hello folks hello peeps hello and hello and hello yeah it’s us this is Diana Randall bro here coming to you from Prescot Arizona we are your local Friendly helpful husband and wife real estate team um we work hard for you and we’re here to talk to you give you a good Public Service Announcement Public Service Announcement about static electricity static electricity so as you may know uh it the uh humidity is low here which is really nice it makes for uh nicer Summers makes for nicer Winters uh you know you’re not constantly sweating I I really have come to embrace low humidity in fact last year we went back to Louisiana where we’re from and she and I both were like oh my God I’m wet you it was just horrible the downside there is a down low humidity is static electric static electricity so for all of you coming here God forbid if you have Pacemaker a Pac maker no I’m kidding or any kind of any kind of Health qu you might you might recharge yourself a little more than you think no I’m kidding it doesn’t do that that’s a joke that’s a joke that’s a joke but uh because it is dry here sometimes you’ll be walking with your shoes on carpet or something you get a little static going and then you touch something and it will wake the hell out of you well if you’re not used to it so we’ve been been here now for what seven years or something and I get shock I still get shocked all the time but you get used to it you know the first time sound it makes a loud sign sometimes you even see a spark you know if it’s kind of dark you’ll see a spark and uh it takes a little getting used to at the beginning it was a little unnerving like why why is there so much stat why I never had I haven’t ever had this much static before it’s just the weather here just the dryness the low humidity it’s the perfect St it scares you more than anything else it’s not really uh painful but if you’re not expecting it it’s it’s like someone saying boo you know you seem like geez I’m shocking myself left and right I’m shocking myself left and right you’ll get used to it welcome to preset yeah it’s part of the deal it’s an Electrifying Town electrifying Town town in more ways than one yeah so when you come here and you get a little jump every now and then it’s a little extra something put your little pep in your step yeah makes you feel alive it’s good and some people here need to have a little static yeah if yeah yeah that’s true if you uh well I guess I was going to say if you’re working with a computer they used to tell you you know try to ground yourself but now most most of the time if you’re working with a mouse that doesn’t have a cord you’re okay yeah if you have like a laptop you might want to ground yourself ground yourself ground yourself be grounded you’re going to get a little Get grounded and nipped nip a little a little static you want to nip your computer we’ve never that’s never happened to us no but uh I would imagine that’s really the only the only thing I can think of that might be significant because of static electricity so when you move here you might be like wow I’m just getting shocked left and right it’s normal yeah um it’s par for course here don’t be alarmed um just count it as a little blessing when you’re tired you know wake you up a little bit wake you up a little bit and it always makes me laugh because he jumps and makes a sound and nothing makes me laugh more than when people get hurt I don’t know why it it’s always hits me harder I don’t know why I guess I’m a drier person than you are I don’t know but I always seem to get shocked and she always seems to be the one laughing yes it is it it it can be kind of funny so that’s just a very important PSA a little PSA we thought we’d share with you don’t get don’t be upset it’s an electrifying Town electrifying town it’s part of life here so if you need Buying Or Selling Home any help buying or selling a home please call us we are happy to help you happy to show you you around and you can reach us at well you can reach us on our website we have a free information site available at pickle 411.com whether you a buyer seller somewhere in between there’s something there waiting for you that will Amaze a stound electrify electrify yes good form I like how you you know tie that work that in would that clever yes you Loop that back that was good that is a loop back that was a loop back good job good job good job there it is all right cheers to you cheers to me all right have a wonderful rest of your day nice to see you bye Wind Down bye

Heat Emergency

Arizona's governor recently placed the entire state under a heat emergency. Watch this week to find out what that means and, more importantly, why this and other news items you might see, simply don't apply to Prescott.

hello hello hello hello happy to be coming to you live live recording this live Diane and Randall bro here in lovely mountain town at Prescott Arizona that’s us that’s right Mountainous Landscape you think mountain town you don’t think of Arizona but here we are yeah we are mountain town it is a lovely Mountain Town kind of like Flagstaff not quite as high as Flagstaff um but nothing like you ever thought you’d see in Arizona that’s right people think Arizona is a desert the whole state is a desert about half of it is really pretty mountainous and yes not so much no I guess they call us a high desert not cinnamon desert right right High Desert good low desert bad yeah so we’re here in the high desert we have four seasons um the governor recently declared a heat emergency in all of Arizona all of Arizona it really didn’t apply to us no I don’t know why she did that yeah at the time Heat Emergency of the heat emergency I think our high that day was 85. it was so when you hear this very alarming temperatures Etc yes it does exist down in Phoenix or down the hill as we say when you live up in Prescott I’m going down the hill down the hill which means or the Valley Phoenix they did have a heat emergency they were having quite intense temperatures yeah they broke records I guess that was for July yeah uh so they broke some records and they did they had some very treacherous um scary stuff scary stuff going on not here though it did not apply to us well it applied to us because the governor said it did but right but yeah technically not really so our temperatures may get perhaps in July in the high 90s yeah which we kind of look for because then that sets the monsoon pattern and creates the rains which we really love and want which we’re getting so right now Four Seasons so we can tolerate a few days of a little high 90 Heat so as long as it can bring on the montoons and when they come in the temperatures drop to the 70s it’s completely delightful yeah so uh when you hear these enormous High temps down in the valley it really is not us really don’t be scared by that yeah and it’s going to be piercing sometimes like you’ll be in Prescott watching the weather and you’re watching weather in Phoenix you know yes that is a good point yeah there’s something you should know we don’t have a local TV station here so all of our news that we see is coming from Phoenix so sometimes you’ll be sitting down there and listening to oh my gosh yeah yeah what’s going on did you hear that happen it’s not here it’s in Phoenix you have to kind of take it with it yeah same thing with crime same thing with crime yeah yeah my mother doesn’t seem to get that she watches the news oh I heard there was a murder right downtown like then in Phoenix keep that in mind if you’re watching the local news the quote local news it’s really Phoenix news so when they’re talking about those temperatures and things like that it’s really not Prescott proper yeah that’s right so when you hear heat emergency don’t equate it with Prescott even if the governor says it’s the whole state she’s a liar she’s a liar that’s a little strong I don’t think she thinks much about uh areas outside of Phoenix that’s a joke that’s a joke relax relax I’m not calling the governor a liar that’s the joke it’s just a joke I’m getting a little Punchy it’s been a long day it’s been a long week so anyway Local News we just don’t want you to get thrown by that and think that that applies to Prescott yeah it really doesn’t we have not been on any heat advisories heat warnings we haven’t been on any water restrictions none of that happens that stuff applies here okay so our Summer’s kind of over we’re in the month yes we’re already I’ve been walking in the morning it’s already getting a little nip in the end you can kind of see fall is on the way and here it is the end of August so it’s uh delightful yeah absolutely it’s very nice so when you hear heat emergency heat advisory water restrictions etc etc does not apply to fee uh that’s right so she’s alive you’re a liar I am a liar so anyway we just wanted to share that with you um in case you had any concerns uh don’t Transition Why California Comes to Prescott

It's no secret that Californians are bailing out of the state in droves, and a lot of them end up here in Prescott. In this episode, we explore what makes why Prescott so popular with these emigres.

hello hello and hello and hello hello again this is Diana Randall bro here coming to you from Prescott Arizona we are excited today to talk to you a little bit about why do most Californians come here yeah yeah we get a fair number of California probably the Lion’s Share of people coming in are from California because it’s close a lot of people are starting to find out about Prescott and people ask why are The Californians coming here but it’s attracting them what is attractive and they’re not from California but you’re thinking yeah you you might uh you you’ll hear some things that will sound similar to you so we thought we would take the time and document exactly what we’re hearing so what we hear a lot about and it’s kind of sad sometimes people are in the car lifelong Californians born and bred um kind of have a little catch in their throat a couple little tears maybe and they talk about you know why they feel like they have to leave they don’t want to but the cost of living there has just been become so prohibitive for them they are very concerned that they have a huge Nest Egg but predicting out and projecting out they might run out of money yeah and what we’re hearing too is it’s getting worse not better in particular taxes uh the they can never get enough taxes right uh the government is taking on things that will cost more money they’re not looking to save money so it’s you know they’re saying that’s going to get a lot worse before it gets any better and every time they think okay that’s it I mean I think this is it now I think I think they’ve taxed where they could they come up with something else new overnight and so people are really struggling to keep abreast of these cost increases especially as a retired person and it would be different if you’re getting a lot for the taxes that you’re paying but based on what they’re saying what they’re saying you know the the highways have fallen apart you know you hit potholes in the middle of the interstate uh the fire safety fire safety cup with prescribed Burns Law Enforcement has been cut way back so there are places now that uh you know don’t feel safe anymore uh so sort of the tax value proposition and and again you know particularly if you’re retiring uh you know you’ve got a short window and most people think that it’s going to get worse before it gets better and it won’t get better on our watch so to speak you reach a certain age it’s it’s it needs to be fixed and I I don’t know about you but I think if I’m spending so much on taxes I want to be living in Nirvana it should be like an amazing town and City and and no potholes and this is just the pressure Crusher Humanity yeah too so you know traffic air pollution air pollution and all these things our daughter travels a month an hour to work and an hour back and it’s it’s hard yeah it’s tough so that’s why they’re leaving okay so uh since some of them are coming here that would imply that we don’t have those things and we don’t uh but uh there are other places around that you can go to that won’t have those things and so you could improve your life um so we’re not going to bother going through saying you know our taxes are low we’ve said that elsewhere yeah I think what we should focus on is why do they pick specifically Prescott to go to as opposed to some of the other places that they’ve considered and the biggest thing is it is so close to California so if you’ve still got family and grandkids but you’re trying to protect your nest egg and you come here it’s a six hour drive to Los Angeles six hour drive to San Diego we now have daily flights from our local Regional Airport here in Prescott right into LAX 50-minute flight so as well as Denver yeah um so that is very helpful it’s it’s great to be close enough frankly that’s why we came here to be closer to our daughters um we weren’t ready to go into a big city like L.A we just we couldn’t do it um the other thing people love the close proximity I mean it’s just great for holidays easy for kids to come see you get out and get back home and vice versa the other thing is weather here yeah other places that are close uh but most of them are like a desert right it’s uh you know you feel like a camel or Idaho is a big one severe Winters yeah so we don’t have severe Summers or severe Winters here the weather here is beautiful we have four seasons arguably five seasons including the monsoon season but they’re all beautiful they’re all wonderful uh there’s no time in the year where you you will feel you absolutely have to get out uh and you’re stuck in your home every day that doesn’t happen 120 does not happen here a hundred rarely happens yes uh in the winter we don’t have piles and piles of snow that don’t melt off it’s just enough to be beautiful and enjoy and then it’s gone so weather’s huge here especially if you’re a fan of four true Seasons yeah our town has it yeah it’s beautiful here second thing yeah beautiful it’s beautiful surrounded by mountains and and different sections of Prescott you either have the rocks or there you have beautiful trees then you might have um the the Dells yeah it goes on and on yeah it’s absolutely you go into the grocery store and you’re seeing the Dills at your view as you’re driving to the grocery store yeah because that’s hard you know California we get California’s beautiful you can see it you know but there are sections of of California that are just gorgeous yeah I get that so you don’t want to go someplace ugly um we’re not ugly but it’s beautiful yeah the other thing is we’re just plain fun it’s fun everybody here is is just uh just a lot of fun uh Whiskey Row we have a lot of culture here we have a lot of theater we have a lot of music huge music scene yeah huge dancing scene and um art galleries it goes on and on and on there’s always something going on here and it’s fun stuff for people of a certain age so like we visit our kids in Los Angeles there are lots of really fun things for young people to do that we wouldn’t be interested in doing when we describe fun we’re describing the kinds of things that people our age would like to teach for the old folks a lot of retiring yeah yeah if you want to golf you want to enjoy a good life you want to go have a good meal you want to go see some good music yeah uh this is the town for you yeah you might not find a rave you know I don’t know what two young people do now I don’t know yeah it’s not that kind of thing it is fun it’s the kind of thing that retired people really enjoy it’s a good time lots of things to do don’t think oh it’s a little town there won’t be much to do there’s a lot to do here it’s a very besides all the the physical riding bikes hiking uh you know as I said golfing I mean we even have indoor pickleball courts now at the shopping center so you can play year round yeah yeah and it goes on and on and on yeah so if you look in our our Channel we’ve got you know just tons of videos about living here and you’ll see all kinds of fun things that we do and we’re working yeah my friends are retired they they they’re really hard they ride their Jeeps they go up in the Rocks yeah yeah they had the time of their lives maybe one day we will too but we’ll see but in the meantime we live vicariously our retired friends that’s right and we just love the town and and we do a lot of the music scenes so yeah anyway so that’s our little tip of why what is driving people out of you know maybe California and it’s what is attracting them to come here and obviously cost of living gasoline everything everything Insurance remarkably taxes remarkably less I mean stunningly less than some of these places you’re looking to get out of California particularly if you retiring looking to get out of California you need to come check out Prescott it’s so close and so easy to get here if you’re thinking about Idaho or Texas or Florida Halfway Around the Globe you know just drive a few hours or hop on a plane come here first come here and at least check it out because you’ll be pleasantly pleasantly surprised as we were the weekend so that’s our little tip for the day so we hope you’re Altitude

One of the things that helps make Prescott special is we're all high here - that is, we are a mile above sea level.  Prospective buyers are often curious about the positive and negative effects this situation has on the people who live here, so we thought we'd explore that a bit in this latest episode.

what up we’re up buttercup hello hello hello this is Randall and I am Diane bro coming to you from Prescott Arizona we are your local top real estate agents uh we love to work together as a team not always sometimes not always it’s not always loving it not always we always do it we always want it sometimes we get into it yeah usually we love it sometimes we aggravate each other yeah but part of the deal it’s part of the deal part of the charm oh the charm yeah is it speaking of being up today we want to talk to you about altitude so we do have people asking us questions about altitude first off altitude is what makes Prescott Prescott uh the reason why we are 20 degrees cooler than uh Phoenix is that we’re a mile high they’re not that’s right we’re just like Denver we are a mile high we’re about 5300 feet up which enables us to have this beauty four weathers for for weathers Four Seasons yeah you know um and that’s why we we’re not super hot in the summer yeah we’re not super cold it’s just like the perfect climate yeah the weather’s not that the air is nice and clean we’re watching the top clean yeah so something to keep in mind and we get this a lot some people have trouble with high altitude if you travel to Denver and you’ve had no issues you’ll probably be fine here but you should know we came from below sea level so when we came here you know we were used to oh I’m walking up the stairs holding my breath can’t do that here yeah you tend that you’ll get light-headed fast yeah you probably have never noticed this if you lived uh um at sea level your whole life like we did before but when people go upstairs they tend to hold their breath yeah or they’re doing any kind of physical yeah yeah you tend to hold your breath uh so if you do that here and you’re not used to the altitude you’ll be out of breath when you get to the top of the stairs and that’s it can be a little disconcerting uh you kind of have to teach yourself to keep breathing when you’re going upstairs uh if you’re doing breathe through it like you’re having a baby yeah breathe through it and just breathe keep breathing breathing don’t hold your breath yes and that will take care of most of the issues you have with breathlessness yeah and altitude I find and the other thing is um as you get here your lungs will acclimate yes and it’ll the breathing will it’ll get easier and easier you won’t even think about it anymore and when I first came here sometimes I would get lightheaded I’d get a little headache the other thing too with the altitude you can get dehydrated very quickly here so drink water all day long take your time breathing breathe through whatever activity you’re doing and you’ll be fine and then all of a sudden you’ll realize your lungs have kind of expanded a bit and it’s no problem yeah just um just the dry the dry weather the the dry climate kind of um tends to make you uh lose uh fluid and you don’t know it so if you’re in Louisiana and you’re hot you’re sweating you’re dripping wet you know you’re losing fluid right here you don’t you stay comfortable so you can dehydrate without realizing it the trick is if you start to get a little bit of a headache kind of a hangover headache yeah uh that’s pretty hard for us to tell sometimes yeah normally so if you uh if you feel that kind of coming on uh you drink a bottle of water suddenly you feel great again so that’s dehydration dehydration and altitude if you do have lung issues uh you you want to look for that um you know come visit and try it out see how you do and see how you do see if you’re comfortable if you’re having real issues that’s something to take into consideration yeah because the altitude is not going away here yeah it’s not going to go um it’s not going away so if you can come and it’s fine and you’re functioning good signs all good signs most people adapt pretty quickly yeah people come here that no absolutely so we just want to throw that out there that we’re pretty up here we’re very unique in the state of Arizona and it’s just beautiful here so if you want to enjoy four beautiful Seasons none that are extreme this is the place for you place the checkout we love it yeah we’re digging life here we’re digging life here I love it I love altitude you love altitude yeah he’s high on life I’m high on altitude I’m not going to live at sea level again yeah [Music] so anyway that’s our little tip of the day for those of you so a lot of people ask us about altitude and pressure and you know being able to breathe and all that and it’s really not a problem it’ll adjust and you’ll love it and um so we just wanted to pass that on to you yep and thank you for listening and we hope that you have the most amazing wonderful day absolutely right Cheers Cheers

Falling into Halloween

hello hello hello my fellow pickle peeps hello peeps we’re so excited why are we excited Randall we’re excited because Summer is dying yes it’s actually it’s gone to rest we’re actually in Fall happy fall y’all be fall y’all happy fall y’all my favorite phrase summers are not really that bad here no not not at all so much better than where we used to live but you know fall and winter I love so much more so yes every time it’s and this this summer was actually uh we had a great amazing season yeah I named the best August of my life it was nice and rainy and cool that’s a big comment the best August of your life well I’m August they’re probably the worst month of the year when you’re living in I think it was the best because that’s my birthday well yeah yeah it starts off the thing it goes downhill from that I checked but I’m not but anyway birthday treat there is that what we’re talking about I don’t know but yeah so now we’re at fall and we’re gonna pass that up completely we’re going to talk about fall so we just got back from La Quinta California yes we’ll have more to say about that in a future episode but yeah suffice to say like he took California right outside Palm Springs still super hot and we were kind of melting beautiful beautiful but can’t do the heat anymore people can’t do the heat we’re so glad to get back and fall was falling fall is falling we had a great time yeah and uh you know we’re very happy uh to be back we’ve decorated for our favorite holiday [Music] so although Halloween is not celebrated uh as it is in most of your neighborhoods probably where the kids come to your door yeah we don’t have trick-or-treating our neighborhoods here we do not uh Prescott is very unique they have everyone gather all the children in town uh go to Mount Vernon and they have special all the homes there the historical homes decorate for Halloween and all the kiddos the streets blocked off lit up the police are there they go from house to house there only on Mount Vernon it’s really interesting it’s really cool they’re very old tradition started back in the old west when they used to round the children up to sacrifice them on Mount Vernon but now they don’t now don’t even say that yeah so somebody out there is going to think that’s true yeah that is not true we are a retirement town so when you do see a child it is a little it’s a good luck yeah it’s good luck you need to try to catch them rub their head yeah rub they’re building something so you get some of that you can thank you they’ll tell you where their pot of gold is that’s right so it’s always special yeah Halloween is lovely yeah they do they uh they block off about three three blocks of Mount Vernon which is the old historical City yep kind of the centerpiece and all the old homes or at least most of them are decorated to the nines the fun people the fun people of which we have great friends yes shout out to Kathy and Harvey yep always have the best Halloween party ever the best Halloween decorations live music so if you are here for Halloween come down Mount Vernon we’ll be there at our friend’s house enjoying all the spectacular events that they hold on that day unclear what we’re going to it’s a good time that’ll be fun good times so and we hand out candy to everyone about 3 000 kids will dress straight up and down Mount Vernon not to be missed so also if you’re new to the area and maybe you don’t want to go out on Halloween itself because it all you know traffic and kids and this that and the other always just walk down there a week before it’s a beautiful walk it’s lovely and you can see all the decorations without all the crowds that’s right I’ll leave it up to you absolutely beautiful you will miss a good party and fun and music and you might see us waving at you thinking about coming to Prescott is a good time absolutely so always fall into Halloween here in Prescott not to be missed and very very unique absolutely and we thoroughly enjoy it every year another good tip if you like tips the place to go is pickle411.com there you’ll find our free information site yes all kinds of wonderful information where to get the best treats on Halloween and restaurants and just all kinds of stuff all right all free and good stuff for you all good stuff fun stuff fun stuff we try to bring it all to you people yes we do and share the wealth of knowledge that we have about life here in Prescott that’s right so we hope you appreciate it and uh if you’re here for Halloween come on by and wave pass by at our little party we’re not sure what our costumes will be at but we’ll be there having fun so cheers to you wherever you are and uh Happy fall wherever you are enjoy the Beautiful the beautiful weather that comes our way Come fall season come fall season that’s right camel can’t fall is falling can’t beat it and press it I’ll tell you that much it’s our favorite cheers and I hope to hear from you soon take care

Dry Heat

Take it from two folks who grew up in the steamy South, Prescott's version of dry heat is the bomb!  In this episode, we contrast life here with life under water (in places like New Orleans and Texas) and life in a blast furnace (in places like Phoenix).  We also discuss some helpful tips for people making the transition to a life in which you are no longer constantly dripping with sweat.

hello hello hello hey i’m so excited to be here this morning prescott pickle lady prescott arizona feeling good feeling energetic yeah i’m just i’m i’m trying to support you are you yeah because you’re throwing me off yeah anything very very good are you finished yeah okay all right you’re on all right this is diana randall bro your local husband and wife pickle team uh here in prescott arizona i am the pickle lady uh just jarred 75 jars of pickles yes i’m ready for my next wave of buyers so i can share my pickles with everybody yeah if you have not tried your pickles people listen you gotta get some good they’re good stuff americans i have to say i do enjoy them but i think you know honestly i really just have fun making them too you know i just jar anyway it’s just i’m part of the fun part of this job love to share love to share them but anyway we are here today to talk about the dry heat diversity heat and i will share this with you we are from the deep south excuse me we’re from actually we’re from uh the new orleans area which has got to be the most human place i haven’t been anywhere that is more human i agree yeah so here’s the interesting thing we used to kind of miss the humidity i mean we kind of liked it it’s like oh it feels you know good it’s soft on your skin blah blah blah then we moved here uh now we’ve totally adjusted to the dry heat so we went back to recently to visit new orleans it was kind of torturous it was like just being damp yeah the whole time the whole time you know you go into a room with air conditioning and it’s just damp and so anyway although people will come here and they’re like oh this dry heat this dry heat it actually feels pretty good it feels painful yeah really you get used to it quickly um and no one has done more of a transition than we have coming from new orleans it doesn’t get any more human than that nope and we went back and it was torturous yeah i was really surprised we missed this dry heat you missed the dry day so as long as you honestly drink drink drink when you move here you must learn to drink water all day long because you will not sweat like you will in humid areas so before you know it you might be dehydrated you don’t even know it sneaks up on you sneaks up on you uh so as long as you keep yourself hydrated um put some lotion on uh so for your you know if your skin gets a little dry yeah it’s a beautiful thing to drink beautiful thing you have good hair days pretty much every day great hair days you know you don’t have to set your hair and you walk out it falls flat or it freezes out you know what i mean uh which is what we were used to yeah you start to feel a little hung over that’s the that’s that’s the sign or you can start getting a headache that needs a little bit of a headache that sort of hangover headache it’s a special kind of special kind of pain that means you need to get some water but once you kind of get those two things in place and put your lotion on and everything you too will totally adjust to the dry heat you’ll love it the beautiful thing about dry heat and you know low humidity is that in the winter especially you’re not it’s not that bone chilling cold i mean although our temperatures may dip low because it’s a dry heat you know you you still kind of walk out with just a sweater on yeah you know and you don’t even feel it whereas in some other areas of the country when it rains or it’s damp even if it’s just in the 50s you feel a lot more get a lot more aches and pains this dry heat is a cool thing well i tell you this people talk about phoenix having dry heat you know arizona dry heat drinking drinking listen if it’s 120 degrees it doesn’t matter if it’s dry or that’s true you’re going to vaporize and he just it’s not a good thing we don’t get that high we don’t get those temps right now we’re recording this it’s in june june tends to be the hottest month of the year in brexit uh we get into the mid 90s maybe have a couple of days where it’s high 90s yeah approaching triple digits but we don’t get anywhere close to where phoenix and other areas in the valley here get people tell you oh you know it’s 120 but it’s a dry heat yeah you vaporize yeah i know that that kind of dry heat i don’t like yeah i like our brisket meat we like the press get dry yeah we’re comparing 95 degrees and prescott to 95 degrees in new orleans yeah that’s too different yeah and dry heat winds hands down take it from two people who have lived it done it lived it walked it yeah so the other good thing is you know although june is our hottest month and it heats up uh it sets the monsoon pattern yeah so shortly after those monsoons start coming in and then it really cools down it’s so pleasant you get a nice cool breeze some a few clouds take out some of the sun we had uh this past week we had a little taste of it yes i was so excited kind of rain clouds coming i’m like oh my gosh it’s coming it’s coming so the good thing here about prescott keep in mind we may be in the 90s in the daytime but every evening it drops to the 70s and we have a nice breeze in the evening and we set out yeah we’re out last night we were out over a friend’s house they had a couple of yeah a couple a couple of us over uh for dinner and we sat up and this is the hottest month of the year after dinner it was so comfortable and so nice a nice breeze it was nice so if you are looking to make a change uh if you’re coming from the northeast this is your place this is your place you’re gonna love it yeah four seasons none are too extreme yeah if you’re thinking about arizona and you’re thinking more on the phoenix area come check us out before you commit to anything absolutely you’ll probably like it better here yeah hello folks this is diane randall bro she is the pickle lady i am prescott arizona someone informed us of this new little gift so of course we immediately went out and ordered it share it with you yes you know everyone loves to share pickle paraphernalia this one really tickled us yeah here you go [Music] because everyone everyone should have in their possession a yodel pickle it’s of the utmost importance this is why they hate capitalism i mean i don’t know why hey we were the first ones to buy it we were like oh hell yes let us order this i think i was one of the original investors so we wanted to share with you our yodeling pickles i am the pickle lady here in prescott arizona that is indeed she does not yodel neither i don’t yodel no but i do enjoy a good yodeling pickle as everyone up unfortunately the pickle is green which is the same color as chris there you go maybe you can see it now yeah but uh we cracked up laughing and immediately placed an order uh for the yodeling pickle that’s who we are here you go pickles hi today we’re here to talk about some fire yes i’m sure you’ve heard about it yeah we’ve been we’ve been getting calls people want to know so uh there is a fire yes uh i don’t know if technically it’s in prescott or not prescott is a big incorporated area it includes some areas kind of over the mountain that are really very remote and very woodsy have essentially mountain cabins out there it’s pretty remote yeah it’s pretty remote i i don’t i don’t know honestly if it’s it’s part of the incorporated area or not they say it’s in the area of prescott i don’t know it’s ian prescott but on the news it makes it sound like we’re like it’s just it’s it’s engulfing pressing it proper and we just wanted to share with you that’s not necessarily so yeah um there are some great summer and you know little cabins up in the bradfords yes yes and so those are we are feeling it for people there i don’t mean to minimize that absolutely and those particular areas are are typically where the fires you know because it is heavily wooded and so it’s very easy for a spark from lightning or etcetera to kind of create a fire situation um but for those of us in more of the city part of prescription not so much to worry about we’re not on the evacuation uh unfortunately those areas that are more in the wooded remote areas yeah they are asked to evacuate um but we don’t want you to think that if you for instance if you’re in prescott lakes um we’re not under evacuation order yeah we we have a uh we have a wind down video somewhere i’ll put a link to it where we talk about how uh prescott has a lot of very different terrain so the simple answer is the southwest section of our town is very wooded it’s very mountainous it’s what you typically think of when you think of a mountain town lots of pine trees that kind of thing beautiful yeah it is beautiful it’s a beautiful area as you go south east uh the terrain starts to flatten out the trees begin to thin out and so finally you get out to areas that are bordering on prescott valley that are really essentially prairie lake uh and so the fires there are a completely different animal a lot easier to deal with you don’t have to rain uh much of the city is kind of that way and like prescott lakes is kind of that way it would be hard to set prescott lakes on fire yes and and the great thing is is that our fire department here is is very much um they’re on top of it they’re ahead of the game um they go out and do a lot of preventative fire prevention tactics so we are never in tremendous threat our fire department is very proactive very proud about fire safety and um they’ll even have some prescribed burns so that things don’t get out of hand and don’t get too crazy um we’re on top of it yeah and the fire effort comes out of the city of prescott the uh the the firefighters themselves are based here uh in our regional airport uh is where all of the fire aircraft uh take off from uh so you know we’re hearing chinook helicopters and yeah and all these these fire planes and we salute them i mean we watch them from our deck and we watch them take off and we’re like god bless them god bless all the firefighters out there absolutely uh fighting to uh keep everything at bay yes and keep everything under control without a great loss of property or you know yeah yeah absolutely so the the firefighters are working actually two fires right now there’s one south of prescott and there’s another one in the vicinity of vicinity vicinity infinity flagstaff that’s right uh close to the peaks so uh which is about a hundred miles away i mean so yes i think these guys do anything in that blank in that radius comes out of prescott so you hear the word prescott in combination with fire in arizona all the time doesn’t mean we’re always burning right and i mean these guys are top-notch uh they are on it we are ready we are prepared uh we are prepared before the event even happens and that’s what i love about being prescott uh being in prescott how progressive it is how proactive they are they’re on it so we don’t ever want anyone to fear um loss of you know that you’ll lose property or et cetera yeah yeah there are very few areas where you can’t get fire insurance most areas of prescott um it’s not required no in fact you should know that when you buy a home here i i don’t think yet i’ve run across any contract that required fire insurance or flood insurance for that matter or earthquake correct yeah cheers yeah all of these so we’re pretty um although you may hear these events uh we’re pretty safe and secure um insurance companies if they think you need fire they’ll let you know i’ve yet to run across any that required insurance flood or earthquake yes so uh when you hear these things on the news it is um it sounds pretty scary it is pretty scary it is pretty intimidating um but for the most part the city proper we’re pretty secure yeah yeah so we don’t want you to worry that uh you’ll hear a fire alarm and have to head out in the middle of the night um it doesn’t happen too often unless you’re in more of the remote areas outside in the in the more forested areas yeah that’s exciting anyway we just want to share that and for our folks who are in those areas you know of course our thoughts are always with you and we know you’re in good hands so uh our fire department’s on it yeah so we wanted to share this uh topic with you about fires because as we’re entering into fire season i know this is a big concern for a lot of people especially those coming from california and uh we just want to give you our little two cents on that so if you were looking for any additional information from the pickle lady team yeah the place to go is well howdy howdy pardon hi hi hi hi this is dianna randall bro cheers she’s pickle lady we’re in prescott arizona that’s right and we’re here to talk to you about something i never thought i’d be doing um but it’s imperative if you move and live in prescott because we are a mile high we’re about fifty four hundred feet yeah we’re about the same elevator same elevation as denver yeah we’re closer to the sun closer to the site not used to that i come from the deep south where we’re actually below sea level um so when i moved here i was like gee whiz i get sunburned so fast like within 30 minutes it’s a thing well hello you’re close to the sun less less atmosphere did you know there are areas on the earth that are so far below sea level that you cannot get sunburned oh like the dead sea is one of those i would say well i would love that so when we moved to the opposite way we’re the opposite we’re nice and high closer to god closer to the sky to the sun and uh i didn’t realize until after i was here for a little while i’m like gee all these people are such nerds they’re all in hats they all look ridiculous i am not doing that um i feel stupid however after a couple of sunburns i was like i see the wisdom i understand so we would go walking with the dogs and she where did you buy these homes these panama jack but they’re uv protected they give you protection uh they cover the back of your neck there’s all these things you learn you gotta have coverage on the back of your neck the top of your little ears because if not you get skin damage and skin cancer yeah so when we take ourselves because yeah we were hats to give us some protection this was her first shot i didn’t know she was doing this she’s always after me about sun protection and sunscreen and all that stuff well uh she went out and she bought these hats she came home and i’m like oh my god i hate that hat she makes me wear them all the time i’ll tell them see you have this little strap so that when the wind won’t blow off your hat it’s a very practical this is a walking hat yeah this is what we call our walking hat exercise hat when we’re out and about in the sunshine and trying to get some good walking in we put this hat on it gives you all overall protection the problem i have is i just always look like an idiot wearing a hat yes she looks great she doesn’t have it i don’t know you have a terrible hat i will say all right so that’s awesome so i yeah so i i went out yes and i okay yeah i tried to spend a little more money get something a little nicer so i got this wait hold on if i i’m not marginally look a little better i don’t know so you look like it you look like this is sanctuary south of france look you look like uh princess uh kelly princess kelly who’s the one who died in her her uh convertible driving around that’s grace princess grace grace grace kelly grace keller is kel get your people straight but anyway this is my central pace it’s just our last name yeah i know you got her name that’s not it’s if her name’s grace kelly you got her penalty princess kelly well that’s her last name okay well she knows my princess grace grace keller but anyway this one i love it’s got a little bow in the back yeah this the one we lost and replaced this is the one i lost and replaced i was very lucky so i wear it with my big shades so i kind of have a european flare yeah i look like i’m clearing the buyers yes you do yes all right so this is my other summer hat which i like too this is just kind of a little short a little little boater a little boater hat isn’t i love it it’s a little short a little sassy there’s a great uh hat store right on whiskey road yes we think it’s called all about hats i think it’s called all about house it’s right right near the corner right by the bistro we took our kids there that our daughter and her boyfriend and everything they put on their heads looked great it did i must have found it we have the best time just just giggling at different hats at fascinators they have caps they have this is my multicolored look so it matches everything so yeah i’m gonna have to try again it’s still not working for me it isn’t where’s your let’s put it on our winter hat yeah so oh so that’s the other thing yeah besides you need to have the windscreen yes you also as you know you lose all your body heat through your head some people have less hair than others so you really lose it faster yeah if if you wear a hat you can be naked in the snow and you won’t even feel it look at this yeah i have this cute little this is my felt bowler boulder hat isn’t it cute this is the best i can do this is we call this my governor hat your governor got that here comes the governor you need some coal so he puts his governor hat on and he has to go shovel some snow over out in the chilly willy weather now when i first moved here was more of a thing because coming from louisiana texas i used to buzz my hair used to keep my hair really really short to try to stay cool and i realized that i don’t have to do that anymore so now i have more normal normal hair a little bit longer and it keeps my head uh warm unlike unlike a lot of my friends you know they don’t really have a whole lot of hair so they all have to wear hats but it’s kind of odd he’s holding on he’s holding options he’s got some yeah still there oh when i’m not wearing a hat and you know and i move my hit the steam just off my head because it’s holding so much heat so that is something we kind of just just for fun we just thought we’d have put on our hats when you move here you will you too will embrace the hat movement even if you never i never wore a hat in my entire life until i moved to prescott so i just saw a video on uh youtube it was about how men never wear hats anymore and one of the big reasons i never really put two and two together but one of the big reasons is automobiles as you’re not in the weather as much and also when you’re in you only a lot of a lot of cars don’t have enough clearance for you’re right that’s hot so so you would knock your hat knock your hat off it’s inconvenient but it’s very convenient here in preston yeah and uh we love that little hat shop right on the square i think it’s called all about hats right did we talk about that it’s a cool shop it’s right next to our donor restaurant it’s right next to the st michael’s uh bistro a couple of doors down if you go in the door and you don’t see a lot of hats you’re in the wrong place you’ll know it you’ll know and if you’re there it’s right there on the website something to keep under your hat when you come here be prepared you too will become a hat aficionado and you’ll be wearing those hats just like we do and you’ll embrace it and you’ll get over hello what’s happening out there today here with pickle lady cheers and our pickled brigade mugs that contain non-caffeinated coffee beverages for all of our 18 year old uh our home buyers home buyers that we’re setting ourselves we’re not trying to influence and we’re trying to influence not at all yeah but what we are here to talk about is a lot of people who move here we talk about how we have four beautiful seasons and none are too extreme then we have some clients and they move in and they’re like you said it wouldn’t be cold and tonight it’s going to be 17 17 degrees well here’s the thing does it get chilly willy at night time yeah it does it does but the difference is when it’s 17 degrees it’s usually three o’clock in the morning and you’re when you’re already snuggled under your coverage 17 degrees in your bed yeah yeah and it’s not 17 degrees in the daytime no for instance last night we had a pretty cold night now we’re standing outside it’s in the 50s yeah i want to say last night it was down to you know 27 yeah it’s getting up to close to 60. yeah um look at this weather it’s like spring here yeah so don’t let these low temperatures that you see like oh my gosh it’s 15 degrees hardly ever happens yeah when you see 17 degrees in a place like idaho for example it’s gonna be like 17 degrees all day long oh yeah you know it it doesn’t work that way here no yeah it gets very chilly sometimes at nighttime yeah so don’t worry about oh i looked on the weather channel and it says it’s 17 degrees there but they’re at yeah it’s a cold place it’s a cold place it’s not it’s not it’s not it’s not it’ll be fine you have your fireplace on and you’re sleeping yeah because it’s three o’clock in the morning no one’s like a few days in the winter where it’s in the 40s yeah yeah it it it’ll it’ll be cold at night and you know it might be drizzly so it’s really cold or whatever and you do something called stay home uh but like then you know the next day the day after would be up in the 60s that’s the thing the thing about prescott winters is that they’re not relentless they relent uh you know yeah that’s a good way yeah you you get inner space with days where you can run around in your shorts without a shirt i know you know the pickle lady likes to do that and so she’ll do that you know trying to keep the family safe we got to get to keep the family safe don’t forget so don’t let that throw you because yeah it can get pretty cold at nighttime when you’re sleeping but in the daytime look at your day yeah it’s gorgeous it’s in the 60s yesterday i was out taking some buyers i was like wow i’m getting a little hot actually i’m like i’m starting to sweat yeah so don’t let a lot of variety and you know i i i’m from the south so i’m not a cold weather guy but you know i enjoy having a few days where we’ll have a little snow or you know it’s a good day to have a a cup of coffee with the pickle lady right you know sit down on the back porch under a blanket and snuggle and you know all that kind of stuff and then when you get tired of being cold then you get 60 degrees you get 60 degrees yeah and spring has sprung again but the key to remember is do we have snow occasionally is it gone by the next day pretty much usually gone by the afternoon eighty-five percent of the time it’s like no big deal folks i mean you’ll see we had snow a few days ago you might see some snow in the background a little bit of white you know usually by the afternoon the the asphalt the the the roads get warm enough that all the snow’s off the roads and you’ll be on the grass and the bacon lunch you’ll see a little snow no now he’s getting scientific with your ass you know a little snow spice a little snow it’s kind of like having a little gray on the side of here well i don’t have that they tell me i’m distinguished now because mine is minus faith i don’t know any more than i used to i look like that so yeah what we’re saying is folks don’t let those teen temperatures freak you out it is a non-event event 100 non-event where can they find you you can find me at prescottpicklelady.com or we sell prescott.com for our listeners out there people looking to sell homes in the prescott area and there’s always the prescott lady hotline you know what 713-302-1964 introduced ourselves i am diane bro by the way this is randall bro it did that at the beginning yeah maybe i don’t think so it’s hard to edit these things people it’s hard to edit these things it is with the pickle lady she’s not always working on this i’m not i’ve got a lot going on a lot a lot up there houses i’m thinking about people coming in showing that house that’s what i’m thinking as we’re recording she does it never shuts off folks it never shuts off it’s always going to work that’s not very nice there it is that’s not nice all right cheers all right cheers have a great day and we’ll see you next time bye

hello hello hello hey pete hello randall bro how are you i am good how are you governor i’m doing okay governor hat on yeah that’s right well good morning good morning i am diane breaux and this is my better half randall grove here in the beautiful square of downtown prescott yeah uh we are in august but we’re wearing our winter garb drinking coffee here yeah because we wanted to explain to some of you who think i can’t move to arizona it’s too hot yeah it’s desert yeah it’s broiling you are wrong you are wrong there are some sections as in phoenix and tempe that yeah has that terrible 120 115 yeah crazy weather but we’ve done the summer challenge man we’re dressing up for winter weather that’s right in our summer challenge in august summer challenge here in the square of recipe rescue the downtown square right by the courthouse so you can’t you can’t do this in phoenix no if you did this in phoenix or las vegas in august you’d burst into flames you’re right yeah so we decided let’s put our coats on so people who who just think arizona is too hot to move to we want to show you it’s not especially here in prescott we have four true seasons so here we are august 29th uh it’s 8 o’clock in the morning we are in full winter gear not even breaking the sweat not even breaking news it’s a lovely split 70 degrees right now yeah i made 75 sometimes early in the morning it’s about 8 a.m but it will get a little hotter later on today but it’s that much hotter yeah no it’s not yeah so here we are in in arizona and crossfit as well yeah yeah and it’s just not what you think when you think of arizona we have just the perfect perfect weather even our summers aren’t that hot nope right our winters are great our fall is even better yeah absolutely and spring is just lovely yeah so when you’re thinking i don’t want to move to arizona too hot too arid to this to that look at all the greenery around us just not we’re not not here in prescott no not at all it’s the perfect four seasons absolutely so we’ll do a winter challenge too yeah i don’t know how much how many clothes we can take off oh yeah nobody wants to see that but yeah i won’t be in a bathing suit yeah like you said nobody would want yeah yeah i work in the region my love you can reach me at 713-302-1964 or find us online at prescottpicklelady.com you’ll find a link there to our prescott relocation center lots of good information about prescott and moving here and making a new life for yourself so come to prescott don’t think about vegas and phoenix and and florida and all that too hot yeah you can’t bundle up in august there like we are absolutely come to prescott and enjoy beautiful living and great great weather all right have a good day bye

hello hey peeps how’s it going out there yeah it’s going well here yeah we are so happy to be celebrating the start of spring absolutely here in our beautiful prescott and we are at uh one of our new favorite places mark’s beer garden yeah absolutely so we’re not drinking wine we’re drinking uh a little german beer drinking a local uh hard cider made locally here prickly pear prickly pear hard cider and it is delicious yeah it’s also a strangely pink color it’s well it’s prickly pear yeah it makes sense but anyway mark was cheers to you mark was kind enough to uh let us come shoot and his beautiful beer garden out here garden beautiful it’s off of iron springs uh we highly recommend it it is fantastic good food too good eats great time for an open uh open place because it’s spring it’s bright right and he has sprung darts here and corn hole here you can come here and have a great time german beer yeah yeah you did it but anyway let’s get back to the task at hand i am diane and this is randall bro she’s the pickle lady i am your local prescott pickle lady or sometimes we’re just the press kit pickle peeps peeps it’s hard to say though yeah pickle peeps pickle eater yeah people um and we are just very excited now that spring has sprung and uh the market is warming up yep we’ve got lots and lots of people coming in um ready to start that next chapter and uh we are happy to help you yeah absolutely and so what we’re super psyched about is interest rates suddenly have gone low yeah we were told at the beginning of this year all the lenders were saying oh you know it’s going to be five five and a half six as high as six and a half by the end of the year and of course uh interest rates immediately started to drop so yeah just goes to show you nobody really knows what it is nobody knows but it’s good for you guys out there who are thinking about it get in now we just closed one at 4.125 that’s crazy that’s crazy crazy that’s crazy and the lowest it’s been in a while so if you are really thinking about making a move that’s a good time now is the time that’s good get in here get it while you can lock up those super low rates before they start creeping absolutely a lot of new listings coming on people put their homes on spring is uh home selling time that’s right it’s time to be it’s time to be here and you don’t want to miss the spring so we’ve got i’ll intersperse some uh some beautiful pictures of what spring is like here in prescott we’ve got red leaf plum trees that look like cherry blossoms from washington dc bradford pears that look like giant snowballs yeah well they may not know i thought about this but i refer to these trees as snowballs because uh in new orleans you call some of you other people may call it shaved ice or snow cones or snow cones yeah i call them snowballs so when we say the trees look like a snowball a snowball for all you others it means a shaved ice or a snow cone yeah whatever you may refer that tasty treat honestly that is the proper term if you ask me i mean that just makes sense i don’t want to think about that a snowball just sounds fun and delicious and tasty and and uh anyway anyway i digress i digress so now is the time to come for spring uh we’re already booking up we’re pretty much booked in april to take people uh buyers out give us a call we always want to always can add more we always can add more we’re going into may and uh i think it’s just the time time for you to plant where you know how is it blossom where you’re planted that’s it [Music] replanted transplant yeah well and yeah i think in this case it will be blossom where you’re transplant transplant that’s right and you should transplant you know you should try something new and you too could become a snowball if you just yeah you too could enjoy the snowball yeah or be a snowball or be a snowball transplant if we should open a snowball stand here that would be awesome that would be hot that would be a little rum yeah i had a little rum new orleans style new orleans style anyway i’m digressing again we’re gonna go uh to experiment with some shaved ice that’s right but anyway just wanted to tell you the weather is gorgeous here it’s perfect perfect house hunting weather perfect storm perfect yeah perfect interest rates perfect weather and perfect realtor pickle lady yeah you could spend time in spring in worse places with worse people than the pickled lady in spring and breast can everything we try to make it fun honestly we really do because it is a hard process and it’s a lot of homework and so we try to bring some humor in it and have fun absolutely so anyway this is randall and diane bro here pick a lady pick a lady where can they reach you my love you can call me at 713-302-1964 or reach us online at prescottpicklelady.com yes hope to see you soon thank you mark’s beer garden bye

Winter of 2018/19 was crazy all over the country, and Prescott was no exception: We got the heaviest snow we’ve seen since 1930.
Pretty much our worst case scenario… and really not bad at all!

hello hello hello hey peeps it’s diane and randall bros yes we are we are here after our two days of fun and snow days that we were locked in the house it’s been called snowmageddon snowmageddon snowpocalypse yeah and here we are yeah we had an unprecedented 28 inches of snow well i’m not unprecedented because uh the last time was in 1930 that’s right they have had that much snow before but it’s been since 1930 1930 yeah but so it was kind of nice we had a little staycation yeah we did and got to enjoy the beauty the beauty the beauty and the quietness of the snow and so here it is two days later yeah here we are i’m in a sweater it’s not that cold it’s gorgeous uh let’s see so it was wednesday so this is saturday this is saturday it was wednesday night the snow started uh snowed all day thursday yes uh yesterday it finished up like late morning uh we drove around with the dogs that the roads were closed yesterday afternoon uh the highways were were free and we came down here and checked things out a little bit and uh now one day later the sun is shining sun shining it’s melting it’s family day here in the square yeah you can see all the all the kids all the families are out with snowman galore it’s gorgeous and the point is is that some people are like oh gosh i can’t deal with that snow yes you can this is the worst case scenario this right here is 100 percent the worst of the worst the worst that’s been no big uh we were snowbound for only one day yeah uh second day roads were already cleared third day it’s completely everything is clear um the snow is white beautiful everyone’s having fun yeah and um we’re just having the time of our life it was a great staying home with the pickle lady drinking coffee all day drinking coffee you know drinking some wine stayed in my jammies which was nice nice to be in my jammies all day and now the great melt has begun the great melt has begun survived so we wanted you to see uh don’t be deterred i love that word i like that don’t be deterred by the snowfall here it’s not that big of a deal we’re from the deep south so believe me if i can you know come from louisiana and say this is no big deal it’s no big deal well i don’t know going forward i might you know i don’t know if i’m gonna tell people it was no big deal because you know i survived the snow 2019 back in the day when men were men and that’s right he did uh probably the first full driveway of shoveling snow he’s ever done i was helped out some neighbors all the neighbors were coming out and helping one another that’s right it was very nice it was a very bonding time yeah it was it was a little hot too to kind of see all these guys out there shoveling snow when you’re in 2019 men are being real man yeah dogs being real dogs too run through the snow oh my gosh the dogs had the best time running around and having a good time here comes some cute pups now coming through the square absolutely yes they’re coming to enjoy the snow as well here they come yeah just all having some good times so yeah it was nice the whole city came together we all look out for each other and uh just enjoy the beauty that uh a good 28 inches of snow can bring you and it was absolutely beautiful but the best thing is we’re up and running no big deal no loss of electricity no loss of heat so oh and the city for us the city did a remarkable job keeping the roads close open and everything yeah so we salute them salute you know what a concept you actually you pay taxes right the people who pay the taxes actually benefit yes because they didn’t pay anything they did such a great job they were out and about immediately running all night uh so you know we salute them and we thank them for their service to our city absolutely very much so this is diana randall bro here in the square of prescott yeah enjoying all the snow and all the seeing all the families and snowmen and pups and we’re gonna go have some fun we’re gonna go have some fun you can find me at diane at prescottpicklelady.com or 713-302-1964 and the website is prescottpicklady.com you can find home listings relocation guides and a whole bunch of fun stuff yes so anyway we just wanted to show you that snow is not a big deal we survived again we’re from louisiana and we had a great time it was fun all right guys have a wonderful day diana randall bro here enjoying the snow 2019. pick a lady in the snow who did pickle it yeah i’ve come far i’ve come far all right snowpocalypse have a great day bye guys

hello hello hello peeps hey peeps this is diana randall bro that’s us what’s shaking bacon yeah anything good going on today i hope something fun is going on for you yeah we’re having a lovely day we decided to talk to you today about the winters here in prescott yep which as you can see by the blue sky is very oppressive yeah and pretty scary i can’t get some surroundings here pretty scary january is the coldest coldest month we have and uh here we’re on uh martin luther king day that’s right enjoying some time out on the patio outside the prescott lakes country club which is lovely by the way and behind us you can see some of the water traps here at prescott lakes it’s beautiful beautiful beautiful country club here we really love we lit we live here and we love it and we encourage anybody coming in we’d love to take you around and show you all about prescott lakes and what it’s about but most importantly we want to talk to you about the weather because we’ve had a number of inquiries yes oh my it’s god cold i can’t do the winters i can’t actually you can and you will love them i am from the deep south you cannot get any hotter and milder than that no no and uh we love winter here it’s brisk it’s beautiful um and you can see we’re suffering we’re really suffering here we thought about being naked for this because it’s not good no not me yeah but we yeah yeah it wouldn’t be a good yeah it wouldn’t be a good thing but what’s nice about winter here is uh at nighttime it might get in the 20s or low 30s and you’re like oh that’s too much that’s true but you’re snug as a bug in your nice warm house then you wake up to this beautiful sunshine yeah and then in your bed you’re in your mind by cold you’re in your back that’s right who cares why you’re sleeping how cold it gets but when you wake up in the morning uh by 11 o’clock it’s up to the 40s by noon it’s up to the 50s and it’s just beautiful sunshine yeah uh mild mild today yeah last night was the lunar eclipse so i was out on the back porch checking out the blood moon and all that stuff and i know it’s been as late as 10 o’clock and it was still you know it was fine so yeah don’t let that don’t don’t let that scare you i’ve also had questions about the snow we might have snow three at the most four times during the winter season january is our coldest month we’ve had two little snowfalls this month but the snow plows come in we’ve got all the infrastructure and take care of that yeah you’re not snowbound this isn’t the blizzards in new york city and and buffalo most of the snows last like hours you know so it’ll snow overnight and so you wake up and it’s beautiful winter wonderland blah blah blah and then usually before dinner it’s mostly gone absolutely it gets up to in the 50s every day so so you get like the best of both worlds excuse me my hair’s flying all over the place that’s a winter gust coming through so devastating gust so you get to enjoy the beautiful white snow there’s no yellow snow here no if you know what i mean yeah it’s gone all melts away it all melts away there’s no snow drifts that sit there for weeks and weeks and weeks and become dirty with the grime and you know new year’s eve we had a crazy a crazy storm uh you know it really affected a lot of the surrounding areas we got six inches which is a lot first very unusual yes you know by by new year’s eve night you know uh the plows had done their than their work and the roads were all accessible uh the next day the big milk starts you know i think actually the next day was still uh still kind of cold but i mean by like friday you know within a few days it’s pretty much gone you know don’t let the cold don’t let the cold scare you out it’s wonderful it’s it’s really nothing to speak of plus we have hardly any humidity so this is a dry cold yeah it’s not that damp rainy where it gets into your bones and yeah absolutely not this is absolutely dry dry cold and low humidity so you hardly really need a coat so you know you get to dress like perry como and put on turtlenecks and i’m wearing this which i would never be able to wear back in texas but i sure do appreciate it here it feels great so we wanted to pan over here and you’ll see a beautiful view over here the of the uh um yeah just some views here at prescott lakes there’s the clubhouse it might be a little uh a little too bright but there’s some uh the one of the creeks here and then yeah the creek’s over there it’s beautiful yeah all this technology so we want to thank president lakes for letting us come and film today and talk about it prescott lakes is a beautiful development it’s one of the largest master plan developments here in prescott beautiful golf course right absolutely great restaurant great great social life here pickleball number one right here if you’re a pickleball person this is the development for you yeah cooking classes coming up i’m gonna be taking a creole and cajun cooking class which actually i could probably teach but i’m not gonna tell them that and uh they have corned beef and stuff later on like salted meats and stuff and cooking classes come here to prescott lakes or prescott in general don’t let the winters scare you away from making a new life here this is the best time of the year i think it’s winter i love it here it’s it’s just gorgeous so
