hello hello hello hey peeps how’s everybody doing i’m doing okay are you okay i’m good i’m doing great as well this is diane randall bro that’s us he’s randall i’m diane just in case you got confused yeah we get confused too sometimes sometimes yeah absolutely we’ve been together so long my god i know but anyway blend after a while yeah but anyway we’re here to talk to you today about what it’s like to live here in prescott when you hear these terms single level living if you’re looking for a single story versus single story so we’re going to do a quick little tutorial on that yes so if you’re coming from another area you’ll understand a little more about what that means i mean the short short of it is people don’t like stairs right so we have a lot of people coming in i don’t want stairs i want a single story house and we have single story houses here we do uh but if you go for a single story home it kind of cuts off your options we have some other options that’s right uh if you’re going to build a single-story house you pretty much need flat land completely flat yes completely flat and like which we do have we have some areas like we have but if you’re also looking for a lot of trees and views and terrain sometimes when you go with flat land you don’t get those things here and so one of the things we wanted to explain is what a stem wall construction home looks like and what uh single level living looks like that’s right so i’m going to intersperse some uh some video here where we took an example and we’ll kind of so you can understand here’s a quick example of a stemwall house looks like a single story house from the front here but as we creep around the side you can see that this house is actually on the edge of a cliff and on the other side of the cliff underneath this first level there’s a second level that is the stem wall section and the uh space down there is generally reserved for guests so here’s a shot of the whole house well we’ll explain to people coming in i understand you want a single story but single level living will also fit the bill because a lot of times if we’re built onto the side of a hill you have to build out onto a stem wall to to have that happen so you come in and you’ll be on one level it looks like a single story and you’re like well that’s exactly what i wanted and so you come in and single level living here is your master maybe another bedroom and a couple of bathrooms your kitchen your den everything’s on one floor which is great which is exactly what you’re looking for however you can go downstairs where that stem wall has been built out and there’s a whole nother level where maybe you’ll have two more bedrooms in attendance yes just for your guests so even though you come in and you want a single story don’t get thrown by single level living yeah because for a lot of people it’s what they need uh they don’t really use the square footage that they have for their guests so this way they can be downstairs you don’t even have to look at that space and it’s zones so you don’t have to you’ll have dual ac exactly you’re not doing this you’re not yeah you’re not acing and heating the whole shebang you have the option just to ac and heat that top level where you’re mostly living yeah and then when your kids come in you can throw them downstairs never see them again well you know you don’t want to make it too good because you do want them to go home but that’s right that’s right but turn off the heat turn off the gold and that might do the trick i don’t know yeah a lot of people come in there like i said i just want single story but you don’t really necessarily are going to be able to find that in the house you exactly want don’t let those stairs so they’re like i don’t want stairs yeah but those stairs would not be a part of your everyday life that’s really just your guest stairs and what’s nice too about about the single level living versus single story is a lot of times out the back of the stem wall construction homes they have decks and that’s where you really get nice views so if you’re looking for magnificent views of of trees or mountains check out some some single level living homes because you might find those fit the bill you’re right decks are great decks are awesome and a lot of times you have a deck upstairs and then you still have a lower level patio yeah which is you know one of the perks of stem wall you know construction stem wall construction so don’t necessarily rule out stairs that go downstairs because you’ll still be living on that main level but you’ll get the perks of the deck yeah and the views yeah so that’s just a little tutorial what is single level living versus a single story yeah i think we did a good job yeah i What it’s like during the coldest month of the year in Prescott.
hello hello hello peeps hey peeps this is diana randall bro that’s us what’s shaking bacon yeah anything good going on today i hope something fun is going on for you yeah we’re having a lovely day we decided to talk to you today about the winters here in prescott yep which as you can see by the blue sky is very oppressive yeah and pretty scary i can’t get some surroundings here pretty scary january is the coldest coldest month we have and uh here we’re on uh martin luther king day that’s right enjoying some time out on the patio outside the prescott lakes country club which is lovely by the way and behind us you can see some of the water traps here at prescott lakes it’s beautiful beautiful beautiful country club here we really love we lit we live here and we love it and we encourage anybody coming in we’d love to take you around and show you all about prescott lakes and what it’s about but most importantly we want to talk to you about the weather because we’ve had a number of inquiries yes oh my it’s god cold i can’t do the winters i can’t actually you can and you will love them i am from the deep south you cannot get any hotter and milder than that no no and uh we love winter here it’s brisk it’s beautiful um and you can see we’re suffering we’re really suffering here we thought about being naked for this because it’s not good no not me yeah but we yeah yeah it wouldn’t be a good yeah it wouldn’t be a good thing but what’s nice about winter here is uh at nighttime it might get in the 20s or low 30s and you’re like oh that’s too much that’s true but you’re snug as a bug in your nice warm house then you wake up to this beautiful sunshine yeah and then in your bed you’re in your mind by cold you’re in your back that’s right who cares why you’re sleeping how cold it gets but when you wake up in the morning uh by 11 o’clock it’s up to the 40s by noon it’s up to the 50s and it’s just beautiful sunshine yeah uh mild mild today yeah last night was the lunar eclipse so i was out on the back porch checking out the blood moon and all that stuff and i know it’s been as late as 10 o’clock and it was still you know it was fine so yeah don’t let that don’t don’t let that scare you i’ve also had questions about the snow we might have snow three at the most four times during the winter season january is our coldest month we’ve had two little snowfalls this month but the snow plows come in we’ve got all the infrastructure and take care of that yeah you’re not snowbound this isn’t the blizzards in new york city and and buffalo most of the snows last like hours you know so it’ll snow overnight and so you wake up and it’s beautiful winter wonderland blah blah blah and then usually before dinner it’s mostly gone absolutely it gets up to in the 50s every day so so you get like the best of both worlds excuse me my hair’s flying all over the place that’s a winter gust coming through so devastating gust so you get to enjoy the beautiful white snow there’s no yellow snow here no if you know what i mean yeah it’s gone all melts away it all melts away there’s no snow drifts that sit there for weeks and weeks and weeks and become dirty with the grime and you know new year’s eve we had a crazy a crazy storm uh you know it really affected a lot of the surrounding areas we got six inches which is a lot first very unusual yes you know by by new year’s eve night you know uh the plows had done their than their work and the roads were all accessible uh the next day the big milk starts you know i think actually the next day was still uh still kind of cold but i mean by like friday you know within a few days it’s pretty much gone you know don’t let the cold don’t let the cold scare you out it’s wonderful it’s it’s really nothing to speak of plus we have hardly any humidity so this is a dry cold yeah it’s not that damp rainy where it gets into your bones and yeah absolutely not this is absolutely dry dry cold and low humidity so you hardly really need a coat so you know you get to dress like perry como and put on turtlenecks and i’m wearing this which i would never be able to wear back in texas but i sure do appreciate it here it feels great so we wanted to pan over here and you’ll see a beautiful view over here the of the uh um yeah just some views here at prescott lakes there’s the clubhouse it might be a little uh a little too bright but there’s some uh the one of the creeks here and then yeah the creek’s over there it’s beautiful yeah all this technology so we want to thank president lakes for letting us come and film today and talk about it prescott lakes is a beautiful development it’s one of the largest master plan developments here in prescott beautiful golf course right absolutely great restaurant great great social life here pickleball number one right here if you’re a pickleball person this is the development for you yeah cooking classes coming up i’m gonna be taking a creole and cajun cooking class which actually i could probably teach but i’m not gonna tell them that and uh they have corned beef and stuff later on like salted meats and stuff and cooking classes come here to prescott lakes or prescott in general don’t let the winters scare you away from making a new life here this is the best time of the year i think it’s winter i love it here it’s it’s just gorgeous so The Palace
In this Wine Down we explore one of the country’s best historical bars… right on Whiskey Row in Downtown Prescott.
hello hello hello hey it’s diane and randall your friendly preschool pickle lady i am only i i am the only lady present yeah yeah that was the clue cheers cheers welcome to another session of our wine down we are very proud and excited to be here at the palace bar on whiskey road yup and we’re drinking this is palestine i’m not sure which one is just having a nice vlog yeah but this is a super super cool place i think you can kind of see the bar behind us behind us here yeah and the hostesses and the waiters all dressed up as western and western where it’s kind of fun because uh well first of all let’s just say we just came back from l.a with all the local hipsters and all the cool people who are walking their dogs that they don’t curb or pick up nobody no not so much but that’s a bad thing but anyway it feels so good to be back in prescott yep everybody curbs their horses everybody yeah and uh back in the clean fresh air and so we thought you know what let’s go someplace super cool and press skips yeah let’s come here it feels like a warm cozy blanket after coming away from those weirdo hipsters out in l.a yeah and this is uh i mean we love you but you know actually this bar was opened originally in 1877. and the bar is original the bar back here is original so it doesn’t get any more authentic than this this is as western as bar can get that’s right yeah and so it’s just part of the charm of prescott and why we love it so much so uh and the a1 thing too so if you if you come here everything says either the palace or it says a1 that’s right and a1 is the brewery the the their brand of beer yeah so sometimes it’s referred to as a1 palace sometimes just a1 sometimes just palace a lot of names but it’s a cool place it’s a cool place it’s right here on whiskey row it is one of the top 10 most historic historic bars in the entire united states it started in 1877 yeah and uh it burned almost burned down in 1900 and then in 1996 some people bought it and restored it back to its former original yeah and uh so a lot of in a lot of pictures over here i mean there’s like a lot of memorabilia and i’ll i’ll splice in some you know separate heads over here that’s roots and everything and so it was a kind of a central meeting place back in the day for people to come for jobs when president was just getting started and so um it’s just a great place good food and a lot of fun right in the center of great place for like grandchildren too go around and see all the the western stuff is really coming and uh just a good time like you know after you come back from urban l.a or kind of urban health so to speak yeah we had a sunday oh my god sunday so it’s monday today yesterday we drove we went to a restaurant we went to lowe’s pick up some plants and just kind of around i was like i can’t wait to get out of here yeah bumping everybody was an entire day just to run one yeah so we were so excited to come back to prescott yeah it’s like oh my gosh i can get a hundred things done here in one day all my errands are closed by no traffic yeah uh and we flew back we didn’t drive a six-hour drive we flew back and uh on the lax side you’re in terminal seven which is the best terminal it’s it’s not very very crowded right and uh flying in the press get easy shot after you get here it was really nice to get back not it’s good i mean that’s what i love about prescott is that you know you can live a clean simple peaceful life but we’re still close enough to go in when we need to get a fix and go do something really cool and be edgy and uh go see our daughters in l.a not really okay you’re edgier than i am well i would like to think i am this his preschool lady is pretty pretty i try to keep my finger on current events yeah try to keep current i should say that’s right i should keep your finger on the edge i try to keep current yeah but anyway so it was it was good to come back though and have a good lunch here at the palace we highly recommend it to anybody to come and also i think um here’s my paul newman there was a movie filmed here oh my god steve mcqueen people get those confused because they both have blue eyes and they’re both dead that wasn’t cool at all sorry steve mcqueen sorry guys sorry but anyway it’s just a very charming place here just another thing of uh that we love about preschool so we thought we’d share it with you so anyway that is all for today thank you wine down here’s to a good start of this year and um if you need to find us you can find us at prescottpicklady.com or what’s your number [Music] nine six 713-302-1964 we’re happy to help you out absolutely all right come to prescott come see western town we’ll see you soon

hello hello hello hey beeps welcome to our weekly wine down weekly wine down the first one of 2019. that’s right very excited yeah oh one went out in 2019 but we recorded it before well that’s true but this is truly 29 yeah this is being recorded and released all in 2019. that’s right the first week of january yep versus the second week i don’t know but anyway right behind us if you look over my shoulder yeah right there that’s called the boot yeah i’ll get a close-up of it later yeah so we’re here on whiskey row yeah and every year and new year’s on new year’s eve the boot yeah starts to drop yeah it’s kind of like our answer to the ball drop exactly so it goes way up to the top of the thing and then about they have two boot droppings for some of the old stairs who were kind of tired and like i don’t want to hang out till midnight the boot drops which actually i’ve come to appreciate believe it or not yeah that’s right you do get tired and you’re ready to go home you do and then at 12 the other shoe drops the other shoe drops time for the other shoe actually it’s the same shoe it is the same shoe they just when no one’s looking they they raise it up again that’s right and they drop it again so that’s the boot behind us yeah so 10 o’clock coincides yeah yeah 10 o’clock coincides with the drop in times square correct for people like to be official i guess that way that’s right uh and then 12 o’clock is 12 o’clock you get to celebrate new year’s eve twice here 10 o’clock that’s right or midnight yeah your choice and they do fireworks they do fireworks like i think they do fireworks at 9 10 and 12. not here yeah they were at the casino yeah the casino and then right yeah boy it’s a lot of fun people come out yeah people come out like whiskey row welcome in the new year and they all get out and celebrate it’s a good family time as well for the 10 o’clock boot drop so the little kids are here and families and it’s just a lot of fun yeah so something we wanted to point out to you about uh another special feature here comes the trunk sorry there’s our truck industry at work anyway something else we wanted to talk about that’s fun here in prescott uh and kind of a big tradition here on new year’s eve it’s just really really cute um but more importantly i’m going to loop this now as they say in the business show business we’re going to loop this around to make a tie in with your new year’s resolution that’s right and since we’re in a brand new year 2019 some of you we’re getting a lot of contacts and people are calling saying not quite ready yet not sure do i want to really move the answer to that question is yes yes yeah yeah pretty much you do and 2019’s a really good time to do it it is interest rates resolution to make this happen this year you need to resolve to make your resolution happen yeah that’s right it’s easy to do anyway the reason why we say that is interest rates are going up which is kind of good i mean you know that’s good for i mean it’s not natural to have a three percent interest rate on the home that means the economy is stayed yeah the economy’s not really doing anything money’s not worth anything money isn’t working pay any money for money you’re right you’re right yeah speaking of economics you can economic economists economists yeah not really an excuse i couldn’t get the word out right but anyway um so anyway interest rates are inching up of course we’re close to five percent now yeah it’s gonna possibly in the next year go up to six yeah so if you’re thinking about it and you’re wishy-washy and yeah this is the time decide make your new year’s resolution yeah it’s a time of cleansing it’s a time of purification when the new year starts yeah it’s good time to buy too that’s right start a new life start a new life make it happen we are here to help you we’d love to help you come here and help you see yeah this is a good decision this is a wise decision we need a do-over we need to get in there before the rates go up yeah and have a wonderful new life it’s a great place for a new life it is a great place for a new life as well as you know for your new year that’s it so new life for a new year new life no better resolution in the world be resolute in making your resolutions that’s right that’s right we could do this all day long yeah i think so but anyway so we wanted to come and show you the cool boot yup so you could get an idea of that and one of our little local traditions here and also seriously start thinking about it get your ducks in a row and make it happen for you in this new year we’d love to help you where diane and randall bro and she’s the pickle lady i am the pickle lady he’s the pickle peep we’re pickle peeps together peeps together so yeah give us a call at 713-302-1964 or you can find us at prescottpicklelady.com that’s right we’d love to help you make your new year’s resolution come true take care happy new year bye

Arizona’s Christmas City: The Holidays in Prescott are ridiculously charming – from the Square lights to the Christmas Parade to Acker Night… Prescott is “Arizona’s Christmas City,” and people come from far and wide to share it with us.
hello hello hello hey this is diane and randall bro the preschool pickle lady the prescott people i should say yeah the press could pickle people that’s correct the press could pick picked a pack of pickled peppers yeah something like that uh anyway we are the spouses who sell houses here we are at christmas central we are grandpa i’m sorry my voice is changing i’m uh going through puberty i think again i think okay we’re at uh ground zero of the uh arizona’s christmas city right outside the courthouse there’s the courthouse kinda and uh the lights are on the lights are on and we just wanted to talk about this if you want to kind of have a small town feeling come here yeah absolutely it’s amazing all the lights are lit there’s over a hundred thousand lights uh i think it cost them ninety thousand dollars for the whole season so it’s a it’s a little under a buck a light correct it’s just a lovely lovely small town feeling uh you want to feel good about life again come here you want to feel like huckleberry finn come here uh well yeah like simple life okay i don’t know that he lived in a city though well you know a little more rural than we’re looking for but i mean there’s no raft here look at this it’s just gorgeous yeah kind of get look around now we can’t we can’t film too late otherwise you won’t be able to see us uh but you can kind of get a sense of the light and all the lights here and the screen pretty what are we looking at they’re pretty i don’t know what that is that that thing whatever pavilion that little pavilion it’s very nice anyway and it is really beautiful very very charming and it just makes you feel like um life is good again life is the way it should be life is simple so you know what you guys come here and visit us and escape all the craziness that is yeah and come see what uh small town living is all about and let me tell you it’s awesome it’s great and it’s beautiful and um there’s no other way to do christmas that correct no regrets no regrets so let me show you a little bit more yeah [Music] come visit us we’d love for you to see what we’re all about and we’d love to show you what we’re all about absolutely you want to find us look at us uh look ups look look somewhere what is it look at that look us up look us up yeah what’s the number 713-302-1964 love to help you we’d love to help you out we’d love to show you what it’s all about to take a step back and enjoy a peaceful quiet living instead of that crazy big city life that maybe some of you were living uh anyway we’re here to serve you from christmas central christmas central right here and uh you can come see why prescott is called arizona’s christmas city it’s awesome all right have a good night talk to you guys later bye you

hello hello hello again this is diane and randall bro i’m your friendly prescott pickle lady yes she is we are the spouses who sell houses yeah and we’re in one of our favorite places it’s located in the old capitol market buildings right come in here right off the square come downstairs we are in the superstition meadery it’s amazing it’s amazing they have their own brewery here they make their own need it is to die for so today we decided we’re going a little field trip and show you guys what it’s all about so if you’re here but before we get into it uh a little test let’s see if you were listening are you ready you ready okay so uh first of all what’s what is meat it is uh a brew made with honey it’s a wine it’s a wine made with honey correct and it’s because it’s made with honey our mead’s always sweet yes no no no it depends on how much you ferment them the more you ferment them the stronger and the drier they will be i don’t really care i don’t need to be educated i just like the effect that’s all i’m looking for i’m looking for the effect yeah the effect is the most important thing today we decided to sample the flight of all 12. yeah all 12. we could make up our minds so this is this is what they brought us it is uh a flight of need a a tour de force and so uh this is delicious is it is that very good yeah so they arrange it so that it’s in the order the same order that’s on the menu and literally each item on the menu is represented here is a super super super cool place to come really cool it’s nice and quiet and especially in the summertime it’s delightfully cool down here so you can come down it’s it’s nice and dark and cozy in the winter you can come down have your flight of 12 needs and enjoy yourself they also have some foods as well but if you look behind me you can see all of the meat look at that see all those pretty glass it’s just car boys anyway so we want to give you a little flavor a little local flavor of some cool places to come um especially after you move here we’re gonna start showing you some really nice places and some some just interesting places you can learn about and come come visit and bring your friends and and your they are the friends when they decide hey presque is the place for us to move so we gotta get everybody yourself drinking me they might join you see drinking some meat okay so that’s just a little snippet of what you want to talk about today yeah we also want to talk about something that we’re finding here in prescott there is a glut of amazing beautiful gorgeous homes um in the 700 000 range yeah people ask us what the what the market is like like is it is it a buyer’s market it’s a seller’s market it really depends on what market you’re talking about different areas of town are different and in particular different price points right are different people have been talking about this being such a seller’s market such a seller’s market that’s not so in many price points and one in particular right now is the 700s yes i want to make myself clear there aren’t just homes here in the 700 000. we have homes at all prices all price ranges but for right now for you lucky buyers that are looking to come and you kind of want you would be amazed at what a 700 000 home looks like sure versus in other areas yeah we are talking whatever reason because the 800s it’s not true the 900s that’s not true yep the 600s it’s not true for whatever reason we have a glut of seven hundreds at this point and they are gorgeous custom luxury homes yeah that’s a luxury home that are sitting here right for the picking and so those sellers are not getting a whole lot of buyers coming through it’s a great time to go it’s a great time if you’re thinking about coming here and you think uh you know i think i want to get something a little more luxurious this is my last home i want something really nice this is the time for you you can get in here and grab some beautiful beautiful places at really nice prices um luxury like you would not believe you wouldn’t find it anywhere else if you’re not in the 700s that’s cool we have plenty others we got plenty of others but if you just so happen to be in that range now is a great time to talk to us because uh we can find you some really good deals oh yeah and to be honest i mean a 700 000 home here is equivalent to like a 1.2 inches yeah 1.2 1.5 they’re even better actually so anyway put a little bee in your box that’s right if you’re thinking about that and thinking hey i kind of want to make a move i want to go someplace better i’m looking for a luxury home though we got them here they’re waiting for you they’re just waiting for the right owner the new the new buyer to come in and snatch it up and make it a beautiful home for hello hello hello hey peeps how’s everybody doing good i’m doing good you’re good all right yes happy fall y’all happy fall we’re just recovering we are recovering this is diane and randall bro hey how are you i’m the prescott pickle lady yes i am are you no i am i know not you me anyway we’re a little slow in the up we’re a little slow in the uptake if you notice this is our weekly wind down however we are in the right on the grounds of the courthouse so we didn’t think it would be a good idea to have open containers so no wine today yeah so but we’re gonna be drying out a little bit we’ll be drying up we are drying out because we just got back from vegas had a fabulous time all of our texas friends came up we hadn’t seen them in a while and we all met and vegas had the time of our lives [Music] i hope i got the right one anyway what we wanted to talk about today was how centrally located prescott is yep and what amazing destinations are really close by yep and vegas of course is one of them vegas baby yeah we saw a show there well we didn’t see it i saw an advertisement for the rat pack yep very exciting well obviously they’re not not the real not the real rapper they’re dead yeah are any of them alive i think i don’t think so maybe that fourth guy that nobody can remember i don’t know i don’t know about him who’s it steven ownership they’re all gone but yeah they’re all gone but they have people who imitate them evidently very well and uh we’re so we’re planning a trip back just to go see them go pop over see the show it’s an easy one-day trip have a nice dinner go see a show and head on back home so what we wanted to talk about is if you move to prescott how many amazing destinations there are immediately around us los angeles six hour drive six hour drive one hour flight yeah at the local prescott regional airport that’s true so you can hop on hop off and you’re already in l.a six hours also to san diego six hours to san diego it’s been a couple days in san diego correct yeah uh i think we’re like eight hours from albuquerque yeah so if you want to head down there and see all the great balloons and all that yeah get some turquoise jewelry yeah that’s what’s big down there i don’t know yeah we haven’t done it yeah that’s a day trader what’s uh you could do roswell i guess that’s a roswell if you’re into aliens go see the aliens over in roswell you can do that yeah super cool and then when you get a lot closer to home there’s like we’re two hours from uh phoenix which i’m down to phoenix all the time yeah so many cool things that’s an easy thing go to scottsdale great great party during the summer no don’t go during the summer but great golfing in scottsdale great art galleries amazing shopping that’s an easy day trip we’re 40 minutes from jerome which is a charming charming charming great place for a burger yeah uh mining town and old mining town but now it’s like a tourist destination of course there’s sedona or what an hour from sedona if that which you know go get re-energized go to the vortex get some energy in get some new crystals yeah get it all together get it all together feel good and where else where else are we close to oh denver one hour flight now from december you go to denver yeah if you’re into skiing whatever yeah you go to flag yeah or go to flags like two hours or something like that yeah so what are some other cool places yeah well you covered flag flagstaff you got that at grand canyon oh grand canyon three hours three hours to the grand canyon yeah have the time of your life or just stay here yeah that’s what a lot of people understand too prescott is a destination in and of itself it’s true and uh we get people from all these places coming to see us so absolutely and as you can see here we are in the town square look at fall yeah fall has fallen here’s us oh lord there we still are okay okay but anyway yeah fall is gorgeous here it’s beautiful the weather’s crisp the temperatures are just right no sweating and beautiful beautiful trees to see red trees green tree and well not green so much yellow i mean it’s stunning this is our town square yeah this is also a destination getting ready to gear up for the holiday season so every one of these trees on this this square will be covered in lights that is why we are arizona’s christmas city that’s right another thing to come see when you live here we are arizona’s christmas city we have over 90 000 worth of lights in these trees so i think that’s it what else do we have to cover i think that’s it that’s it so again we apologize for not having our wine we are going to go have some yeah we’ll do that real real soon but you know we’re right outside the courthouse so they wouldn’t have to take as far to take us to jails we want to keep it official we got to keep it official we don’t want to we don’t always break the rules just something just sometimes you most of the time me most of the time yeah hello hello hello again this is diane bro and randall bro we’re the spouses that sell houses and you’re the pickle lady i’m also the pickle lady if you call me up and we get together and we go look at some houses or you come to one of our open houses you’ll find out why on the pickle lady i make delicious pickles cajun style yes she does and i hand them out to people and then i get a lot of refill requests yeah she gets hit up quite a bit they’re delicious and i’m happy to go yes yes well we are here and i’m wearing green to match the beautiful greens that’s right prescott lakes here someone’s going to chip on you yeah i hope not yeah that’s all i need yeah it’s okay i need to make a pickle lady got chipped on um but anyway if you are a serious golfer and you’re looking for a fabulous place to retire we have so many amazing golf courses here prescott lakes is one of them this is prescott right behind us let the drone go around a little bit there there you go prescott lakes is amazing for golfing there also is capital canyon club that’s right beautiful beautiful located in talking rocks got it i know in the uh public courts right around the corner there’s antelope hills there’s a free public course but there’s so many ridge i’ll keep going i’ll keep naming anything else of course don’t start naming them back from home yeah they won’t i don’t want to do that yeah that’s right but anyway beautiful beautiful courses here so far golf is this great place to be absolutely anything else you’d like to say because you’re talking over me but that’s cool now he’s the ladies man now he’s going to be quiet camera yeah there you go i’ll get out go ahead pick a lady it’s all right yeah i’ll come back again i just need to be quiet right well let me quit quieter let me finish my thought yeah okay all right good go ahead are you sure i i don’t know i can’t promise anything okay you turn my coffin anyway this is the place for you come retire have a fabulous time enjoy all the beautiful golf courses we have here it’s just uh heaven on earth and you’ll see everybody riding their little golf carts around the neighborhoods and loving life um don’t have to be a golfer to write a card you don’t have to be their cards everywhere people your cards are cool the cards are cool i see you know grandma’s driving grandchildren i see people driving their pups just to kind of take a quick ride it’s it’s awesome so if you’re ready to retire and you love to golf and you want to have some amazing experiences come to arizona we have especially prescott we have the neighborhoods that’ll plug you right in and you’ll have a great time and you know what you worked hard you worked hard for this retirement get out here hit the green play some golf have fun yeah absolutely yeah all right we’ll talk about some other things next time too the other kind of if you’re not a big golfer there’s plenty of other things to do oh yeah we get a lot of requests for golf so we thought we’d do a little uh a little segment yeah where we focus on that and show you at least some of the beautiful areas around here where people play so i’m looking a little evil these branches are making a reflection it’s bringing out the true you know it’s not you know no maybe not that’s true that’s not true but anyway come on out bring your clubs have a great time nice to see you this is diane and randall bro weekly wine down that’s right you can reach us at 713-302-1964 give us a call let’s make your dream come true bye

hello hello hello hey peeps new technology today yes and a new venue place to film isn’t it gorgeous yeah we have a drone that’s flying around us yeah very high tech so a fedex truck fedex truck dropping by that yeah cheers to fedex guy yeah actually just have the camera tied to a stick and uh you know we’re kind of going for a pretty cutting edge here yeah cutting edge or cutting edge we’re getting yeah fancier and fancier as time goes speaking of getting fancier somebody nominated as a rising star here in the prescott area our very own pickle lady that’s right you know what they say stars are just full of gas am i right i think that would be more appropriate it was one of the dogs maybe yeah but anyway the rising stars yeah yes i have to say i was pretty tickled um that the press get what is it prescott area nobody knows what it stands for yeah prescott area association of realtors see i got it there you go i didn’t even know they had this category i didn’t know anything about it i i heard from a couple of people today and i i really have to say i was tickled i didn’t know i didn’t even know what it was about so all of a sudden the phone started ringing off the hook you’ve been nominated i didn’t know but i’m tickled pink and uh the last award or anything i was i won or was nominated for was uh you know i i was vice president class president of my high school and and most christians most christian freshman insider she played mary remember she played mary most christian right there so it’s been a very long time that i’ve had anything i got to watch this camera’s going too high it’s going to see my where that’s right shaved my head by accident that’s right but anyway i was tickled and i do appreciate it and um thank you so much you know just for even thinking about me or nominating me it does kind of tickle me you have the ability to vote get out there and vote for you no don’t i hate that yeah i i’m campaigning on her behalf no i don’t like that but she does not approve this message i don’t approve this message okay i’m just saying i was tickled they have such a thing that’s all yeah it makes me laugh right there you go right there thank you all right here we go what are we talking about today oh we’re talking about um this is something cool certain areas out there are becoming like little baby many californians many californians many californians if you look at the neighborhood granite dells yeah we just had some californians move in yep and they go around to meet their neighbors and their neighbors are from you know riverside rancho cucamonga san diego it’s like little california over there little california we did some research and it turns out like in that particular area it’s like 90 percent or something most of the people are transplanted californians california so we’re going to call it little california look now well yeah rancho prescott tonia yeah something like that yeah yeah i think that’d be cool that’d be cool but uh so yeah if you’re coming here from out of state you you’ll be surprised how many people you’re gonna meet who are actually not from here they’re from entirely different areas california we’re from texas new orleans california is very popular and a lot of the people who are from california you know they’re afraid you know how do these people like me and our reply is you know they have maybe three people in your neighborhood who aren’t from california so you know they’re old and they’ll probably die oh my gosh that’s okay they were i didn’t say that say she’s most christian i am most persuasive me not so much yeah i didn’t say that but yeah you will find plenty of your peers yeah if you come here and you’ll love it yeah and you love it the little clusters are starting to form which is really cool you have like you know one one person one family will come in and they start recruiting their friends to come in and it becomes like a little their little enclave yeah you know you can be feel like you’re back home amongst friends and family yeah unless you want to escape friends and family yeah which uh well i don’t tell them about the airport because then um right don’t tell them about the airport but it’s all what you need yeah who you want to reinvent yourself that’s right right that’s right does that make sense californians california rancho prescottonia rancho hello hello hello and welcome again to another weekly wind down i’m randall this is stella and i’m diane bro pick a lady of prescott and we’re also the spouses who sell houses back for another weekly wind down that’s right happy to be here again absolutely and what’s our topic for this for today coffee um coffee it’s a phenomenon it is a phenomenon we see it a lot in this business we really do yeah it’s something that makes me cry a lot yeah a lot yeah you see people fall in love with a home they’re all set to go and something inside of them just um they can’t pull the trigger just can’t pull the trigger and we’re here to tell you brothers and sisters fool the trigger trigger be brave yeah well the first thing you need to realize is what’s happening yes so like we had a a couple that they they came to prescott they’ve been a few times third trip yep uh he loves this house he loves house a she loves house b so in the end after much deliberation they decide go home which yeah without making an offer on either one which essentially um by not making a decision you are making you have made a decision yeah and and it’s not about oh i hate her house you know he has my house i hate her it’s not about indecision it’s really about fear right uh fear of the unknown fear about moving forward and the mind plays tricks on you i don’t know i decided i don’t like the fireplace or i can’t live with the doorknob it’s called a little bit of sabotaging yeah yeah like a cognitive dissonance thing right i don’t want to admit to myself that i’m afraid to move forward so i’m going to find something wrong with every house that i look at right so i can tell people oh i just know i could do it because of this yeah so this couple came in third trip in uh fell in love with two different houses and walked away with either so what’s going to happen somebody else is going to buy your dream home that’s right and live in your dream your beautiful life that you thought you were going to have in preschool that’s right in the house that you blocked somebody else is now going to enjoy themselves in your house and that’s a no-go here’s a little trick of the trade to somebody agents might not know this either okay um if you have a situation like that and people love two homes there’s a multiple offer form oh yeah that’s right so go ahead put an offer in on both there’s a perform see what kind of deal you can get whichever one wins guess what you made a decision but you move forward take baby steps at a time exactly exactly and so it’s kind of a heartbreaker it is when people do that yeah they do it to themselves yeah because we want you to be here in prescott yeah we want you to love it here as much as we do we were in your shoes yeah we know yeah that’s once we speak correct yeah we came from texas where our kids grew up uh we had a wonderful group of friends yeah um very close to to them and we just decided it was time for a change we were scared to death scared to death we didn’t know anybody here not one i was about to say zero but it’s really not one soul not one soul yeah and i don’t know we just committed and we said it’s time to make a change yeah and part of it i think was recognizing that we were afraid right you know i would look at you you would look at me and clearly were terrified but if you know it’s fear then you can deal with it as fear you know don’t do a jedi mind trick to yourself and you know oh it’s about the doorknob it’s nothing to do with the door now yeah and being courageous and taking the next step it’s it being brave is not about not being afraid it’s about being afraid but still moving forward yes um you know courageous people feel those feelings too and uh you can’t let that hold you back you can’t let that dictate your life that’s right life is short yeah um we don’t know what’s around the corner yeah but i tell you we moved here it was hard it was hard some tears yeah um but we have met and the most wonderful people here it’s paradise it is paradise here i did not know this whole type of geography or topography i had to learn how to drive up hill yeah it was difficult for me so it’s been fun and it’s also been very bonding yeah when uh especially if you’re empty nesters like we are it’s very bonding to jump into something new and you really just have to cling to each other well we didn’t clean so much because we’re not clingers we’re fairly independent yeah but uh you know to solve the problems together without our usual backup or fallbacks or anything else uh so it’s good it’s good yeah and it’s something you do for yourself yes yeah we’ve spent a lot of our lives in houston yeah and a lot of a lot of our friends worked in the oil business and you know one day they tell you oh guess what we’re gonna move you to bangladesh you know it’s never a good place it’s always some god-forsaken place that happens to have oil you know these families they’ll say oh you know it’s an adventure and they do it because i have to right but it when it comes time and they’ve retired from those oil companies the idea that i could now move from bangladesh to some place like prescott it’s a it’s a proactive thing you know i’m taking action and somehow that makes it scarier for some people because they’re doing it to themselves instead of obeying orders right we’ve been there we had a two-day drive across the country with three animals and two cars back to the gills yeah it was it was music it was not easy but so well worth it for this next chapter in our life yeah so for all of you waffling do i want to move should i just stay put do it do it the science of regret tells us that people on their death bed regret things that they haven’t done somebody somebody on their deathbed what are you regretting well it’s true this is true they’ve done these studies and people don’t say you know i regret having taken action you know and it didn’t pan out what they regret is never having taken that action at all it’s like if i had done x then my life would have been so much different and i really wonder what that would have been like instead of just following the bouncing bomb yeah 32 years ago 32 years ago just joking just joking very funny that’s just a joke but anyway be brave be bold that’s right for instance randall grow yeah don’t be too bold don’t be too bold yeah don’t be reckless once you do a little buzz yeah i’ve been cutting my own hair for well over ten years yeah i hate getting my hair cut you gotta listen to the ladies cat stories you know i i just my hair is not that complicated i do with buzz cut so he has a buzz cut and uh then yeah mr bros yeah well well before i do that just in my own defense it was late i had a scotch and i didn’t i picked up the razor i mean i i the razor has a guard that keeps you from getting too close so i just you know before i go to bed sometimes it’s a tip you know and uh so i did that and uh didn’t realize there was no guard on it so show us the after effects yeah get in the light get in the light that is not a bald spot that’s just uh yeah that’s just a major hair cut it’s a it’s a town sure yeah it’s a timeshare i’m not sure if they say the monks have them yeah we have it here we’re hoping it grows in soon so we’re not telling you do anything that crazy don’t be that brave take it easy on yourself if you do send pictures it’s only fair it is pretty funny yeah he’s like i can’t believe i did this like well you are i couldn’t believe it it was not even a whole second i just immediately knew what service our air service air service is back on here in prescott with a vengeance with a huge venture yes very very exciting times no more do we have those yucky old prop planes yeah no no no toilet with no toilet yeah yeah now we have a 50 seater with a yes through united that’s right and united is now going to land here at prescott regional airport and they’re going to have daily flights everything which means every day every day to lax and daily flights to denver as well no flights though i take that back on saturday to lax but six days of the week you can fly out to lax seven days you can go denver that’s right the other really cool thing is you can also fly to those cities and get your connecting flight to some of the other major destinations and avoid having to go down to phoenix yeah so you don’t have to drive down you’re going to do the shuttle exactly you just get on the plane and you fly to lax or denver and from there you can get pretty much anywhere yeah so this is great news for all of our californian friends who are moving here hey you can get home see friends and family in no time flat no time flight and we have a real airport you don’t have to buy your ticket and then buy another ticket you just get on the united app united.com united.com and select prescott as your originating airport and wherever you want to go works just like any other airport first flight is going out august 29th which is tomorrow which is tomorrow which i can’t believe where is this celebration where’s this month gone yeah and uh first flight’s going out i already sold up all right so things are booming uh and there’s a good reason good reason they’re sold out they’re actually subsidized by the government so they are exceptionally cheap yes round trip tickets to lax are going for fifty dollars each way might be a little higher depending on how much time you give it you know if you try to look the day before you’re not going to get that greater rate if you lose it yeah i worked within like a week and it was 136 136 round trips um you can’t drive there for that no you can’t yeah yeah and we’ve driven it many times yeah not a good idea yeah not fun okay to rock purestar fuel tank yes we did good times yeah that was good the planes will not hit a rock yeah yeah good times that was not going to happen the worst driving truck that was horrible yeah triple a not so much yeah triple h we won’t help you when you’re leaking yeah that’s what they said we actually dialed 9-1-1 and they told us we can’t help you yeah that’s true she did hello 9-1-1 what is your emergency i’m stranded i’m sorry we can’t help you i guess that’s all she says out there that’s it she had nothing to offer me that’s an aside yeah that’s that wall in the business yeah and aside yeah but yeah that’s true if you get a pierced uh fuel tank and you’re leaking gas everywhere basically nobody will come nobody will help you you kind of have to pay a mega price and kind of bribe something like having to play yes you know which is what we did and they were kind enough to yeah but that’s not going to happen to you in the plane yes see i like how this is circling circle back circling back to the airport airport you don’t have to worry about any of that you show up the other good thing is if you go to prescott regional airport you can park your car for free yeah up to 10 days up to 10 days you can actually park it there longer if you just tell them right let them know just let them know it’s going to be here a couple of weeks they just don’t want to abandon cars right so you can go there park hop on your little commuter flight catch your connecting flight or if you’re just going to la or denver yeah give you that yeah you’re done but and you can catch me great burgers there at oh yeah yeah great burgers at the airport suzie sky harbors i yeah but it’s good cooking there delicious burgers yeah even better breakfast oh cheap they will be getting a new terminal too yeah that’s going to be a while they’re going to build a new term we’re going to be building a new terminal and hopefully over time as these flights uh get popular we’re going to expand our runway so we can have even more flights to other destinations yeah so press kit is moving in the shape yes we are yes we are so for those of you looking to move here from places like i don’t know southern california that’s right that that’s never happened before yeah you get just a quick cop you go back and see all your family and friends right uh northern california you can catch uh uh good god thank god we made it to friday i hope you guys you from you guys probably feel the same way it’s been a rough a rough day definitely need a nice friday wind down exactly anyway welcome to friends realtor are you doing it again no i don’t want i don’t like any of this okay yeah no i’m serious hi everybody and welcome to this week’s weekly window friday going down what’s that always friday well today is friday and it’s been one down people heck of yeah very busy very tired so we deserve a glass of wine cheers to everyone out there take time out um this week we wanted to talk briefly about something that’s so important and i know my fellow realtors can definitely relate and potential customers coming in a lot of people want to come to prescott see what it’s all about i love it i love it i just gotta take a quick weekend look at some of those just to see what it’s like right have some fun my word yeah yes it never works out that way yeah no because what happens is we take you out you fall in love but here’s the key even though you think it’s just going to be a fun weekend just want to get a feel of press get always before you come go to the bank and get pre-qualified go to your special loan officer whatever because and you will fall in love with a house and you will not be qualified yet and you will lose the house right and nothing breaks an agent’s heart more than to take someone out and they find their dream home so excited we’re excited we’re gonna make it happen for you and then yeah because we’re too slow right we don’t have all our ducks in a row right somebody beat you to your house somebody beats you too what should be your dream house and they’re living in your dream house they end up living your life in your house that’s right you should have had because you didn’t have your ducks in a row and it’s it’s just not right it’s just not right it’s like a parallel universe with somebody living your life in your house i agree so the easiest thing it takes maybe an hour call your loan officer we know some great people here they’ll set you up they’ll pre-call you in no time flat then we can go look at the city you can fall in love if you see a house you love you won’t lose the deal yeah right don’t go scouting without it don’t in in the unlikely event that you’re going to come to prescott and you’re not going to love it and you’re going to want to go to some other god forsaken city and spend the rest of your life there same thing you’re going to go there and you’re going to find something you’ll still need to get free calling to be qualified you can’t make an offer unless you’re a prequel yeah but do it before you come to the press because right when you get here you will want to stay yeah and i think we talked about that last week yeah we’re number nine in the united states for living great living and also number one and that’s only because there are eight other cities in deep delusion thinking yeah you’re right nobody can beat us yeah but also we’re number one in air quality yeah we are amazing air quality here it’s just a great place so yeah that’s what happened to us we came here and it’s like okay we want to stay that’s exactly right just do yourself a favor get pre-qualified you’ll be much happier we’ll all have a great time you fall in love find the house get it that day done deal welcome to performing arts center beauty and the beast beauty and the beast and it’s an amazing production kind of the story of us beauty and the beast god is bad but yes all right anyway you’re the guy with the chin what’s his name i don’t know i think about that swaggering kind of guy that’s the one i want to be i don’t want to be the biggest up here yeah jack gaston yeah i’m guessed yeah the candlestick no no no lumiere lumiere that’s it i’m actually embarrassed to say i’m just swimming yeah i’m a little confused i raised two girls what do you want you know more than me yeah but that’s the way it is there it is all right anyway it’s friday and saturday 7 00 p.m and sunday they have a three o’clock matinee yeah yep community college center awesome time um bring the kids up yeah well you just go we wanted to talk about i’m very excited is uh tomorrow april 7th is national no housework day ah national no no housework day okay so everybody gets to take the day off from that i’m just letting everyone know for those of you who didn’t know yep enjoy the day off no housework drink wine instead yeah it has been proclaimed national no no housework i’m loving that yeah yeah all right so what’s going on in the market everything’s flying off the shelves so to speak crazy if you’re coming here get ready get ready you got an earthquake how to move quick it is a seller’s market it is spring has sprung in here the spring has brought and uh it’s been a lot of fun meeting all kinds of new people and um making everyone’s dream come true and starting new lives here in our beautiful town anyway you ready i’m ready i was born ready weekly wind up cheers hello hi friends and fellow realtors fellow clients families yeah i think so well you know we want some nice people but some can you edit that’s okay i can edit whatever you want i don’t like where it’s coming out okay no i know i in the word team that’s what i’m trying to say yeah but there’s a mate there’s a mate there’s me there’s me there yeah correct yeah yeah there’s also tea welcome randall welcome to the team yes and the wine and the wine should always take time out for wine always it’s all you know or adult beverage of your or your choice or an herbal tea herbal tea the wine is the wine is really symbolic it’s really about taking taking time but but honestly the wine tastes a lot better when it’s nuts okay all right we learned some fabulous news today but not not anything new that we all know living here this is not news to us fellow preschootonians the fact is that prescott has been ranked ninth in the entire united states yeah that’s huge that’s huge for well-being if you want to move here for some well-being good life good living this is the time that’s right it’s number nine number nine for those of you thinking maybe phoenix i hate to break it to you he so press gets looking mighty good at number nine number nine and the reason why is everyone here is happy here loves the weather loves the attitude loves the general vibe yeah we have a great purpose social financial community and physical those are the top five things physical what is physical having good health and enough energy to get things done daily and this town every day yeah every day every day every day well okay i think this is somewhere else but anyway that’s some bad news some bad news some bad news is about airport airport our airport service has been canceled oh yes this is very sad news um great lakes is no longer no longer going to be flying to los angeles which is devastating to us yeah we have two daughters who will be flying back and forth well not anymore they’ll be driving so yeah apparently there was not enough demand there’s no pilots you’re right not enough pilots who would sign up to fly those one hour commuter flight so that’s very sad day yeah yeah if you’re a pilot and you’re looking for a job call great lakes yeah great lakes will gladly get up back on board but as of now that has been suspended yeah so kind of sad about that yeah so now we’re going to have to drive the six hours to l.a but that’s the way like this some of the other things some of the yucky news will kind of talk about a little bit interest rates are going up yeah uh they are expecting some quarterly um quarterly increases and they’re predicting maybe by 2019 we’re gonna be up to five percent now for some of those i know don’t worry about supposedly old enough to remember you know you know 15 16 it’s still a joke but you know something to keep in mind it is steadily creeping up we’re losing our perfect storm you know we’ve got low interest rates we’ve got low inventory of high demands right yeah this is a really good time to sell a home it’s not going to be a perfect storm but it’s going to be pretty strong for the foreseeable future absolutely absolutely the other thing we wanted to talk about this weekend fun events that are happening coming up weekend coming up easter weekend is the great prescott easter egg hunt how fun is that it’s on saturday from 11 to two at the mile high middle school we’re gonna make a joke there but i’m not mile high just beyond the whiskey road right just beyond whiskey road and they are having a gigantic easter egg hunt so for all of our young families out there with kiddos we miss those days do you well i i you know that they’re going to have 20 000 eggs at that point oh yeah 20 000 we could still go even though we don’t have kids anymore yeah you’re going to get some eggs at this point they can’t be hiding them too often so 20 000 easter eggs they’re going to have food vendors soft drinks carnival and fun yeah so are we going to go um yeah but that is saturday march 31st 11 a.m to 2 p.m good times so if you’re a young family or grandchildren are visiting are you just really like eggs or you really like eggs yeah they go 20 000 easter eggs somebody’s gonna get at least one i’m thinking somebody’s gonna find they’re gonna be throwing eggs at you absolutely all right the other thing that i think is super cool and super fun and i didn’t know is that the elks theater is now showing movies oh that’s cool yeah all movies like casablanca gone with the wind they have all kinds of different movies so back in the day when it was an event you would go to a beautiful theater like the elks theater everybody would get dressed up yeah and that was an event yeah you didn’t schlep in your jammies like you can do some of these places and sit in a lazy boardroom yeah lazy board chairs go and experience elk’s theater beautiful beautiful theater and see some of the old movies the way it was in the olden days right yeah call them elk’s theater they’ll tell you the latest movie that’s showing i think that’d be kind of hard kind of a different kind of a different experience okay the other good things we want to talk about is randall and i we will be at the dells uh with reserve homes we are we’ll be there tomorrow between 11 and four no friday friday okay friday i don’t know where i’m gonna be right no you’re gonna come tomorrow tomorrow friday between 11 and 4 will be at the dells come see what a gorgeous home george rothwest has built
