their dogs if you’re walking you see the dogs you know who owns them uh so this this was an opportunity for all the dog owners to kind of show up and it was hilarious because some of the you know people would know your dog oh I know your dogs you know what are their names and I walk by them all the time your dog said the ones that bark at it yeah you’re the dogs are the ones that Barker we got them yeah those are right not the best title we wanted to have yeah they’re puppies they’re puppies yeah we’re trying but we had the best time and so hats off to Prescott Lakes yes for having such a great event yes and there was a general manager of that cabin was his idea it was and what a great benefit great idea it was a great benefit went over huge everybody had a great time and puppies got to meet each other and everybody got to chit chat and what’s not to love and a beautiful sunny day it was a beautiful to be surrounded by lots of cute puppies and dogs and yeah I mean we just had the best time and our dogs were very well behaved yes our dogs were not the worst no they weren’t I was and I was very happy about that I was very happy about that yes so anyway we just wanted to share that that if you moved to Prescott Lakes like we live they have a lot of different events like this this was the first time they did yappy hour happy hour but uh we’re gonna do it again because they’re gonna do it again over so well it was special everyone was so happy about it so yeah that’s just one of the many events that Prescott Lakes will put on besides their music that they have and and Fun Stuff they’re always doing something cooking uh classes it goes on and on and on so this one was so unique we thought we’d mention we had to share a happy hour just something it just it was a great idea never heard of it before that’s right what a what a great event and what a great fundraiser yeah I mean it was really nice to help out the animal shelter so not a bad thing absolutely so if you move here to Prescott and you are a dog lover you might consider Prescott lake so you too can come join us at yappy hour yeah it’s not that town loves dogs here yes we had I think we had another video that talks about places you can restaurants you can go that welcome puppies yeah yeah it’s great yeah all right my friends I think that is it for today I think so anything else about yappy hours no that’s it for happy hour that’s it oh and yappy hour they also had music playing too so it was a lot of fun yeah some of the dog stands some of the dogs were dancing yeah it was great I made a couple little introductions so look like little love stories happening matchmaking yeah yeah it’s all good so yeah that’s it for yappy hour see you later and we hope to see you soon and uh give us a call if you’re coming to Prescott I’d love to help you bye

hello hello peeps and hello and hello Diane and Randall bro cheers to you well all right we will okay here in Prescott Arizona coming to you live when you see it it won’t be live that’s right but it was live when we did it at this present moment it’s live we’re not computer generated no we’re this is no AI involved here uh we are no I at all pretty much yes yeah hardly any real human flesh here we’d look a lot better yeah that’s right sure I think my AI will look better yes here to talk about newcomers newcomers so that’s one of the things that you need to know about city of Prescott so there was a indigenous population of Prescott uh probably up until you know 2008 I guess was the big financial crash and that was pretty much the town the people have kind of been here a long long time and then right about the time that we start we came here I guess which was 2016 or something like that um then nuke it became more of a retirement Town that’s right and now this town is being kind of taken over by the newcomers newcomers so if you’re not summer that’s maybe not such a great thing I you know but uh if you are a newcomer it’s a great thing it’s a great thing because honestly everybody’s in the same boat yeah um most people come here they don’t have friends they don’t have family they don’t have children here they’re just coming to enjoy their golden years and our beautiful you know tail and and so you come here and and uh we’re all in the same boat so it’s very easy and I also have found it’s a super super friendly Town yes so you could sit at a restaurant and at a table and then just chat with somebody across the way they’re all in the same boat yes so they’re like hey how are you when did you move here that’s true true the people who are native here too absolutely everybody here it’s a very welcoming friendly town and depending on what neighborhood you go into uh you know most of them have things structured for you to meet other people as well especially like Prescott Lakes yes where we live huge social amenities uh clubs within the club hiking club book club uh you know social events so if you don’t get out if you don’t join those things well you know yeah yeah that’s on you and you want to meet people you’re not meeting people it’s because you’re staying in your house that’s right and you’re spending all your time looking at your phone or something like that that’s right we have so much going on in this town you don’t even have to live in Prescott Lakes which is lovely to meet people but uh even anywhere there’s so many activities there’s music scene is big big pickleballs art galleries yeah I mean they’ve got so many things going on they always have events going that you can go and meet other people and we’ve made a lot of friends that way as well so uh you know don’t be afraid like I don’t know a soul there neither did we neither do we another thing that’s really nice about a town of newcomers too is that it’s very Cosmopolitan we have people here from all over the country with all kinds of experiences uh most of them are very accomplished you know that there were a lot and they’re look going into their golden years so that they tend to be very accomplished and educated and just interesting Folk that’s right uh with interesting hobbies and some of the best people I’ve met I’ve met here and impressed as a newcomer as a newcomer as a newcomer so please don’t be afraid to make a new start in a town where you don’t know anybody believe me you can do it well yeah it’s pretty much you know I mean you’ll make it here in Prescott yeah you will everybody’s super great super welcoming so don’t be afraid yeah that’s right get over here and meet some new people that’s right and start your new chapter if you’re shy you give me another shot to you that’s great that’s good there’s a group for that too I’m sure yeah that’s our tip for the day if you’re into tips we got plenty for you you need to go to pickle411.com that is our free information site whether you are a buyer or seller somewhere in between there’s something waiting for you that will educate uh inform and Astound you and it’ll only cost you ten dollars no that’s not true it’s absolutely free absolutely free it’s a pickle41.com lots lots there lots of things to do things to say that’s why my wife yes yes true true so get here and be new and come meet us that’s right we’d love to meet new people yes okay take care bye

hello hello hello you gotta move fast when you’re with pickle lady well listen we got a schedule we’re doing 10 of these today she is a task master we’re shooting 10 of these today so it’s like look let’s go boom boom boom that’s the magic of Television well I guess it’s not really television what is it I don’t know what this is it’s crazy today we’re talking about terrain Terrain this is something Randall does that Downshifting absolutely drops me insane it’s a new thing he does when we’re going down a hill he likes to shift and nothing I don’t know why I’m gonna be honest the crap out of it well that’s reason number one let me do it Flat Terrain Diane and I are both from New Orleans and we’ve spent a lot of our lives in Houston if you’ve ever spent any time there once you get past the heat of the humidity and the mosquitoes the next thing you notice is that everything is flat flat flat flat super flat so the Hill Skills first time we had just moved here and there’s a pretty big hill right outside our subdivision it leads down to a stoplight the first time I went down that Hill the light turned red and by the time I got to the end of the hill I could not stop I never drove anywhere where there were Hills particularly going downhill and I have none of those or at that time had none of those skills uh so I I get down to then I break and he was screeching yeah screeching through the six-way stop or whatever it is blowing screaming vocally as well and Screech yes not just the tires yeah not just the tires everybody sounded like a little girl yeah just a little bit yeah so I had to learn how to drive where Braking is Good there’s terrain and uh so the next thing I have to break going downhill and then after a year and a half and I needed to get new brake pads I learned to Downshifting is Better downshift so uh for those of you who have lived places where they’re Hills you know what I’m talking about if you’re if you drive an 18-wheel uh wheeler you know what I’m talking about you know when you’re going downhill instead of breaking the whole time you want to downshift and that keeps the car from getting too fast and it keeps you from wearing out your brakes yes it does but it’s also highly annoying yeah which is another benefit yeah oh God we need to get somewhere yeah anyway that’s another story for another day so that’s strange part part of the thing about terrain is you need to learn how to drive where there’s terrain if you’re not used to it it’s it’s a thing so you know it’s a skill that you need to pick up yeah but All-Wheel Drive another thing you should realize too uh when you move here don’t think you have to have an all-terrain vehicle it’s helpful a lot of people we have a high percentage of Subarus you’ll see them everywhere yes and they are great uh in the winter when we have a little bit of snow and a little bit of ice but even if you don’t have an all-terrain we don’t yes the snow it’s not a problem it’s not you don’t need it’s not that severe no Snow Skills snow tires no chains on your tires nothing like that nothing four-wheel drive is helpful it’s not necessary so when it first starts the snow um you know if you’re going up up a hill and you don’t have four-wheel drive you there are times you won’t make it don’t try to just go really fast and make it to the top because if you don’t make it you’re going to slide back down and hit the cars behind you which is pretty interesting yeah so if you if it begins to snow uh and we don’t get enough snow for this really to matter particularly if you’re retired uh if your car doesn’t have four-wheel drive you might want to just wait until everything’s plowed and all that stuff yeah that’s what we do yeah and I mean we are from the Deep South we have never been in Hills we have never been in any kind of winter weather we do just fine we do just fine we do yeah you do need all-terrain uh Well-Maintained Roads vehicles to drive in New Orleans and that’s just because they don’t spend any money on the roads we just did a uh a wind down on road construction yes they’re very although they just did all the road construction asphalt is wonderful uh so you really don’t need all-terrain vehicles for the roads in town if you get off the beaten Off the Beaten Path path you know if you want to go uh down some of the like Senator Highway leads down yeah some of the more remote areas yes you will yeah and that’s fine people do it people Jeep a lot yeah a lot of people yeah but you don’t need that around town just regular driving around no you might have trouble with low clearance vehicles uh and we did a a video before on driveways sometimes yeah it’s kind of hard to get up the curb or it’s not graded right uh and if you have uh like a Prius or something like that you might need a little more clearance yeah but uh but it’s all good it’s yeah it’s nothing like nothing to be scary nothing to be scared yeah Terrain Geekery I have a uh I just bought uh three 3D maps that show terrain on the map and uh he’s such a nerd yeah and I had to go have him framed yeah she did so every day he looks at all the terrains it’s a weirdo I’m in love with Torino the first time we went to uh we went to Denver we were with some friends and I made them pull over so I could throw a rock over the cliff then just watch it yeah wow that’s amazing gravity is a wonderful it’s been a long 37 years yeah you know if you know what I mean yeah [Laughter] so that’s terrible that’s our terrain lesson for you you’re coming to Prescott you should be Introduction good morning hello peeps hope everybody’s day is off to a great start ours is I think so we are here uh this is Randall and Diane bro here in Prescott Arizona coming to you this morning to talk about something a lot of people are getting concerned about called overpopulation Prescott Overpopulation? population here in Prescott now I have to say you know maybe 20 years ago Prescott might have been 30 000 people yeah who knows who knows you should know when you hear overpopulation we don’t want people to think there’s millions of people here in Prescott that is just not the case we have about 54 000 people in Prescott proper yeah and another 53 54 whereabouts in Prescott Valley so between the two towns you’re talking about 100 000. there you go for the most part I mean people in Prescott do go out to PV to shop we do that people in Prescott Valley will come in for entertainment but people don’t it’s not like you’re commuting back and forth every day you know and in the morning in the afternoon so have we been just discovered yes are people moving here yes but you should know this is a Retirement Town retirement town we don’t have I mean there are people here who work but this isn’t like a big bustling town like Chicago or L.A where people are commuting daily for their jobs yeah or Orange County yeah I think a lot of people are comparing like this is going to be the next Orange County it’s not we don’t have the industry we don’t have the room to have the industry maybe out in Prescott Valley one day but impress No Commute Headaches your proper it’s pretty much done and so you know people who retire here um they’re not on the roads they’re not on the road at 7 A.M trying to get in in line to commute to work so you know has traffic increased a little bit a little but my God it’s still nothing like the big cities no it’s not like you have an hour and a half commute to get to your grocery store or something like that it’s just it’s just not yeah I I don’t get it I mean I don’t find it that way if you’re looking for a town that has no more than thirty thousand people then you know this train has passed that’s right uh you know I’ll tell you my take on kind of what’s going on I’m the one who does most of our marketing so I have my nose in social media there is yeah more than more than particular lady does and uh yeah my hands and pickles yeah she has her hands making pickles that’s Local Sentiment right yeah they have local people here who do not want the town to change a lot of people don’t want their Hometown to change you have people here who don’t want the town to change and there are some of those that will actually go on social media and actively comment to try to discourage people from coming here and one of the things they talk about is overpopulation it’s just not so it’s just not so unfortunately when a place is attractive and you live in a free country people will go there and if you live in a place that’s not so good people will leave you can always vote with your feet that’s one of the freedoms here and uh you know if if people don’t want other people to move here they need to buy the whole town if they don’t own all the property and you know what as much as they complain they always sell to the highest bidder which is usually someone from out of town Change & Adaptation anyway and as we know when you’re married a long time as we have been yes uh things change yes and you have to adapt to stay married yeah God knows I’ve learned that that’s right yeah that’s that’s right you have to add that so it’s the same thing when you live in a town that has been discovered and things that people are moving in you just kind of have to adapt it’s changing and sometimes it changes for the better um it has changed for the better since we have been here we have been here at this point about seven years and when we first got here it was a little there wasn’t a lot going on now there are more good restaurants more things to do it’s more lively um I like it better and I like it more Amenities & Options every day yes um you know I honestly wouldn’t be interested in moving to a town particularly for retirement with a population of less than 50 40 000 I mean you know you’re going to have one Diner where you’re gonna have to eat all the time that you go to a place that’s that small we’re kind of becoming hip and happiness we’ve got some great art galleries more and more people are coming with you know with their own music more music it’s lovely it’s lovely so you know we just don’t want you to think oh my gosh if I move there is it going to be like I’m in Orange County it really isn’t it you know uh it might take you 15 minutes to get down the road but it’s still better than an hour and a Social Media vs. Reality half yeah so uh anyway so how about that throw you yeah if you haven’t figured it out yet you can’t trust everything you see on social media that’s right you just can’t you just can’t these are opinions we’re chill people some people aren’t quite as chill some are very chill everyone has an opinion A lot of them stink uh you know um it’s it’s just it’s just the way of life some people honestly have opinions that others might think are erroneous a lot of people you know they have opinions with a 10 intent they’re trying to make you they’re trying to uh just wait it’s a switch for their own purposes that’s right so you should be aware keep in mind this is not like um high-tech industry here or research hospitals here or anything this is kind of just like a really nice little retirement town so if you’re worried about commuting and traveling and this that and the other hmm nobody’s getting up here you know unless it’s to go to the golf course at seven a.m but yeah they’re not going they’re not driving to work that’s right the the city of Self-Limiting Population Prescott regularly gets ranked as one of the best places to retire it is never ranked as one of the best places to look for a job yes it’s a retirement town and you can only drive so much population into a town that doesn’t have a lot of jobs to offer that’s awesome so anyway that is our thing we don’t want you to be wow now the town’s just getting too big I don’t even want to look at it that’s not so don’t let that scare you that’s just crazy it’s great here we love life here it’s all good in the hood as I like to say good in the hood okay so that is our little Spiel today on talking about overpopulation um just not a problem yeah so in in our opinion oh and by the way the people who live here they’re not having a lot of children there kind of past that age unless they would be like Saint Elizabeth and something miraculous yeah it would be a miracle yeah so for my Catholics out there you know who’s saying yeah that’s right that’s exactly right you’ll be okay all right my friends so that is it for today we just wanted to kind of talk about that a little bit Introduction hello hello hello hello peeps this is Diana Randall bro your friendly local Prescott area Realtors and she’s pickle Eddie I am the pickle lady she’s full of pickles sometimes sometimes all right so Sad Story this episode we have something sad to talk about it is it was a very sad story you might have heard it it made national news a very fine gentleman of one of our local prescottiians was building a beautiful cabin up in the remote section of the mountains and unfortunately a bear came and got it it’s acting Joe by bear yeah totally unprovoked it’s a very unusual thing to happen especially with a male bear not quite sure what uh set him off um but we just wanted to put the word out there that when you hear Prescott don’t think we’re you know uh up and up in the mountains we’re not full of bears we’re not full of bears our thoughts and prayers go out to him our condolences got him and his family obviously this is a tragic event and we certainly don’t want to make little of this no and uh I mean there was a bear attack in Prescott Prescott Size let me explain what in price kit means so in Prescott in this case means the within the Incorporated area of Prescott now just so you’ll know if you go to the extreme north of the Incorporated area of Prescott and you drive without traffic so you know my Californians this isn’t about traffic you know you just there’s no traffic you drive to town it will take you the like 30 minutes to get to town and then if you proceed South uh you can drive another 40 minutes or so until you hit the South Boundary so this occurred on the South Boundary the South Boundary eventually get you get to the Bradshaw Mountains this was on the other side of the Bradshaw Mountains Not in Town essentially so a very remote area it is more remote so we didn’t want you to feel like oh my gosh if I’m around the town square or there’s going to be coming out yeah um I will never say never yeah but odds are no that will never happen unless you’re way up you know if the head bears in town they’d all be at Costco I think picking up the salmon there or something that’s right absolutely making it easier we really don’t have Bears or things like that yeah in the town this is a Remote Areas very remote area uh we rarely go up there from time to time we have somebody who wants us to go look at something I’ve broken an axle you should be aware a lot of folks think I really want something remote where I can enjoy peace and nature and I don’t want to be around a lot which can be absolutely delightful and beautiful beautiful area it’s stunning but you should be aware that a lot of those roads are not paved it’s dirt roads you could get snowed in you could get the roads could get washed out because monsoons and rutted it’s very difficult to Traverse unless you’ve got it yeah your car can fall off the path like we did this is very remote people come they think I want something kind of that’s exactly what I want usually the Too Remote for Most everyone we brought up there that well this is tumorable this is way too remember so although it’s stunningly beautiful it’s kind of for uh special kind of people that that enjoy that and and can handle those kind of roads without any issues and most of those places are not winterized no so the people who are staying there for the most part are only there during the summer so these are more like camps these are yeah I mean if you get snowed in up Snowed In there it could be kind of like the shiny oh yeah yeah it’s good I mean you’re gonna be because you’re way more at the top of the mountain and that snow stays a long time I got stuck up there one time and I was told you know we’ll be there in six hours luckily after about an hour someone drove by who had a chain and pulled me back from somebody who lived up there and they’re like we got you we have all the equipment we’re used to this we’ll pull you out people are very friendly so you should keep that in mind uh Other Animals remote can be uh have some animals out there we do have mountain lions we do have Bobcats we have javelina we have Bears we have coyotes and in these remote areas these animals not the ones in town but the ones in the remote areas these are wild animals these are not they’re not being fed you know by cars that pass by and yeah in Yosemite Park or whatever right these these animals rarely see human beings so that’s right so um again it was a terrible unfortunate accident or event that had yes a neighbor a fellow neighbor heard and came out and and uh addressed it and yeah and so they have captured the bear but we just wanted to share that with you you should know if you decide to go into the more remote areas this could be something that’s you know out there and you know we do we’re kind of a little love country town and we have lots of Critters here you say you found you stay In Town on the golf course you know you don’t have to worry about being attacked while you’re teeing off it’s it’s no it’s nothing like that you know these these things go into the the media and the media tries to sell stories sometimes they can be misleading yes uh as I said before it is a fact he was in Prescott but uh the incorporate area right not downtown that is correct you won’t see any bears going around the square thank goodness thank goodness but uh anyway so we just wanted to share that with you we thought it was um kind of a terrible event that happened but we wanted to assure folks out there thinking about Prescott like wow is that really just like a remote Town yeah not really um you’d be perfectly fine here yeah now we can relate because we’re from New Orleans and that’s right A lot of times people go to New Orleans they’ll worried the alligators are gonna attack that’s right people have probably gotten attacked by alligators within the Incorporated limits of New Orleans but it can happen yeah I never say never yeah I Never Say Never Never Say Never yeah you’re gonna have some exotic dancer with an alligator or Bourbon Street you could you could yeah but she’s got a special Act [Laughter] yeah it happens I’m thinking about that but anyway so yeah keep this all in mind Prescott is Safe we just didn’t want you to feel uh this would be too weird you know it’s not your cup of tea it would be your cup of tea it’s awesome here it’s amazing you’ll love it you’ll love the the scenery everything but it’s pretty much yeah that’s another thing yeah so be aware we got the critters we got Critters so that’s our tip of the day hi hello folks hello and hello Diane I’m Randall bro here coming to you live from Prescott Arizona we are I am the pickle lady we are your local husband and wife real estate team here ready will it enable to help you find your new home and start that next chapter and as I think we’ve indicated before Prescott Loves Dogs Prescott is a huge dog Town yep we know of what we speak we’ve got many dogs ourselves yep up to number four now okay yeah let’s not say the number because now we sound crazy well we sound crazy it’s really like two and a half because the pugs are old and they don’t do much now that’s right they’re just kind of warm and moist yeah yeah you can probably hear one of them snoring one of them but anyway so recently we had to go on a little trip and we wanted to give a shout out to a great new um Pet Resort yes and it’s called Wags Introducing Wags Wags w-a-g-s yes so I needed a place last minute everybody that I usually go to was booked and Wags was open so I Amazing Facility went out to tour it amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing great great facility down in Prescott Valley yeah we got a few pictures I’ll show you some of the pictures but they have one of the things that impressed me me and they had the big screen TV so you can see all the dogs playing you can see your dog playing they’re really good they’ve got all kinds of levels of you know regular kennels all the way up to the deluxe with the TV set for your dog and all that our two dogs stay together in one Our Experience nice kennel and they had a good time and they slowly but surely introduce them to other dogs for playtime and I think it did them a world of good to be socialized and it was just first class that’s how it really was you know as a Customized Approach business person I was so impressed with their sense of process so you walk in we had we have two dogs that were that we were boarding uh they’re puppies they’re about six months old and we tell them that okay puppy so there’s a process for puppies you know are they social well they’re a little shy there’s a process for shy you know and like introducing them slowly and it’s all systematized and they have sections for this small dogs sections for the big dogs and if you’ve got a dog that doesn’t get along with others they have a separate thing for them so you know even if you have a difficult dog they can still have a nice Pre-Assessment time there and they assess your dog yeah they insisted that we bring the dog all free of charge yes bring the dog in and we’ll spend some time with your dog and kind of learn what makes your dog tick and and so we brought the dogs over for a few hours and uh made sure that they you know weren’t going to attack other dogs and weren’t going to be so petrol they passed with flying colors I might say thank goodness which is good because we’ve had dogs in the past that did not so we were happy to hear that and just well well taken care of we got daily While Boarded reports on how their behavior was and a report card so to speak yeah so for all of our friends and clients out there who are new to the area and you’re looking for a place to safely you know put your dogs where you know they’re gonna have a good time and be happy Wags for us is number one so so clean Impressive All Around and sweet smelling yeah everyone was so nice and well informed I I was just very very impressed a great yard for them to play a great indoor yeah I mean it’s just everything is just done first class first class so if you’re looking for a place and you’ve got doggies and you’re moving here to Prescott don’t worry Wags will take care guys will take care of you a hundred percent we can’t say enough good things about them so that’s our little tale uh story about wax shake my tail if I could but I used to have a tail but I had I’m not that’s our tip for the day if you look Wind Down for tips the place to go is pickle411.com that’s our free information site whether you’re a buyer seller somewhere in between there’s something there waiting for you that will Amaze astound and form and Delight you and it’s all absolutely free that’s correct so hope to see you at Wags with your pups and I hope you’re having a great rest of your day bye bye
