Can you imagine someone forcing themselves into your property and then refusing to leave? Can you imagine going to jail for trying to get them out?

Although this may sound ridiculous, in many areas around the country, this is all too real (you can’t make this stuff up).

In this episode we discuss “squatters” – what they are, and what you can (and can’t) do about them.

good afternoon my friends hello peeps this is Diana Randall bro your friendly presc pickle pee person that’s us I am the pickle lady he’s the pickle man yes right yes yeah I guess I’m the pickle man a girin or whatever you want call there you go you’re not a girin you can’t know yeah here today to talk to you about squatters squatters yeah this is something that’s happening across the United States so we have to be very careful and um especially a lot of our buyers are coming in they’re buying a second home this should be a little something concerning but don’t worry in Arizona it’s not that uh big of an issue so what a squatter is is someone who for whatever however man they manage they get inside your home and they don’t leave so it could be a tenant you know that’s renting from you and then they stop paying rent and they just stay refuse to leave could be someone who broke into your home and just refuses to lead correct they become squatters and some states protect the rights of squatters it’s pretty scary so if you try to like turn off the electricity or the water to try to get them out force them out some you could go to jail that’s right yeah and so that the laws in these states protect the squatters and you need to know the laws in your area that’s right so it’s very costly too you have to hire attorneys you you know all all kinds of uh it can be a very prolonged legal process to evict people who technically have broken into and taken over your home that you’re paying taxes and a mortgage on but somehow they have all the rights so now that’s it’s state by state now the the state of uh New York has just gone back on this they had very comprehensive squatter rights legislation or whatever uh the governor has stopped that has said hey maybe this plan isn’t working so well yeah um these people are taking over illegally people’s properties that are owned by someone else New York does dumb things from time to time but usually they learn after a while and they fix it uh that’s what they did here I I I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to give rights to people who break into other people’s homes and take them over and take them over but they did uh and then they realize well this isn’t working because you’ve got you know honest people who are losing their homes and their their jobs and you know it destroys your life someone takes your home it can really yeah and this is mostly people who maybe it’s a vacant home or it’s a second home it’s a vacation home or a rental and I mean it can really recre Havoc with your whole life and your finances and everything else so one thing you should know because we have a lot of folks here who move to Prescot and they buy a second home here it will not be tolerated here we do not allow squatters it’s illegal here uh so don’t worry about that don’t fret uh your rights come first if you own it you’re paying taxes you’re paying mortgage uh people cannot illegally move in and take over your home here you you call we’re not going to do it you call the sheriff the sheriff that’s right will remove the people yeah it’s not going to be uh a Year’s prolonged process and people are destroying your property um so anyway we just want to share that because we do have a lot of second home people who come here the people who have a second home uh a rental home that goes unrented for a while or just go on vacation for a couple months yes uh you know that’s when the squatter’s hit and savy they’re very Savvy uh they even have YouTubers out there teaching squatters exactly how to do it that’s right uh they like home towns where there are a lot of second homes yes uh so it’s if if you’re in that situation you could be at risk so you need to know the laws in your local area and you need to protect yourself absolutely Ely so you should know feel safe and secure Arizona we don’t fool around we’re not going to allow it to happen it’s uh we don’t we don’t uh give any rights to squatters um we give the rights to the people paying taxes and paying their mortgage as it should be really makes you wonder it makes me wonder yeah so anyway don’t worry about that if you’re thinking about coming here for a second home or you travel a lot and it’s your main home but you’re gone for a long time um you’ll you’ll be pretty much protected here so anyway we just thought we’d share that with you because we keep hearing about it more and more in other states and it’s it’s pretty scary so hopefully New York will Le you know New York’s example will lead the way other states will do the same that’s right uh but as at this point it’s it’s there’s really a lot of uh uproar going on because a lot of people have been affected by this absolutely so we just wanted to share that with you good evening hello peeps this is Diana Randle bro your friendly realtor team and mostly friendly yeah I’m I’m always friendly you no not so much well I’m glad you ackowledge you should I’m honest he is honest grumpy sometimes he’s a little grumpy but for the most part he’s pretty fun yeah otherwise I wouldn’t stick around I got to have fun so one thing this is kind of silly but you should know because I come from New Orleans in the Deep South love it here low low humidity so you can pretty much have a good hair day every day every day look at this this is good hair day I set my hair it’s still fluffy it’s been eight hours I’ve been inside I’ve been outside um and I love it yeah because coming from New Orleans we just went for my daughter’s wedding we all were like immediately all hair has to go up because we know it’s gonna fall it’s too damp you can’t you know have a beautiful hairstyle and in two minutes it’s gone yeah so I know this is one of the most important things to think about when you’re moving where can I go and my hair looks good this is the town it is a very important thing it is very important you know of the important factors when you’re making a move yeah you know you don’t realize how nice it is so uh when we lived in Texas and before that Louisiana I used to keep my hair very very short because you just you know it’s like having a damp wet rag on your head you know when it’s really humid like so my whole life I I I always get my hair really really short and I got here during covid you know the barber shops were closed and everything so everyone was kind of letting their hair grow longer so that was probably the longest I ever let my hair grow and uh I just I realized I this actually feels pretty good yeah and when it got chilly you know I have something on my head I don’t have to wear he needs to he needs to protect that pain I’ll tell you do that Pate yeah thinning so we little thin little we got to keep them warm but now it’s growing in my neighbors thought I was having I got uh hair plugs or something and I was just no I just let my let my hair grow longer somebody’s like Rand did you get some hair plugs he’s like what yeah so so you you get used to it you start taking it for granted and we were down in Mexico the beginning of February of course it’s humid down there and I had the I got there within a day I’m like I really want to shave my head you know it’s just get that damp hair on your head feeling I’m like oh man I really could just take a take a shaver and just just and then we got back and you know no now it’s perfect here very very low humidity yeah so your hair looks great all the time which of course is the most important thing in life that’s that’s why it’s up there no doubt about it’s up there so it is kind of funny because when I come back from out of town and I sat my hair I’m like wow my hair’s really staying all day it’s one of the little perks perk just a little quiet perk you might not even know about might not know about it but if you have super super curly hair you’re going to love it here oh yeah it’s going to look great it’s gonna look great you won’t have to be doing a lot of straightening and all that you’ll be very happy so it’s just a little light story to share with you it’s our tip of the day if you like tips place to go is pickle 411.com that is our free information site whether you’re a buyer or seller somewhere in between we’ll have something there for you that will Amaze Astound inform educate for variates no I don’t know I’m making up I’m making up that’s a big word making up words now all right all free all free all complete you don’t have to pay for any of this people call us all the time and say you should charge for this but I we just we don’t when will we charge a dollar I don’t know I don’t do it because I don’t feel like collecting sales tax that’s that just not sales tax hey we just love to share our knowledge that’s right that’s what it’s all about absolutely this is a community service for all of you out there good days Good Hair Days where else are you going to get that except for here all right my friends thank you for listening to this silliness we sure do appreciate it and we would love to help you come and and set your hair and have a good day on a on a house tour you look like a million bucks that’s right so we look forward to hearing from you and can’t wait to hear from you and take you around our cute little town absolutely that’s what it’s all about hope to see you soon take care bye bye

hello hello hello we’re gonna we’re gonna share a little personal story personal story today about Randall and I mostly about me mostly about him um are you gonna put your picture up from the airport that was so funny yeah I could do that that was fun I can do that make sure you put that up because all right so for exposition uh we’ve got these two crazy dogs uh they are half German shepherd and half Belgian Shepherd or malinoa if anybody knows anything about shepher melon was you appreciate the situation we’re in yeah they high energy does not do it justice we’ve had any number of dogs these are by far the most energetic and the sweetest and the sweet so sweet but super protective they are good guard dogs but the funny thing is um you know we realized after this was a midlife crisis decision maybe one dog would have been good what were we thinking at our age to handle two of these um but hey we’re committed um we’re making it work we do love them they’re a riot but anyway we take them to run because our yard isn’t big enough yeah every morning we take them out we we we were going pretty regularly to the dog park you’ve SE we’ve had videos on the dog and we have a good time we still go there we had a good time we still go there from time to time but our our good friends Skip and Kathy uh they found just an open field out by the airport yeah and so we’ve been taking them out there and just big Open Fields and they they just love to run run and beautiful and Skip and Kathy will meet us there a few times with their dog Ranger is his name our dogs are Frankie and Molly so Frankie and Molly go there three of them go crazy together that’s right so Randle goes out and and we let him run and they’re having a good time and we’re throwing the ball and you know like normal people do and then our dog saw a deer yeah the prong horn so I don’t know if they’re antalope or a type of type of deer they’re like dandal opes I I don’t so that was it they were like oh so boom off they go and they can run like the wind they can cover a mile in five five seconds oh yeah it’s unbelievable so anyway so off they go so Randall’s call them they’re not coming so then they don’t come back so then Randall decides I’m gonna go find him he starts walking he could grows over the first Hill so I’m waiting like 25 minutes I’m like hm nobody’s coming back so I cross the hill and then I find the dogs and I take them back to the car I’m like well I’ll call Randall and him found him let’s go home he left his phone in the car so then I start walking the field I put the dogs on a leash this time and I start walking the fields looking for them can’t find them I mean for miles and miles and miles he’s nowhere to be found so after another 20 minutes then I start getting worried and I start thinking did he trip did he fall did he have a heart attack is he laying out in a field somewhere and I can’t see him so I called two good friends Skip and Randy again Randy Al who were kind enough to fly over there and see if they can walk the field too in the meantime another friend got wind they leave their golf game they come over and they’re about to walk the field too so this the purpose of the story is not only is it amusing that Randall was he keeps insisting he was not lost I was not lost I was not lost I knew where I was I knew how to get back I was just taking a long time because he was way there yeah the dogs managed a lot of Hills so every time you go up a hill there’s another Hill that you see that they might be hiding behind so he kept Crossing so I kept Crossing Hills until I ran out of Hills yeah I didn’t know that she already they snuck around so in the meantime we’ve got the posi out to look for him uh and then after 40 minutes we still couldn’t find him so they couldn’t find him either so I call the police so this is a shout out to first of all good friends good friends we have never by by the way all of these friends we met in preset we didn’t know any of these people so this is a shout out to Dear dearest friends if you were looking to move here and you’re scared like I don’t know anybody neither did we yeah but I will tell you these are probably some of the best friends we’ve ever had definitely some of the best um they people here in Prescot they just have your back yeah they do I mean and I don’t know if it’s because everybody’s retired but I mean the call went out everybody showed up to walk the Hills was looking for this idiot um and then the police came and the three of them came and they had Hightech you know binoculars and we found him they could spot him way off let’s just say uh as one of our friends said damn Randall you almost made it to Jerome and if you live here you know where Jerome is I did I kept walking until there were no more Hills and that’s a pretty long walk I probably walked U I’d say a couple miles so anyway it it made me feel good and I I want to give a shout out to the police too they were so professional they came out right away um they they have their own process because a lot of people get lost hiking and stuff so they have their own process they immediately got into it and we all start searching and looking and then we see him and then anyway they found him and Randall came walking back took a long time because he has a New Orleans stroll if you’re from New Orleans you know what that means they don’t walk fast you don’t walk fast when it’s humid and I’m like Rand oh God everybody’s waiting for you hustle but anyway um so we had a good laugh that day yeah we took everybody to lunch so we took everybody to lunch because it really honestly really touched our heart how our friends immediately came uh rallied around us went to help us went to find the police rallied came out right away um you just don’t see it that often anymore but that’s small town living folks we look out for each other and we care about each other and of course now we tease him unmercifully which is part of friendship as well yes they call me the wanderer now he’s Randall The Wanderer rall The Wanderer I have not had such a good laugh in all so we went we went to this restaurant there was a restaurant out by the airport that’s right which is where this field was and there was a picture on on the wall I don’t know where the picture came from and we don’t know who the guy is the joke is it’s me and and I’m by that uh by the uh the air strip the airst strip looking for the dogs that’s how far he made it that’s the joke so uh he will never live that down um we all still laugh about it hardcore and um but it’s just to let you know what a sense of community we have here yeah we really do a lot of people looking out for you everybody looks out and the police were delightful they they did a you know they wanted to make sure that I wasn’t I don’t know scile or whatever so they asked me who’s the president of the United States I said I’ve been gone a while I think it’s Camala Harris and I thought that was pretty funny so yeah I mean so good town good good response from your police uh shout out to you the police department of presc we cannot thank you enough I did write a personal letter for each uh agent who came out to help us and gave him some pickles gave him some pickles and we also dropped off some gift cards as a thank you um love to see the quick response and the care and also to our friends we just gave them lunch that’s all yeah but that was okay um and our love of course and our love so and we would do the same for them in a heartbeat so here’s a toast to them to thank you skip thank you Randy thank you Bob thank you Charlie thank you to the police officers we cannot thank you enough all’s well that ends well with this crazy one here and uh let’s just say she was really trying to kill me she doesn’t want I wasn’t trying to kill him I was no no please save me I want to kill you now she was coming out to kill me I’m going to she was going to turn the dogs on me yeah they called him in for a private interview no they didn’t are you afraid of the pickle lady is there anything you need to tell us she is she threatening you in any way I if you’ve seen is the movie Tombstone there’s a a reference to Prescot there so that movie is very popular in this town and there’s a famous line it says I’m your huckleberry yeah so when they finally found me I said he said I’m your I’m huckle bear so good town people we all have your back here so you should know that if you’re worried about moving you know it’s a it’s a good Community here um we really value neighbors and we really value our police and the police value us and they look out for you so nothing but good things to say about good friends and and a good police force so thank you and alls well that ends well the dogs were fine Mr bro was fine yeah none the worse for where none the worse so uh anyway we all got a good laugh out of that and the wonderer here hello hello peeps Diana Randall bro here coming to you live from prit she’s pickle lady I am the pickle lady we are husband and wife team happy to help you if you buy or sell or moving here we do it all yeah we do and we’d love to help you every step of the way so we are here to talk about something h a client just told us about we’re like dang yeah I think Randy Allen told me this I’m not sure one of our think was he’s just a friend yeah he’s just a friend he’s not even a client he’s guy he figured out this little angle we thought we’d share it and we thought dang that’s smart so something you should know about presca a lot of people don’t know we are oddly centrally located to a lot of yeah destinations yeah yeah yeah right of everything an hour and a half hour 40 minutes to Sedona uh Flagstaff same same distance Phoenix Phoenix Vegas Vegas is 4our Drive Springs go I mean we are so great little day trips that are easy to take drive to get back but the cool thing that our friend Andy Allen shared thank you Randy is sometimes you can catch direct flights out of Vegas yeah so he said sometimes we go there the night before we drive over we have a nice evening in Vegas go see a show and then we catch our flight the next morning and catch a direct flight to wherever we’re going especially if it’s a long a lot of a lot of direct flight flights and long flights out of Vegas yes so as opposed to driving a couple hours to go down to Phoenix uh most of the places that we want to go we’ve we’ve got at least one stop so if you got a layover that’s at least two hours so you’re breaking even on your time instead of doing a layover you spend a couple hours extra in your car yeah it’s kind of six of one half dozen of the other but I tell you the winter that me that’s a big deal uh we do uh a lot of our vacationing in the winter that’s when real it’s a little slower and uh because of the weather layovers are treacherous I mean we we had a layover coming back uh from Mexico we went down to uh Mexico for vacation in uh early February and uh everything was going fine but uh there was a problem with the plane because we had a layover in La so we ended up having a 24-hour layover so hey if you’re going to do that if you can catch direct go direct yeah particular the winter yeah then you can have a good time and then just take off from there and catch a direct flight I am done you know you’re done yeah I am done with connecting flights yeah yeah I don’t know how going kicking in for that again particularly in the winter 100% so just wanted to share that with you it’s easy drive drive over to Vegas have a nice dinner catch a show fly out start your start your vacation in fine form that’s right now on the back end if you can do the same thing and spend the night in veg absolutely or just jump in the car take you a couple extra hours but but yeah you know again it’s only a couple hours more than driving from Phoenix and no layover that’s hours there who WIS to sitting in airport for two hours for the next leg of the trip I hate it I hate it absolutely so I’m all about direct flights if I can catch them I’m all about going to Vegas and catching a great show it’s all good it’s all positive things my friends things so keep that in mind if you’re here in Prescot now or you getting ready to come here and thinking about moving here hey we’ve got it all yeah we do we have fun our tip of the day if you’re in the tips place for you is pickle 411.com that is our free information site whether you are a buyer seller or somewhere in between there is something there waiting for you that will Amaze asound educate inform entertain tantalized that’s right and upsc I don’t know you got it you got it anyway we hope to see you maybe we all go to Vegas I don’t know absolutely all right take care and uh file that away that little tip Absol all right take care have a great great day bye

UV Bug Lights

Coming from New Orleans where cockroaches are the size of Volkswagens, we laugh at the so-called bugs here in Prescott. However, if you want your Prescott home to be absolutely free of flying insects, we have discovered a great little device to help you out, with no disturbing zapping sounds or having to clean fried bug carcasses later!

hello hello hello peeps top of the day to you top of the day to you Diana Randall bro here your friendly husband and wife realtor team here in pres Arizona she’s pickling that’s right getting ready to make some more pickles another five gallons came in but uh as I always say I’m always in production um but today we are talking about you know coming from the Deep South we’re used to tons and tons and tons of bugs yes so we moved here and for us this is basically a bug-free town yeah we tell people there are no bugs here and then they they complain yeah in point of fact there are some there are some so I have to say where we are from this is negligible but for other people they’re like well there are some bugs so Randle has hit upon something a UV bug lights UV bug lights he’s very excited this is a quick and easy tip so you have these things called UV bug lights and you plug them in and it has a UV light yep looks kind of purple bluish and uh it attracts bugs and on the on the light is a card on the side closest to the wall it’s sticky so the bugs go to get to the light like a moth to a flame like a mo there you go a mo a UV light I guess yes and then they get stuck on the other card and then every few months you pull the card you throw it away you drop in the other card you take off the adhesive and it it it it what few bugs you will have in your home in Prescot the UV light will take care of it you have even less it is L and every now and then we have certain Seasons where we have a little bit more like flies flies yeah it works like a charm it works like a charm uh also there’s a period where you get uh moths a few moths come in it attracts moths we get little gnat kind of they’re not gats but they’re something like a that little baby things that can be annoying they go right to that you it’s amazing so anyway he’s all excited let’s talk about the UV bug they’re cheap you know put one in all the big rooms Y and uh you will pretty much be bug free after that yep really really interest that’s it so especially if you’re showing your house or whatever so if you some of these like bug traps bug strips electrical things we you have these fried carcasses and stuff nothing like that the bugs adhere to The Far Side so you don’t see them at all that’s right it’s very private you’re bug catching yeah your your your your bug graveyard it’s hidden hidden hidden all right so that’s our little goofy tip of the day goofy tip of the day hope you appreciate it as much as we do in our house we love it yeah if you like tips a place to go is pickle 411.com there you’ll find our free information site whether you’re a buyer seller somewhere in between there’ll be something there waiting for you for that will Amaze astound and eliminate your bugs I’ll uh let’s do it let’s do it yeah all right nice to see you and I hope you have a great rest of your day bye bye

Outlook for 2024

hello hello hello hello Peeps and happy happy New Year’s to you 2024 baby we here at the pickle team Randall and I would like to wish you the happiest and warmest wishes for the upcoming year here’s to good stuff happening for all of us it’s supposed to be a good year 2024 is a lucky number if you add up in numerology it adds up to eight which is infinity good for love good for good luck so that’s what I’m betting on how about you leap year leap year plus leap year always an auspicious event correct keep the uh the Mercury retrograde thing yeah I don’t know I don’t know I’m not that well versed and all of that but we wanted to wish you the happiest of New Year’s you’re probably getting this a few weeks into the month of January yeah but we’re recording it near the front you know that’s right got to edit and all that takes a little time so all of this is uh you get it a few weeks after we actually film so here we are we want to talk about 20124 we’re super excited everyone was gloom and doom about 2023 it wasn’t bad folks not so much it was not bad at all yeah prices were very stable y uh we’re back to a buyer Market uh inventory was low but you we managed to find some good homes for our guys yep uh so brought in some new blood in the city lots of really nice people great year and no regrets they were glad they were scared of the interest rate but they made the jump anyway yeah they know that they can refinance so they didn’t let it hold them back and now they’re living the dream and our beautiful town of Prescot yep so it’s uh pretty exciting times yeah a lot of Gloom at the front of 2023 as every we recall we predicted that none of that would come to pass and it has not yep uh more gloom and doom for 2024 or what are people saying I don’t even know well they’re a little more encouraging because interest rates are dropping which is good yeah so we’re super excited about that so if you’re contemplating you know Now’s the Time our folks who did it in 2023 no regrets yeah don’t put your life on hold yeah grab that gold ring go for it yeah in terms of interest rates so um the expectation is that interest rates will go lower uh for 2024 what is low what is not low is two and a half okay yeah yeah I think that’s over those days are over and all indications are that uh us of a certain age tends to be people interested in presc it uh we’re not going to see that again U and the reason why we saw it is that we had lots of baby boomers who were not retired yet uh they were making lots of money and they were investing lots of money well that created a supply a very large supply of investment money and that drives down interest rates uh now most of the Baby Boomers are retired uh when they retire they stop investing so aggressively they get very conservative uh they start consuming money uh so those funds will no longer be there and that means Supply goes down that means your interest rates go up so I I would say you know you know a healthy economy is five or six uh with a few points of inflation and it looks like that’s exactly where we’re heading so that that’s actually really broad picture here that’s very healthy very healthy so uh if you’re waiting for two and a half then you’re gonna you’re not gonna make it don’t yeah don’t give up on life waiting for two and a half yeah move forward get out there make your move here our cost of living is amazing in presc your money will go much farther than you know some of the other places uh people are moving from California Washington Oregon you’ll be pleasantly surprised yes how far your dollar goes yes here in Arizona so we’ll have some other areas of the country that might suffer um so you’ll hear bad news about real estate Phoenix may be one of those areas um I don’t a few other other areas that got built up really fast uh with markets that are much more sensitive to interest rates um that won’t be presc uh presc is a relatively small town we are a very viable alternative to all of the uh retirement destinations that people talk about um so I I I just don’t see anything happening in presc for the foreseeable future we we’re just totally leveling off and holding strong holding strong holding strong plus we’ve got amazing weather Four Seasons uh you don’t have to worry about hurricanes you don’t have to worry about fires you don’t have to yeah well we can get a little baby little had a baby earthquake we had a baby earthquake supposed to have one every 50 years and it’s in Chino Valley which about 20 miles north of here yeah and I think it was a three or two and a half or something so I mean this is the time you want to try something new come to our town interest rates are starting to drop everything else is great here you might enjoy a new chapter right yeah don’t you think yeah I think so so we would love to help you with uh your search take you on a tour of our lovely town and uh show you what it’s all about for 2024 so we hope you a I think a lovely real estate team here in Prescot lovely in the sense that we’re good at what we do maybe not always the most attractive but well we try to have fun we try to make this as stressfree from that what are we talking about I don’t know if you’re going to leave you need to know where we’re going we’re going me lose my my we are here to talk about whiny cats whiny cats and you’re not going to believe what this is about yeah it’s not about whiny cats it’s actually a lovely lovely Winery out in Chino valleyin Valley yes and it’s actually called whiny cat cat w i NE y you get the play on that cats and don’t they also like rescue cats too yeah they do they rescue cats and I think some of the they they uh uh some of their funds go to the care of of cats so we’ve had several friends I’m going to give a shout out to Lori and John and uh Jim and Laura yeah they uh have rolled Us in rolled Us in R Us in that’s the word I word they have roped Us in us in a couple times a couple times and they said you got to go try this place whining CS I’m like never heard of it um these of course folks are are luckily retired so they have a much better life than us yeah so they discover these great things and they tell us all about it they cut us in and then they cut us in and they’re kind enough to invite us and we go out and have a great time so whiny cats recently had a big event and you could uh buy some tickets and they had a battle of the bands and you sit under these gorgeous giant trees were they cotton Woods I don’t know what kind trees beautiful shady and they set up tables and you can have a reserve table and this time you could have they they provided lunch but most of the time if you go out there just to listen to the live music they have wine and ciders and beers and you can bring your own food yeah bring your own food so you can bring your own food your own Sherie boards and just sit out there under the beautiful trees and enjoy the weather and great music yeah and dancing some really great bands yeah so we were tickled uh to be invited with the cool kids yeah John and Laura Lorie or the the cool kids Cool Kids yeah they’re always out there partying and teaching us new things so um this was a good one without your shair absolutely right down the road at Chino you don’t have to drive far not a far drive I don’t know maybe a 30 minute drive yeah but it’s just a a delightful time just to while away the afternoon especially now that fall is here it’s just beautiful you need a little break get away from it all be outside in nature whiny cats whiny cats yeah great little I mean who would think that you’d have this great Winery out in the middle of Chino but there it is try the cider try oh I love The Cider with lavender yeah good stuff so we have a good time and of course we love hanging with those folks they’re good friends and um they paid us you know they said would you mention our names I said okay what do you want from us so no they didn’t do that no they didn’t what are you talking about he’s like are you serious no you shouldn’t know no no I no but we appreciate a good invite cuz we need a break every now and then and it’s great this was a good one yeah it was good very relaxing just very just hanging out and all Outdoors yeah was a beautiful day under in the shade yeah some really good music so we just want to give a shout out to whiny catsy cats plus they they they do a lot of good for the homeless kitty cats homel kitty cats so we’re happy to be uh part of that too yeah absolutely so we want to Folks coming from places with tent cities or aggressive panhandlers often want to know: what's the situation here for the unhoused population? Today's discussion will enlighten you on the circumstances and services surrounding the issue of homelessness in Prescott.

good afternoon oh peeps right in my ear peep get away Diana R bro she’s the preset pickle lady we’re Realtors here in preset Arizona coming at you with more stuff more stuffs more stuff some of our big questions we get from clients who come in and we help them uh find a home is they have a lot of questions about Healthcare which we address a few episodes back and also homelessness homelessness which is a very unfortunate thing especially since coid has happened I I think a lot of people who were already kind of on the poverty line lost their jobs during coid and cannot get kind of back on their feet they’ve lost their Apartments so um people are very concerned yeah a lot of areas there really is no plan no uh so so the homeless populations are growing more and more uh in some communities it’s gotten to the point where it has become uh a safety issue and a health issue and and a health issue uh so a lot of people come to preset and that’s uh depending on where they’re coming from if they come from a place where there’s a lot of homelessness and the issues that come with that that’s one of the questions they ask us and they’re very concerned um and cuz they don’t want to jump out of the frying pan and to the fire um they want to make sure that our town has that situation under control and we do we have a lot of services um we try to really help people reach out to them um get them safely off the street and into some housing um we try very very hard yes so you will not find a lot of tent cities along the streets or or in major roads or uh in Parks or anything like that uh I’m sure there are some areas but they try very hard to reach folks and get them the help that they need so if you’re thinking about coming here and you’re like am I just going to be having the same experience um where there’s so many people who need help yeah um not so much here not so much yeah we do try very hard uh there is a little bit more than uh homeless as I said because we’re kind of coming out of coid and people are trying to get their footing again yeah and so there is a lot of services here it’s very important to our town to reach those folks and try to help them so if that is a major concern for you um our town is pretty Progressive yeah um I am not going to tell you you’ll never see a homeless person or an unhoused I should say um unhoused is the proper term and and so please forgive me if I’m saying the wrong thing but um we try to really address that and and help those folks and get them into some services so the the homeless community that we have here you all communities have their own cultures and their own Norms uh in a lot of areas in a lot of communities the homeless people are very uh militant you know they are cost people uh they go out of their way to create nuisances um those of you who lived in those kinds of cities you know what I’m talking about our homeless people here are not like that maybe it’s because our community tries so hard to give them Services uh but I have not really experienced that at all no no nothing aggressive um so we uh try to show compassion and kindness and care and uh I know the town is always thinking of other options that they can do what buildings can they buy what’s something that we can do to house the unhoused and um it’s important to people here yeah so anyway we just kind of wanted to elay some of your fears about that yeah and uh let you know that Prescot is a loving town here and we have a lot of compassion especially for um some of the unhoused veterans yes um which there are quite a few and so yeah they’re over represented a lot of end up for one reason or another end up homeless that’s very important to us here to try to reach those people and and really help them and help them get uh get some get back on their on their feet yes so that is our little story today about the uh definitely a frequently Asked question so we it is so we thought it was important to talk about that and uh let you know what it’s like here in our town absolutely okay so thank you for listening and we hope this kind of answers some of your questions about that and we hope to see you soon uh the square is getting already lit up for the holidays for Christmas this is the time the weather’s beautiful come see us all right we’d love to help you when your next steps here take care bye

good morning hello peeps Jesus little energetic today that’s too much five but down I think he’s just happy Rand and Dian bro here my shoulders are bowed oh my God Rand and Dian bro here coming to you from Prescot Arizona she’s pickle lady I am the pickle lady we are the husband and wife um real estate team uh happy to help you find a new place here uh make a new start here in Prescot and one of the biggest questions we always get from people coming in from out of town is Healthcare Healthcare Healthcare yeah so we decided to report to you live from the front lines front lines the very they’re very trenches our very own experience so you’re going to follow us as we go in with Randall to have a colonoscopy yeah that’s right it’s amazing what I do for my clients yeah I I really didn’t need it I just did it so that I could tell you about it no that’s not true I have had h i I can’t tell you how many colonoscopies I’ve had yes I it started we got a little issue yeah it started when I was about 12 yeah it’s so I my family has a history of the kind of cancers that you know lead to colon cancer so by the I I was in my 30s I think and I st no not that’s it no but anyway first one so and that is a legitimate concern people coming here yeah and we just want you to know uh both of us um our own personal experiences and some of our experiences of some friends who are a little bit older um health care is evolving and growing here um uh as the town is growing so is the health care um they’re making some changes uh Dignity Health Care came in and brought over bought out I should say the yapay regional hospital yeah they are actively working on getting doctors on hand you know enticing younger doctors to come and stay um we’re working on it it’s a process and that’s true in most areas of the country most areas of the after Co you know providers it’s it’s getting harder and harder and U you know the money’s not as good as it used to be and blah blah blah it’s it’s hard and our little town is uh doing its best just like a lot of other areas uh the interesting thing about a colonoscopy is I mean from the standpoint of evaluating Health Care is that I know this procedure really well I’ve done it a lot I did it uh before dignity this is the first time I had it done after dignity yes so this allows me to kind of compare the two uh this is a procedure that you schedule so there’s no excuse you know if you in a car AC accident or you know in something unforeseen and you’re in the emergency room well you’re kind of at the you’re subject to whatever is happening at the time colonoscopy it’s routine it is scheduled so it should feel routine having done it a couple of thousand times I can tell you A lot of times it’s not routine I have found myself waiting in rooms that have millions of dollars of equipment waiting for oh we don’t have this piece we don’t have this nurse we don’t have blah blah blah blah blah if you do a routine procedure it should feel routine like they have complete Command of the situation they’ve got their system down they have their system down and let me tell you this was the best I think I’ve ever had yeah in terms of just having their act together yep it ran smooth just very smooth he literally was in and out no pun intended he no sooner was was back there then he was back out they had it very systematized we were very pleased with the service the hospital even sent him a real a little note a little note how many times you get that you have a procedure done thank you and uh everyone signed it so you had the the the welcoming nurse I don’t know what they call her but she was very nice her name’s Jenna the anesthesiologist yeah uh signed this he was very nice uh the GI the uh the PN I’m not even sure what a PN was and then the recovery nurse so yeah we were very impressed uh with the systems that they had in place in and out no problem and so we just wanted to share with you our own personal experiences I know there’s a lot of hesitation like it’s a small town are we going to be taken care of the answer is yes yes um we uh there’s also a great Breast Care Center here that a lot of people go to we get you know 3D mammograms and Cutting Edge stuff there I’ve been been very satisfied with that we’ve had several friends with heart conditions that have been happy with their cardiologists here um and the good thing about living in presc is we’re only an hour and a half away from some of the most Cutting Edge research hospitals in the United States we’ve got the Mayo Clinic the American Cancer Centers Anderson MD Anderson has now opened a branch here in Phoenix so you know if any anything God forbid major really happens you need the best of care you we’ve got it like you know an hour and a half away um so it’s all doable and we’ve had unfortunately a lot of friends who had to go down there they just plan their schedules they go down sometimes they spend the night and come right back up so it’s all doable don’t let the health care scare you away we are up and coming we’re growing um and right down at down the hill as they say is the big the big guns if you need it and we lived in we lived right outside of Houston uh for 17 years and the same was true then yeah uh you know if I had developed cancer I would have been at MD Anderson and which was about an hour and half an half drive yeah so it’s about the same you know so don’t let it scare you we just kind of wanted to share with you our own personal experiences one more getting back to the whole routine thing okay this is something I have experienced a a lot of times and I was delighted to to see that they didn’t do this so you wait for your procedure you wait you wait you wait they put you in an operating room that’s that’s uh not being used and stash you away you get the same questions asked a thousand times and then they don’t remember the answers uh none of that none of that and the thing especially that annoys me is you wait you wait you wait and then you are out cuz you know they put you under general anesthesia and then somebody is waking you up cuz they need the bed they’re trying to get rid of it they hustle you out they hustle you out roll up they did not hustle me out they waited until I just kind of came to and then the nurse in the recovery room comes over and she just says you okay how you doing you know how you feeling you want some water you know and then you know 10 15 minutes later they they uh they brought me the transport to get out and it was very the door yeah and one other thing I should mention maybe I shouldn’t mention it with my wife in a room but I have to say this oh I have to say this the nurses that work in GI are gorgeous I I thought I was being punked oh all these beautiful women are there to you know help me have a scope I’m like oh my God how embarrassing for you yeah it’s like obviously I couldn’t make a move you know what I’m saying I felt very vulnerable yeah all these young things just beautiful I don’t know why beautiful girls going to that kind of work but there you go I need to cut that yeah no that’s staying in so shout out to the beautiful nurses that do GI over at they have never recovered they’re still talking about this experience yeah they’re still talking about me I’m still talking about them I think I’ve got a note I’ve got a note know I I that’s not for real I don’t get your hopes up I don’t think they were that impress although you know the recovery nurse and her name is uh oh gosh her name’s Sarah she seemed very impressed that I had no pups you know men my age that’s a that’s a big selling point no I have no pup so this one’s pup free ladies po free po free he’s available up free P up free he’s available in hello folks hello peeps hello and hello and hello yeah it’s us this is Diana Randall bro here coming to you from Prescot Arizona we are your local Friendly helpful husband and wife real estate team um we work hard for you and we’re here to talk to you give you a good Public Service Announcement Public Service Announcement about static electricity static electricity so as you may know uh it the uh humidity is low here which is really nice it makes for uh nicer Summers makes for nicer Winters uh you know you’re not constantly sweating I I really have come to embrace low humidity in fact last year we went back to Louisiana where we’re from and she and I both were like oh my God I’m wet you it was just horrible the downside there is a down low humidity is static electric static electricity so for all of you coming here God forbid if you have Pacemaker a Pac maker no I’m kidding or any kind of any kind of Health qu you might you might recharge yourself a little more than you think no I’m kidding it doesn’t do that that’s a joke that’s a joke that’s a joke but uh because it is dry here sometimes you’ll be walking with your shoes on carpet or something you get a little static going and then you touch something and it will wake the hell out of you well if you’re not used to it so we’ve been been here now for what seven years or something and I get shock I still get shocked all the time but you get used to it you know the first time sound it makes a loud sign sometimes you even see a spark you know if it’s kind of dark you’ll see a spark and uh it takes a little getting used to at the beginning it was a little unnerving like why why is there so much stat why I never had I haven’t ever had this much static before it’s just the weather here just the dryness the low humidity it’s the perfect St it scares you more than anything else it’s not really uh painful but if you’re not expecting it it’s it’s like someone saying boo you know you seem like geez I’m shocking myself left and right I’m shocking myself left and right you’ll get used to it welcome to preset yeah it’s part of the deal it’s an Electrifying Town electrifying Town town in more ways than one yeah so when you come here and you get a little jump every now and then it’s a little extra something put your little pep in your step yeah makes you feel alive it’s good and some people here need to have a little static yeah if yeah yeah that’s true if you uh well I guess I was going to say if you’re working with a computer they used to tell you you know try to ground yourself but now most most of the time if you’re working with a mouse that doesn’t have a cord you’re okay yeah if you have like a laptop you might want to ground yourself ground yourself ground yourself be grounded you’re going to get a little Get grounded and nipped nip a little a little static you want to nip your computer we’ve never that’s never happened to us no but uh I would imagine that’s really the only the only thing I can think of that might be significant because of static electricity so when you move here you might be like wow I’m just getting shocked left and right it’s normal yeah um it’s par for course here don’t be alarmed um just count it as a little blessing when you’re tired you know wake you up a little bit wake you up a little bit and it always makes me laugh because he jumps and makes a sound and nothing makes me laugh more than when people get hurt I don’t know why it it’s always hits me harder I don’t know why I guess I’m a drier person than you are I don’t know but I always seem to get shocked and she always seems to be the one laughing yes it is it it it can be kind of funny so that’s just a very important PSA a little PSA we thought we’d share with you don’t get don’t be upset it’s an electrifying Town electrifying town it’s part of life here so if you need Buying Or Selling Home any help buying or selling a home please call us we are happy to help you happy to show you you around and you can reach us at well you can reach us on our website we have a free information site available at pickle 411.com whether you a buyer seller somewhere in between there’s something there waiting for you that will Amaze a stound electrify electrify yes good form I like how you you know tie that work that in would that clever yes you Loop that back that was good that is a loop back that was a loop back good job good job good job there it is all right cheers to you cheers to me all right have a wonderful rest of your day nice to see you bye Wind Down bye

hello hello hello hello happy to be coming to you live live recording this live Diane and Randall bro here in lovely mountain town at Prescott Arizona that’s us that’s right Mountainous Landscape you think mountain town you don’t think of Arizona but here we are yeah we are mountain town it is a lovely Mountain Town kind of like Flagstaff not quite as high as Flagstaff um but nothing like you ever thought you’d see in Arizona that’s right people think Arizona is a desert the whole state is a desert about half of it is really pretty mountainous and yes not so much no I guess they call us a high desert not cinnamon desert right right High Desert good low desert bad yeah so we’re here in the high desert we have four seasons um the governor recently declared a heat emergency in all of Arizona all of Arizona it really didn’t apply to us no I don’t know why she did that yeah at the time Heat Emergency of the heat emergency I think our high that day was 85. it was so when you hear this very alarming temperatures Etc yes it does exist down in Phoenix or down the hill as we say when you live up in Prescott I’m going down the hill down the hill which means or the Valley Phoenix they did have a heat emergency they were having quite intense temperatures yeah they broke records I guess that was for July yeah uh so they broke some records and they did they had some very treacherous um scary stuff scary stuff going on not here though it did not apply to us well it applied to us because the governor said it did but right but yeah technically not really so our temperatures may get perhaps in July in the high 90s yeah which we kind of look for because then that sets the monsoon pattern and creates the rains which we really love and want which we’re getting so right now Four Seasons so we can tolerate a few days of a little high 90 Heat so as long as it can bring on the montoons and when they come in the temperatures drop to the 70s it’s completely delightful yeah so uh when you hear these enormous High temps down in the valley it really is not us really don’t be scared by that yeah and it’s going to be piercing sometimes like you’ll be in Prescott watching the weather and you’re watching weather in Phoenix you know yes that is a good point yeah there’s something you should know we don’t have a local TV station here so all of our news that we see is coming from Phoenix so sometimes you’ll be sitting down there and listening to oh my gosh yeah yeah what’s going on did you hear that happen it’s not here it’s in Phoenix you have to kind of take it with it yeah same thing with crime same thing with crime yeah yeah my mother doesn’t seem to get that she watches the news oh I heard there was a murder right downtown like then in Phoenix keep that in mind if you’re watching the local news the quote local news it’s really Phoenix news so when they’re talking about those temperatures and things like that it’s really not Prescott proper yeah that’s right so when you hear heat emergency don’t equate it with Prescott even if the governor says it’s the whole state she’s a liar she’s a liar that’s a little strong I don’t think she thinks much about uh areas outside of Phoenix that’s a joke that’s a joke relax relax I’m not calling the governor a liar that’s the joke it’s just a joke I’m getting a little Punchy it’s been a long day it’s been a long little peeps hello Diane and Randall bro here coming to you from Prescott Arizona we are your local Friendly uh Realtors just loaded with knowledge expertise fun I really like to think so at least a fun day the fun bit Yeah I do bring a lot of Comedy yeah we try we try to make it fun yeah we’re here to talk about something that just happened here in Prescott Lakes where we live which is a great community a huge neighborhood we love it they had something called yappy hour and uh we they anybody who lived in Prescott Lakes could bring their dogs right uh to the greens where did we go yeah with the uh driving range driving range and so I’m like that’ll be cute and then you could make a donation to the local vendor yeah well to the animal shelters and bring donations there with bones for the dogs but what was shocking was so I’m thinking okay that’ll be cute oh oh my gosh it was like a real event [Music] a great table set up they had a uh they had a beverages alcohol they had food they had all these different vendors for dogs and cat I mean all this great stuff and you could bring your dog it was a beautiful day walk your dog on the green meet other dogs meet other people it’s a great idea first of all so much fun Prescott is a huge and you don’t necessarily meet other people with their dogs if you’re walking you see the dogs you know who owns them uh so this this was an opportunity for all the dog owners to kind of show up and it was hilarious because some of the you know people would know your dog oh I know your dogs you know what are their names and I walk by them all the time your dog said the ones that bark at it yeah you’re the dogs are the ones that Barker we got them yeah those are right not the best title we wanted to have yeah they’re puppies they’re puppies yeah we’re trying but we had the best time and so hats off to Prescott Lakes yes for having such a great event yes and there was a general manager of that cabin was his idea it was and what a great benefit great idea it was a great benefit went over huge everybody had a great time and puppies got to meet each other and everybody got to chit chat and what’s not to love and a beautiful sunny day it was a beautiful to be surrounded by lots of cute puppies and dogs and yeah I mean we just had the best time and our dogs were very well behaved yes our dogs were not the worst no they weren’t I was and I was very happy about that I was very happy about that yes so anyway we just wanted to share that that if you moved to Prescott Lakes like we live they have a lot of different events like this this was the first time they did yappy hour happy hour but uh we’re gonna do it again because they’re gonna do it again over so well it was special everyone was so happy about it so yeah that’s just one of the many events that Prescott Lakes will put on besides their music that they have and and Fun Stuff they’re always doing something cooking uh classes it goes on and on and on so this one was so unique we thought we’d mention we had to share a happy hour just something it just it was a great idea never heard of it before that’s right what a what a great event and what a great fundraiser yeah I mean it was really nice to help out the animal shelter so not a bad thing absolutely so if you move here to Prescott and you are a dog lover you might consider Prescott lake so you too can come join us at yappy hour yeah it’s not that town loves dogs here yes we had I think we had another video that talks about places you can restaurants you can go that welcome puppies yeah yeah it’s great yeah all right my friends I think that is it for today I think so anything else about yappy hours no that’s it for happy hour that’s it oh and yappy hour they also had music playing too so it was a lot of fun yeah some of the dog stands some of the dogs were dancing yeah it was great I made a couple little introductions so look like little love stories happening matchmaking yeah yeah it’s all good so yeah that’s it for yappy hour see you later and we hope to see you soon and uh give us a call if you’re coming to Prescott I’d love to help you bye

hello hello peeps and hello and hello Diane and Randall bro cheers to you well all right we will okay here in Prescott Arizona coming to you live when you see it it won’t be live that’s right but it was live when we did it at this present moment it’s live we’re not computer generated no we’re this is no AI involved here uh we are no I at all pretty much yes yeah hardly any real human flesh here we’d look a lot better yeah that’s right sure I think my AI will look better yes here to talk about newcomers newcomers so that’s one of the things that you need to know about city of Prescott so there was a indigenous population of Prescott uh probably up until you know 2008 I guess was the big financial crash and that was pretty much the town the people have kind of been here a long long time and then right about the time that we start we came here I guess which was 2016 or something like that um then nuke it became more of a retirement Town that’s right and now this town is being kind of taken over by the newcomers newcomers so if you’re not summer that’s maybe not such a great thing I you know but uh if you are a newcomer it’s a great thing it’s a great thing because honestly everybody’s in the same boat yeah um most people come here they don’t have friends they don’t have family they don’t have children here they’re just coming to enjoy their golden years and our beautiful you know tail and and so you come here and and uh we’re all in the same boat so it’s very easy and I also have found it’s a super super friendly Town yes so you could sit at a restaurant and at a table and then just chat with somebody across the way they’re all in the same boat yes so they’re like hey how are you when did you move here that’s true true the people who are native here too absolutely everybody here it’s a very welcoming friendly town and depending on what neighborhood you go into uh you know most of them have things structured for you to meet other people as well especially like Prescott Lakes yes where we live huge social amenities uh clubs within the club hiking club book club uh you know social events so if you don’t get out if you don’t join those things well you know yeah yeah that’s on you and you want to meet people you’re not meeting people it’s because you’re staying in your house that’s right and you’re spending all your time looking at your phone or something like that that’s right we have so much going on in this town you don’t even have to live in Prescott Lakes which is lovely to meet people but uh even anywhere there’s so many activities there’s music scene is big big pickleballs art galleries yeah I mean they’ve got so many things going on they always have events going that you can go and meet other people and we’ve made a lot of friends that way as well so uh you know don’t be afraid like I don’t know a soul there neither did we neither do we another thing that’s really nice about a town of newcomers too is that it’s very Cosmopolitan we have people here from all over the country with all kinds of experiences uh most of them are very accomplished you know that there were a lot and they’re look going into their golden years so that they tend to be very accomplished and educated and just interesting Folk that’s right uh with interesting hobbies and some of the best people I’ve met I’ve met here and impressed as a newcomer as a newcomer as a newcomer so please don’t be afraid to make a new start in a town where you don’t know anybody believe me you can do it well yeah it’s pretty much you know I mean you’ll make it here in Prescott yeah you will everybody’s super great super welcoming so don’t be afraid yeah that’s right get over here and meet some new people that’s right and start your new chapter if you’re shy you give me another shot to you that’s great that’s good there’s a group for that too I’m sure yeah that’s our tip for the day if you’re into tips we got plenty for you you need to go to pickle411.com that is our free information site whether you are a buyer or seller somewhere in between there’s something waiting for you that will educate uh inform and Astound you and it’ll only cost you ten dollars no that’s not true it’s absolutely free absolutely free it’s a pickle41.com lots lots there lots of things to do things to say that’s why my wife yes yes true true so get here and be new and come meet us that’s right we’d love to meet new people yes okay take care bye

Terrain Troubles

hello hello hello you gotta move fast when you’re with pickle lady well listen we got a schedule we’re doing 10 of these today she is a task master we’re shooting 10 of these today so it’s like look let’s go boom boom boom that’s the magic of Television well I guess it’s not really television what is it I don’t know what this is it’s crazy today we’re talking about terrain Terrain this is something Randall does that Downshifting absolutely drops me insane it’s a new thing he does when we’re going down a hill he likes to shift and nothing I don’t know why I’m gonna be honest the crap out of it well that’s reason number one let me do it Flat Terrain Diane and I are both from New Orleans and we’ve spent a lot of our lives in Houston if you’ve ever spent any time there once you get past the heat of the humidity and the mosquitoes the next thing you notice is that everything is flat flat flat flat super flat so the Hill Skills first time we had just moved here and there’s a pretty big hill right outside our subdivision it leads down to a stoplight the first time I went down that Hill the light turned red and by the time I got to the end of the hill I could not stop I never drove anywhere where there were Hills particularly going downhill and I have none of those or at that time had none of those skills uh so I I get down to then I break and he was screeching yeah screeching through the six-way stop or whatever it is blowing screaming vocally as well and Screech yes not just the tires yeah not just the tires everybody sounded like a little girl yeah just a little bit yeah so I had to learn how to drive where Braking is Good there’s terrain and uh so the next thing I have to break going downhill and then after a year and a half and I needed to get new brake pads I learned to Downshifting is Better downshift so uh for those of you who have lived places where they’re Hills you know what I’m talking about if you’re if you drive an 18-wheel uh wheeler you know what I’m talking about you know when you’re going downhill instead of breaking the whole time you want to downshift and that keeps the car from getting too fast and it keeps you from wearing out your brakes yes it does but it’s also highly annoying yeah which is another benefit yeah oh God we need to get somewhere yeah anyway that’s another story for another day so that’s strange part part of the thing about terrain is you need to learn how to drive where there’s terrain if you’re not used to it it’s it’s a thing so you know it’s a skill that you need to pick up yeah but All-Wheel Drive another thing you should realize too uh when you move here don’t think you have to have an all-terrain vehicle it’s helpful a lot of people we have a high percentage of Subarus you’ll see them everywhere yes and they are great uh in the winter when we have a little bit of snow and a little bit of ice but even if you don’t have an all-terrain we don’t yes the snow it’s not a problem it’s not you don’t need it’s not that severe no Snow Skills snow tires no chains on your tires nothing like that nothing four-wheel drive is helpful it’s not necessary so when it first starts the snow um you know if you’re going up up a hill and you don’t have four-wheel drive you there are times you won’t make it don’t try to just go really fast and make it to the top because if you don’t make it you’re going to slide back down and hit the cars behind you which is pretty interesting yeah so if you if it begins to snow uh and we don’t get enough snow for this really to matter particularly if you’re retired uh if your car doesn’t have four-wheel drive you might want to just wait until everything’s plowed and all that stuff yeah that’s what we do yeah and I mean we are from the Deep South we have never been in Hills we have never been in any kind of winter weather we do just fine we do just fine we do yeah you do need all-terrain uh Well-Maintained Roads vehicles to drive in New Orleans and that’s just because they don’t spend any money on the roads we just did a uh a wind down on road construction yes they’re very although they just did all the road construction asphalt is wonderful uh so you really don’t need all-terrain vehicles for the roads in town if you get off the beaten Off the Beaten Path path you know if you want to go uh down some of the like Senator Highway leads down yeah some of the more remote areas yes you will yeah and that’s fine people do it people Jeep a lot yeah a lot of people yeah but you don’t need that around town just regular driving around no you might have trouble with low clearance vehicles uh and we did a a video before on driveways sometimes yeah it’s kind of hard to get up the curb or it’s not graded right uh and if you have uh like a Prius or something like that you might need a little more clearance yeah but uh but it’s all good it’s yeah it’s nothing like nothing to be scary nothing to be scared yeah Terrain Geekery I have a uh I just bought uh three 3D maps that show terrain on the map and uh he’s such a nerd yeah and I had to go have him framed yeah she did so every day he looks at all the terrains it’s a weirdo I’m in love with Torino the first time we went to uh we went to Denver we were with some friends and I made them pull over so I could throw a rock over the cliff then just watch it yeah wow that’s amazing gravity is a wonderful it’s been a long 37 years yeah you know if you know what I mean yeah [Laughter] so that’s terrible that’s our terrain lesson for you you’re coming to Prescott you should be Introduction good morning hello peeps hope everybody’s day is off to a great start ours is I think so we are here uh this is Randall and Diane bro here in Prescott Arizona coming to you this morning to talk about something a lot of people are getting concerned about called overpopulation Prescott Overpopulation? population here in Prescott now I have to say you know maybe 20 years ago Prescott might have been 30 000 people yeah who knows who knows you should know when you hear overpopulation we don’t want people to think there’s millions of people here in Prescott that is just not the case we have about 54 000 people in Prescott proper yeah and another 53 54 whereabouts in Prescott Valley so between the two towns you’re talking about 100 000. there you go for the most part I mean people in Prescott do go out to PV to shop we do that people in Prescott Valley will come in for entertainment but people don’t it’s not like you’re commuting back and forth every day you know and in the morning in the afternoon so have we been just discovered yes are people moving here yes but you should know this is a Retirement Town retirement town we don’t have I mean there are people here who work but this isn’t like a big bustling town like Chicago or L.A where people are commuting daily for their jobs yeah or Orange County yeah I think a lot of people are comparing like this is going to be the next Orange County it’s not we don’t have the industry we don’t have the room to have the industry maybe out in Prescott Valley one day but impress No Commute Headaches your proper it’s pretty much done and so you know people who retire here um they’re not on the roads they’re not on the road at 7 A.M trying to get in in line to commute to work so you know has traffic increased a little bit a little but my God it’s still nothing like the big cities no it’s not like you have an hour and a half commute to get to your grocery store or something like that it’s just it’s just not yeah I I don’t get it I mean I don’t find it that way if you’re looking for a town that has no more than thirty thousand people then you know this train has passed that’s right uh you know I’ll tell you my take on kind of what’s going on I’m the one who does most of our marketing so I have my nose in social media there is yeah more than more than particular lady does and uh yeah my hands and pickles yeah she has her hands making pickles that’s Local Sentiment right yeah they have local people here who do not want the town to change a lot of people don’t want their Hometown to change you have people here who don’t want the town to change and there are some of those that will actually go on social media and actively comment to try to discourage people from coming here and one of the things they talk about is overpopulation it’s just not so it’s just not so unfortunately when a place is attractive and you live in a free country people will go there and if you live in a place that’s not so good people will leave you can always vote with your feet that’s one of the freedoms here and uh you know if if people don’t want other people to move here they need to buy the whole town if they don’t own all the property and you know what as much as they complain they always sell to the highest bidder which is usually someone from out of town Change & Adaptation anyway and as we know when you’re married a long time as we have been yes uh things change yes and you have to adapt to stay married yeah God knows I’ve learned that that’s right yeah that’s that’s right you have to add that so it’s the same thing when you live in a town that has been discovered and things that people are moving in you just kind of have to adapt it’s changing and sometimes it changes for the better um it has changed for the better since we have been here we have been here at this point about seven years and when we first got here it was a little there wasn’t a lot going on now there are more good restaurants more things to do it’s more lively um I like it better and I like it more Amenities & Options every day yes um you know I honestly wouldn’t be interested in moving to a town particularly for retirement with a population of less than 50 40 000 I mean you know you’re going to have one Diner where you’re gonna have to eat all the time that you go to a place that’s that small we’re kind of becoming hip and happiness we’ve got some great art galleries more and more people are coming with you know with their own music more music it’s lovely it’s lovely so you know we just don’t want you to think oh my gosh if I move there is it going to be like I’m in Orange County it really isn’t it you know uh it might take you 15 minutes to get down the road but it’s still better than an hour and a Social Media vs. Reality half yeah so uh anyway so how about that throw you yeah if you haven’t figured it out yet you can’t trust everything you see on social media that’s right you just can’t you just can’t these are opinions we’re chill people some people aren’t quite as chill some are very chill everyone has an opinion A lot of them stink uh you know um it’s it’s just it’s just the way of life some people honestly have opinions that others might think are erroneous a lot of people you know they have opinions with a 10 intent they’re trying to make you they’re trying to uh just wait it’s a switch for their own purposes that’s right so you should be aware keep in mind this is not like um high-tech industry here or research hospitals here or anything this is kind of just like a really nice little retirement town so if you’re worried about commuting and traveling and this that and the other hmm nobody’s getting up here you know unless it’s to go to the golf course at seven a.m but yeah they’re not going they’re not driving to work that’s right the the city of Self-Limiting Population Prescott regularly gets ranked as one of the best places to retire it is never ranked as one of the best places to look for a job yes it’s a retirement town and you can only drive so much population into a town that doesn’t have a lot of jobs to offer that’s awesome so anyway that is our thing we don’t want you to be wow now the town’s just getting too big I don’t even want to look at it that’s not so don’t let that scare you that’s just crazy it’s great here we love life here it’s all good in the hood as I like to say good in the hood okay so that is our little Spiel today on talking about overpopulation um just not a problem yeah so in in our opinion oh and by the way the people who live here they’re not having a lot of children there kind of past that age unless they would be like Saint Elizabeth and something miraculous yeah it would be a miracle yeah so for my Catholics out there you know who’s saying yeah that’s right that’s exactly right you’ll be okay all right my friends so that is it for today we just wanted to kind of talk about that a little bit because we hear about that oh that it’s getting too big it’s getting too big yeah people come in and ask us yeah and they look around like what are they talking about yes so Wind Down that is our tip hello my fellow pickle friends hello peeps this is Diana Randall bro here your friendly local Realtors here in Prescott Arizona um we are so excited to share with you a new place we just discovered and just love it I know some of you locals probably already know about and you’re like what’s wrong with you you’re behind the tons we we uh we’re always working so but we recently went to Whiskey River Tavern Whiskey River Town it’s not in the first block of Whiskey Row but it’s the second block yeah so fantastic yeah it’s I think they finally gotten this got this thing nailed so this uh this venue is as as the piccolator said it’s it’s not in the block that is traditionally thought of as whiskey roads in the next block and uh I think we may have talked about this particular building under a different name it has changed hands a number of times uh and it’s such a cool venue uh we’ve just been waiting for someone to really get it I I think the people owned it before were poised to do well and covid got them yes uh but now they’re Under New Management new Arrangement and I I it’s great it’s a great it’s like an outdoor Courtyard it kind of reminds me a little bit of New Orleans it was is where we’re from an outdoor kind of Courtyard and lots of seating um trees and you look up and there’s the sky and they’ve got a great bar and great dancing and they always have live music yes so when we went the other night it was hit squad 17. hit squad 17. so that’s fabulous mostly uh pop music yeah all decades oh we had the best time just outstanding they were outstanding everybody was dancing and the weather was perfect it was so nice and the atmosphere really good um what do you call it really good and just just a fun fun time yes and uh even if you don’t dance you can just sit and watch and enjoy the music and good beers good liquor and it’s just great yeah really good venue and kind of it does have a very New Orleans feel reminds me of Pat O’Brien yes yes now they do have a beautiful bar that’s inside and a seating area and all of that and you walk through that to get to the Courtyard the courtyard is the music venue so that’s where most of the action is but I guess on days when it’s really cold maybe or rainy or something go inside you go inside beautiful bar uh they do a great job uh the menu is mostly Pub Fair but it’s good food they take care of you they bring the food out quickly it was all really delicious yeah I think I had the poppers were really good we had a few other things so good music always have different bands that are coming to play it’s just a fun time to meet with your friends sit down enjoy nice weather and uh just uh have a have a glass of wine and listen to some good music so just to let you know we have I would say at least a half dozen look Regional local bands that have a reputation really good they have a following yeah they do so you know the one group they used to play in Vegas and you know they were competing with everybody in Vegas they moved to Prescott now their calendar is full every year they’re uh taken off and and that happens to Regional bands we we’ve got these they’re all great musicians uh and they’ve really develop a local following and people follow them from venue to venue all week long yeah and uh hit squad is one of those they they played in the uh Square recently a free concert they were so good and they worked the crowd so much oh yeah everyone was so excited and dancing yeah it was a good time so uh yeah so local bands and in particular you gotta hit Whiskey River Tavern gotta get it I love that venue they’re so nice it is his favorite venue yeah okay so we hope one day to see you at Whiskey River Tavern you can raise a toast there’s a toast to us yeah or the band or wherever you want yeah do whatever you want we don’t care that’s our latest tip well we have lots of restaurants and bars and things to do uh things about real estate things about life if you’re looking for more of that the place to go it’s pickle411.com that is our free information site whether you are a buyer seller or somewhere in between there is information for there for you that will amaze raised astound and entertain you and it is all absolutely free okay we don’t get anything for them put your credit card we don’t get anything else no there’s no PayPal no PayPal all free oh all completely we just like to share our over abundance of information that’s right so there you go you’re welcome yeah to those of you watching you’re welcome you’re welcome have a great rest of your day bye

Introduction hello hello hello hello peeps this is Diana Randall bro your friendly local Prescott area Realtors and she’s pickle Eddie I am the pickle lady she’s full of pickles sometimes sometimes all right so Sad Story this episode we have something sad to talk about it is it was a very sad story you might have heard it it made national news a very fine gentleman of one of our local prescottiians was building a beautiful cabin up in the remote section of the mountains and unfortunately a bear came and got it it’s acting Joe by bear yeah totally unprovoked it’s a very unusual thing to happen especially with a male bear not quite sure what uh set him off um but we just wanted to put the word out there that when you hear Prescott don’t think we’re you know uh up and up in the mountains we’re not full of bears we’re not full of bears our thoughts and prayers go out to him our condolences got him and his family obviously this is a tragic event and we certainly don’t want to make little of this no and uh I mean there was a bear attack in Prescott Prescott Size let me explain what in price kit means so in Prescott in this case means the within the Incorporated area of Prescott now just so you’ll know if you go to the extreme north of the Incorporated area of Prescott and you drive without traffic so you know my Californians this isn’t about traffic you know you just there’s no traffic you drive to town it will take you the like 30 minutes to get to town and then if you proceed South uh you can drive another 40 minutes or so until you hit the South Boundary so this occurred on the South Boundary the South Boundary eventually get you get to the Bradshaw Mountains this was on the other side of the Bradshaw Mountains Not in Town essentially so a very remote area it is more remote so we didn’t want you to feel like oh my gosh if I’m around the town square or there’s going to be coming out yeah um I will never say never yeah but odds are no that will never happen unless you’re way up you know if the head bears in town they’d all be at Costco I think picking up the salmon there or something that’s right absolutely making it easier we really don’t have Bears or things like that yeah in the town this is a Remote Areas very remote area uh we rarely go up there from time to time we have somebody who wants us to go look at something I’ve broken an axle you should be aware a lot of folks think I really want something remote where I can enjoy peace and nature and I don’t want to be around a lot which can be absolutely delightful and beautiful beautiful area it’s stunning but you should be aware that a lot of those roads are not paved it’s dirt roads you could get snowed in you could get the roads could get washed out because monsoons and rutted it’s very difficult to Traverse unless you’ve got it yeah your car can fall off the path like we did this is very remote people come they think I want something kind of that’s exactly what I want usually the Too Remote for Most everyone we brought up there that well this is tumorable this is way too remember so although it’s stunningly beautiful it’s kind of for uh special kind of people that that enjoy that and and can handle those kind of roads without any issues and most of those places are not winterized no so the people who are staying there for the most part are only there during the summer so these are more like camps these are yeah I mean if you get snowed in up Snowed In there it could be kind of like the shiny oh yeah yeah it’s good I mean you’re gonna be because you’re way more at the top of the mountain and that snow stays a long time I got stuck up there one time and I was told you know we’ll be there in six hours luckily after about an hour someone drove by who had a chain and pulled me back from somebody who lived up there and they’re like we got you we have all the equipment we’re used to this we’ll pull you out people are very friendly so you should keep that in mind uh Other Animals remote can be uh have some animals out there we do have mountain lions we do have Bobcats we have javelina we have Bears we have coyotes and in these remote areas these animals not the ones in town but the ones in the remote areas these are wild animals these are not they’re not being fed you know by cars that pass by and yeah in Yosemite Park or whatever right these these animals rarely see human beings so that’s right so um again it was a terrible unfortunate accident or event that had yes a neighbor a fellow neighbor heard and came out and and uh addressed it and yeah and so they have captured the bear but we just wanted to share that with you you should know if you decide to go into the more remote areas this could be something that’s you know out there and you know we do we’re kind of a little love country town and we have lots of Critters here you say you found you stay In Town on the golf course you know you don’t have to worry about being attacked while you’re teeing off it’s it’s no it’s nothing like that you know these these things go into the the media and the media tries to sell stories sometimes they can be misleading yes uh as I said before it is a fact he was in Prescott but uh the incorporate area right not downtown that is correct you won’t see any bears going around the square thank goodness thank goodness but uh anyway so we just wanted to share that with you we thought it was um kind of a terrible event that happened but we wanted to assure folks out there thinking about Prescott like wow is that really just like a remote Town yeah not really um you’d be perfectly fine here yeah now we can relate because we’re from New Orleans and that’s right A lot of times people go to New Orleans they’ll worried the alligators are gonna attack that’s right people have probably gotten attacked by alligators within the Incorporated limits of New Orleans but it can happen yeah I never say never yeah I Never Say Never Never Say Never yeah you’re gonna have some exotic dancer with an alligator or Bourbon Street you could you could yeah but she’s got a special Act [Laughter] yeah it happens I’m thinking about that but anyway so yeah keep this all in mind Prescott is Safe we just didn’t want you to feel uh this would be too weird you know it’s not your cup of tea it would be your cup of tea it’s awesome here it’s amazing you’ll love it you’ll love the the scenery everything but it’s pretty much yeah that’s another thing yeah so be aware we got the critters we got Critters so that’s our tip of the day Wags Pet Resort

We recently needed to board our new pups for a trip, but all of our usual places were full. What to do?! Turns out we found one of the best places in the Prescott area, wagging its tail right under our noses. Get the scoop in our latest video.

hi hello folks hello and hello Diane I’m Randall bro here coming to you live from Prescott Arizona we are I am the pickle lady we are your local husband and wife real estate team here ready will it enable to help you find your new home and start that next chapter and as I think we’ve indicated before Prescott Loves Dogs Prescott is a huge dog Town yep we know of what we speak we’ve got many dogs ourselves yep up to number four now okay yeah let’s not say the number because now we sound crazy well we sound crazy it’s really like two and a half because the pugs are old and they don’t do much now that’s right they’re just kind of warm and moist yeah yeah you can probably hear one of them snoring one of them but anyway so recently we had to go on a little trip and we wanted to give a shout out to a great new um Pet Resort yes and it’s called Wags Introducing Wags Wags w-a-g-s yes so I needed a place last minute everybody that I usually go to was booked and Wags was open so I Amazing Facility went out to tour it amazing amazing amazing amazing amazing great great facility down in Prescott Valley yeah we got a few pictures I’ll show you some of the pictures but they have one of the things that impressed me me and they had the big screen TV so you can see all the dogs playing you can see your dog playing they’re really good they’ve got all kinds of levels of you know regular kennels all the way up to the deluxe with the TV set for your dog and all that our two dogs stay together in one Our Experience nice kennel and they had a good time and they slowly but surely introduce them to other dogs for playtime and I think it did them a world of good to be socialized and it was just first class that’s how it really was you know as a Customized Approach business person I was so impressed with their sense of process so you walk in we had we have two dogs that were that we were boarding uh they’re puppies they’re about six months old and we tell them that okay puppy so there’s a process for puppies you know are they social well they’re a little shy there’s a process for shy you know and like introducing them slowly and it’s all systematized and they have sections for this small dogs sections for the big dogs and if you’ve got a dog that doesn’t get along with others they have a separate thing for them so you know even if you have a difficult dog they can still have a nice Pre-Assessment time there and they assess your dog yeah they insisted that we bring the dog all free of charge yes bring the dog in and we’ll spend some time with your dog and kind of learn what makes your dog tick and and so we brought the dogs over for a few hours and uh made sure that they you know weren’t going to attack other dogs and weren’t going to be so petrol they passed with flying colors I might say thank goodness which is good because we’ve had dogs in the past that did not so we were happy to hear that and just well well taken care of we got daily While Boarded reports on how their behavior was and a report card so to speak yeah so for all of our friends and clients out there who are new to the area and you’re looking for a place to safely you know put your dogs where you know they’re gonna have a good time and be happy Wags for us is number one so so clean Impressive All Around and sweet smelling yeah everyone was so nice and well informed I I was just very very impressed a great yard for them to play a great indoor yeah I mean it’s just everything is just done first class first class so if you’re looking for a place and you’ve got doggies and you’re moving here to Prescott don’t worry Wags will take care guys will take care of you a hundred percent we can’t say enough good things about them so that’s our little tale uh story about wax shake my tail if I could but I used to have a tail but I had I’m not that’s our tip for the day if you look Wind Down for tips the place to go is pickle411.com that’s our free information site whether you’re a buyer seller somewhere in between there’s something there waiting for you that will Amaze astound and form and Delight you and it’s all absolutely free that’s correct so hope to see you at Wags with your pups and I hope you’re having a great rest of your day bye bye
