Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello peeps. Or as we say in New Orleans, bonjour. Bonjour. Bonjour. We say that New Orleans sometimes. Sometimes you got to say with a y accent. Bonjour. They go. Anyway. Yeah. Anyway, that’s that’s with a New Orleans accent. It’s not it’s not Parisian. I’ll say that. Okay. (00:24) So, this is Diana Randle Bro coming to you from the lovely mountain town of Prescat, Arizona. I’m Rand. She’s the presc. I am. Yeah. And uh anyway, welcome to this show. Our show. Our little baby show. Our little baby show. Our little baby show. We’re here today to talk to you about your Prescuit Tribe. Your Prescuit Tribe. (00:44) So Prescuit Tribe. Prescuit Tribe. So a lot of people we talked to one of the big reasons why they are hesitant about leaving where they are now. No matter how bad it is, no matter how bad the traffic is, how high the taxes are, how bad the crime is. Yep. You know, but my friends are the fires. Yeah. I’m catching on fire. Yeah. (01:07) I’m about to lose my home. But about to lose my home, but I don’t want to leave because my my friends live right next door and their house is also burning. Um here’s the thing. We are starting to hear more and more of people doing tribes, doing enclaves. They they come as a group. So it’s like, well, look, if you’re going to leave and you’re going to go someplace else, we should all go together because we’re all friends. (01:30) We would obviously we would encourage that kind of thing. We do see that kind of thing happening more and more. So we would encourage you if you are thinking, well, I probably need to move on. This isn’t the place for my retirement. Chances are you have lots of friends that feel the same way. Get them to be part of the conversation. (01:51) You know, have to come with you. Or better yet, I will tell you, uh, we came here cold. Did not know was sold. No family, no friends. Uh, we have another good friend, Bob, who also came here cold. Um, join join a country club. Yeah. Join golf. Yeah. Um, we have met probably some of the closest, dearest friends that we’ve ever had. Yes. In 40 years of marriage. (02:16) I mean, we are taking it day by day now. Marriage, not the friendships. Not the friendships, but we we aren’t almost 40. Well, almost 39. So, we take it day by day, but the friends are here forever. I will say that. I think I think most of them might come with me, but I don’t know. (02:37) But anyway, if we But the the point is is that don’t be afraid of leaving family and friends. There’s a whole big world out there. And honestly, if you open yourself up and you attend, you know, you join a club, you join uh golf, you join this, you join that, you would be amazed how friendly and welcoming people here are at. That’s right. (02:59) And you know, I I really didn’t understand what good friends were until I came here. And he got lost in the fields. Yeah, that’s right. I we did we did a we did a wind wind down on that where they they came and quote rescued me though I still say I was not lost but you know we were living in Baton Rouge uh we were a young couple with young kids and I was traveling a lot and our so-called friends so so Diane uh had a snake there was a snake in the house and the guy no no no no some there was a loud crash in the middle of the night he traveled all the the time. Yeah. So, I (03:37) had babies, uh, young children, I mean, babies, and we were all sleeping in the middle of the night. Glass crash and break and broke. And I was like, “Somebody’s breaking in my house.” So, I called my neighbor across the street. Said, “Oh my gosh, can you look out the window? Tell me what’s going on. I had this tremendous crash. (03:54) I’m here with the babies. Randall’s not here.” And he said, “I would recommend that you call 911.” Yeah. And I said, “You are now dead to me from here on out.” Yeah, but here in Prescuit that would never happen. That would never happen. Never. People would fly over. I mean, I’d have 15 people here saying, “We’re on our way. Don’t worry. Don’t open the door. (04:15) We’re here. Don’t worry. Call the police. We’re coming. We’re going to,” you know. And so, that is what life in Prescat is. Yeah. Yeah. It really is. 100%. So, we call it your Prescat tribe. These are people who are true blue. Uh, they even give you bone marrow. Oh, yeah. They give you blood. They give you whatever you need. (04:34) These people, nobody’s going to match me. I’m caging this. It’s going to match me and I’m not going to match anyone else. You’re screwed. But anyway, the rest of us are doing okay. We’ll Yeah, they’re going to do kidneys and all that. Not Somebody will save the rest of us. You’re on your own. But uh but no, it is true. (04:49) It is some of the the best people we’ve ever met. Um I’ve never traveled with folks. Um these these are people we travel with. We have a great time. They accept us for who we are in all of our crazy which is saying a lot which is saying a lot because we are crazy. Um and you know they just have your back. Yeah. (05:08) And it’s just not something we’ve experienced living elsewhere. But you know if you if you got a good group of friends and you don’t want to leave them behind, bring them with you. Bring them with you or at least begin to explore the possibility with them. Yeah. Uh, as we mentioned in an earlier windown that Diane and I are going to be doing some online things. Come to an online event. (05:32) Yeah. You don’t even have to come to Prescuit. Get a few people, all your friends, and jump in and see what it’s all about and we’ll chitchat. And we’ll chitchat. Yeah. And we’ll chitchat because if you are someplace that you don’t want to be, there’s no reason for you to stay there. That’s right. Find your own Prescribe here in Prescuit. (05:53) That’s exactly we sure did and a lot of our friends have as well and there’s no looking back. So anyway, you and the rest of your friends will be welcome here. Insummation. Yes. Just come here. That’s all. That’s all I’m saying. We’ll give you some good friends. And we’ll have a good time. Absolutely. Absolutely. All right. (06:14) So, cheers to you. hello hello hello fellow pickle peeps this is Dian Bro but today I don’t have the better half i have an even better half Bob Swelgen cheers to you Bob well thanks Diane thank you for joining us he is uh one of our oldest and dearest friends when we moved to Prescuit uh we’ve been friends a long time we travel together and we’re still friends that’s amazing huh it is amazing so we are very very excited because uh Bob is on the board of uh directors he is the treasurer of a very very special organization here in Prescuit called (00:40) People Who Care and so Bob has been asking us hey can I come on and talk about it and we’re like of course because it’s a very valuable um community office uh service that uh his this nonprofit it’s a it’s a nonprofit organization that uh we well was put together about 35 years ago so it’s been around quite a long time we have a good number of people who provide the service of for those people who can’t uh maybe they’re not able to see so well or not ambulatory or or they just don’t like to drive or do things right we provide a (01:16) free of charge service that will take people to non-medical doctors or hospital non-medical things so just for for the for the visit not major surgery or something like that we’re not going to carry you in and out of in and out of the doctor’s office we’re not gonna sling you over and carry you and we take we’ll take pets to vets cool which is kind of cool we have some people who uh they can’t see very well and we’ll actually have volunteers who will uh go to their home and help them read their mail uh we’ll have one or two people who (01:48) actually go and help people with the personal finances and things like that and as you know this town has a very you know a large uh demographic of 65 and older so there are a lot of folks here who maybe are by themselves maybe family isn’t nearby and so they really rely on people who care to come in and help them with some of these day-to-day things that maybe become a little challenging as you get older maybe you don’t drive anymore so people who care can come over take you to the bank like he said take you to your appointments take you to the (02:20) vet but also like he was saying too if you have a new computer right exactly right if you have a have a new computer and you want to transition from one to the other we have people who will come over and help you with that if you got a new telephone you kind of figure out how to use it um would that work for me i think I’ll just say I think we’ll send we’ll send somebody over by you soon too and and get this again free service to come over so it’s uh it’s just a group of volunteers of which I think now we have (02:48) 267 active volunteers today really uh which is pretty good and we can go over budget you got a pretty good budget well we do about a $750,000 budget so we are always looking for two things one is for volunteers and also donations so it’s kind of like you know paying forward a couple ways you know we look at people who move here maybe they’re in their 60s or very active 70 or even the 50s and they want to keep busy want to do stuff so and they want to do something worthy that makes you feel good that you’re giving (03:21) to the community exactly right you want you want to contribute to people who who have a need because at some point in time as I’m I’m here nine years um yeah I look at this and say well you some point in time that may be me who has who has a need so uh I pay forward as do a lot of other people thinking that well at some point in time the community will return the favor absolutely and uh and we try to do that we have fact we have a a couple who made money for years going around the world on providing services (03:51) to do macular degeneration which is a very big problem it’s like seven to 10 7 to 10% of people over 65 have that issue absolutely unfortunately with a with an arrangement we have with the VA a VA hospital they provide some uh equipment that we utilize in our services and if people need some equipment we can actually get it to them whether it be free or if people can afford to pay we actually would like a little bit of that but if not that’s okay mhm um and we provide that services to a good number of people every year but it’s a it’s a (04:26) worthwhile organization we take care of people in a community um again it’s all free of charge now it’s unbelievable and it’s not based on financial need okay so it’s not like um you have to be a certain you know have a certain level of income or little you know no it’s open to anybody who needs help and these uh volunteers are vetted these are not people I just pull off the street hey you want to do something for us no they have a a criminal check we we do have to do a a fingerprinting and it gets cleared through the Yavapai Sheriff’s (05:00) Office uh we do personal vetting meaning if you want to come and volunteer we require a number of references that we have people who call and actually validate the fact that yeah you are a real person you are you you are what you say you are right and we do an online review as well mhm so we really make sure that we have quality people who are really here for the right reasons um and and we’ve had zero instances by the way zero instances of of any issues um in my tenure as well as all the past that I could find 35 years wow so it’s good (05:34) folks who are volunteering a good time so what is the time requirement if you are a volunteer do you have to do a certain amount of hours a week or No as a matter of fact there is no time requirement okay uh you volunteer to become available when you are available meaning uh we have a database that people who have a need can log in and say I have a need to go to the doctor’s office next Thursday or something or even this afternoon and we do have a group of people who actually assign themselves to certain volunt to certain (06:04) we call them neighbors not people in need we call neighbors right so so certain neighbors would input a need and certain volunteers would go back and fulfill that need i like that which is kind of cool if they if they can’t do it then your your response just has to be no today i can’t make it and that’s a complete sentence is just can you do it no right fine okay we’ll send it to you next time so nobody’s putting a gun to your head or nobody’s making you sign anything that says I got to do it it’s free freewheing if you would to the (06:33) point of if I can make the time to support it I’m going to go do that and if you can’t you can’t and nobody’s ever going to call you know that about the time requirement that’s great because a lot of folks are volunteering they’re they’re retired and they’re going to see grandchildren and so it’s kind of nice you have the freedom to offer when you’re here in town and if not that’s okay they’ll pass it on to someone else to come help their neighbor and we know it’s you know the times aren’t great economically so it’s you know you got (06:59) gas fee gas prices and everything else going up we do compensate the um uh the volunteers with the 67 and a half cents per mile that the government has um as their limit you can pay somebody allotted for um for this type of question but the volunteers do not get paid but they can get compensated for mileage correct correct yeah there’s Yeah volunteers are volunteers right and so they donate their time but we do compensate them for mileage because that’s more than their time right sure so it’s um I think that’s fair yeah yeah (07:33) we get Yeah we get a lot of people who um they some of them take the check some of them just sign the check back over and make a donation which we like i love that so it’s u so again it’s just a lot of good people who um make a lot of u space in their day to help others um and again it’s kind of a you know pay it forward it’ll come back in spades later I think so what so we have not only is Bob on the board but we also have a lot of friends who are not on the board but they just simply volunteer their time so (08:01) they have a set group of people that they love and they’re like you know what I would like to work with whatever Bill and I’d like to work with Shirley so put me on with but uh Bill and Shirley and they will take them out every week you know one gentleman is is uh blind so he goes to help him get his cash so he knows you know that he can be safe and protected and Yeah that’s right we have that the one gentleman you’re talking about buddy of our named Chuck know he knows which um which bank to go to which teller at the bank to go to (08:35) when this guy goes for some reason still gets checks that help Chuck helps him get out of his mail they go to this teller and she knows what to give him as far as the the currency issues and you know the $20 bills $10 bills and he makes payments but he has a jacket he always wears and he puts so much money in each pocket to know what it’s all for and then Chuck takes them home and make sure he puts those dollars in the allowed spot so his bills get paid so it’s it’s it’s kind of cool because people have a relationship together and (09:04) so they they know exactly where to go and who to go see which teller to go to it’s like friendships that people form and also you know they just become close and they help each other out which is what community should be about right so you were saying here your 2024 stats you have 267 volunteers and they work 22,000 hours you said that’s right so in um I’ll give you I’ll give you the 10ear stats because we only we go back 10 years because the data before 10 years is 10 years okay we’ve been around 35 but prior to 10 you know (09:40) we didn’t have computers and all that kind of stuff to keep track so I just look at 10 so last 10 okay the average tenure by the way of every volunteer is over five years oh wow so once they get involved with it they stay with it and so good retention good retention so they feel good about it and they’re happy with what they’re seeing volunteering they feel they’re performing a worthwhile service so we have 550 volunteers over 10 years uh 168,000 hours neighbor served again we call the person who needs our services a (10:10) neighbor right um 2240 wow we’ve driven over 1.4 million miles in that process wow and provided uh services 72,000 times um that’s a lot and if you take it $25 an hour being an hour per service that’s about 44 and a4 million worth of um services provided free of charge wow uh now right now we have like 267 um in in 2024 we’ve driven 22,000 miles uh 321 personal paperwork helps i need that and um and 330 just wellness calls oh wow so if people just would like to get a call to make sure they’re okay sure we do that oh I love that i know (10:57) that that’s nice and you did 204 help with tech devices so I would like someone to come help me with my personal paperwork and tech devices how about taxes yeah we’ll help you with taxes soon as I get somebody to help me with my Exactly you don’t do everything in other words you do a lot you do a lot we do a lot it makes you feel good when you do it and you see people who are very very happy to receive it and like I said I think it’s great as you look at people who may move to Prescuit this is something that they they may look at and (11:28) say you know what maybe I I want to keep busy here’s something I can keep busy with um you know when when they decide it’s time to make a donation at the end of the year maybe they’ll think of us also and I think it’s great too i mean it’s just you really do form close personal relationships with these folks and you can do as much or as little as you want um but you do get close and they’re very appreciative you you get something out of it you feel great and you you feel worthy i mean a lot of folks who you know retire are like “What (11:58) am I going to do with myself?” This is something that makes you feel good exactly right we’ll have people who just come by the office we have a very nice office um in in office it’s off of Gurley okay you get past the bowling alley and go almost to the woods yeah yeah a very nice office complex uh off to the side we had uh someone donate a good Well fact it was a legacy donation we didn’t even know what was going to happen till this woman passed and it wind up we had a large amount of money wow and we also had a person who uh was (12:32) in owned the building that we are now in who decided that you know he really likes people who care and his son was utilizing people who care as he was challenged and needed some help a so we got one heck of a deal on the office we got one heck of a deal on somebody helping us with the financing and now we have offices we rent out to other people as well because it’s a pretty pretty goodized place so you’d be impressed if you came by to see the office i would like to so the other the other good thing is is that um with people who care anyway the other good thing is it’s not just locals who are uh donating you know money towards this worthy cause but there’s al that the hospital is donating a ton of money to people who care we get (13:43) a lot of um donations through grants the hospital will give us a grant u some wealthy people in the area make a point of giving us a grant every year we do other things to raise money we have a golf tournament every year out at the club of Prescott Lakes yay which is a great a great fun event cheers to that absolutely and uh we’re going to have a gayla or had have had gaylas to support the organization um auctions and things like that that’s coming up so we try to keep ourselves um active as we can we try to give more people awareness (14:16) community awareness and that’s why I appreciate you letting letting me speak about this today well he’s a good friend and he’s a good friend good person and uh you know anybody who’s out there and who really wants to get involved this is a worthy worthy cause and uh it’s just great absolutely please uh people who care just go people who care. (14:38) org we’ll give you more information on the on the organization um and you look for more and more information as you get to Prescuit um if you need some help um Diane can get you in touch with me and we will and we will uh grab you and suck you into people who care because you’re going to have a great time and feel much value to yourself and to your soul and give back to the community absolutely so for and for those of you out there who are thinking I do need some help they can call uh people who care. (15:08) org or Absolutely they can look there you go to peoplecare.org and Well when you do that that’s easier to say than phone numbers you’ll see a number there you can call that number and get Meredith will be answering the phone to support you um or just peoplecare.org and send a message via that so any neighbors out there who are thinking gosh this is something I need i really I kind of need some help um I’m here by myself this is great we’re here they’re here to help you um and I know a lot of people on the board and just friends who are volunteers good (15:39) good folks and they just want to give back to the community so we can’t speak highly enough about it and we hope that you reach out to us if you need help or if you just want to be a good volunteer this is it that’s it we’re always looking for you know volunteers looking for donations yep i like donations absolutely donations are always good busy and you’re a crazy realtor like we are there’s no doubt about that it’s hard to even go on a vacation with you guys without you guys being on the phone i know it’s terrible but uh but you know (16:10) at least we could make donations which you know what i’m going to do that now because I think it’s a great great uh great thing and um yeah we run matching programs uh at the end of the year which is just getting over today with being tax day um well we’re just just getting over earlier and um you can do that as far as you know getting matching donations prior to the tax issues you can um put things into your into your will which we encourage people to do if you’re going to pass money on to someone um please do it for us (16:43) for an organization that can help so again if you’re real busy with time make a good donation if you are have a lot of time and you want to do something worthy donate you donate your time and your services we need it and we have a great community here of folks who’ve been here maybe 20 years and maybe now they need a little extra help so this is a worthy cause and we’re happy to help you and happy to do it and I know these people i can vouch personally for them all they’re good people well thank you for the help i appreciate it you’re welcome (17:13) so again what is that people who care.org people who care.org uh please check us out see what you think um Diane and Randall I’m sure will be um communicating with me as you give them a call and say “I want to volunteer my time i want to volunteer my money i want to volunteer or I need someone to help me out. (17:32) ” Yes whether it’s you know reading or vision or driving to the get your pet to the vet uh get me to the doctor’s office absolutely and remember it is not based on financial need it’s just to help anyone who maybe needs a little extra help does not matter on your finances or your situation we’re just here to help our our older community all right well thank you Bob we’re so glad you came i appreciate it all right cheers to that cheers to people who care and you better call us all right we look forward to hearing from you take care bye bye

hello hello hello friendly pickle peeps spring has sprung here in beautiful Prescuit Arizona it has indeed we’re wearing little light uh light blue very spring like yeah we’re very excited it’s uh perfect perfect weather unbelievable just beautiful exceptionally beautiful really nice time of year uh great time to golf oh yeah oh yeah if you’re a golfer it’s good time to be in yeah um anyway beautiful sunny skies uh all the trees are in bloom but anyway we’re having a great time here and so we’re happy to be back in our summer clothes that’s right and ready to (00:41) talk to you about something super super exciting yeah we’re very excited yeah this is Oh by the way I am Diane and this is my hubby Randall yeah she’s the Prescuit pickle lady that’s right diane and Randall Bro your local friendly husband and wife team that’s right realtor team here in Prescuit and we are excited because in the the notsodistant future we will bring you the Pickle Lady live online very exciting very exciting so uh we’re currently asking all of our friends hey do us a favor call in and ask us a question call in and ask us a question so we’ve (01:19) been uh we’re getting some requests for people to uh get together with us and ask questions and we just thought it would be a lot more fun if we did that online we did it live yep uh we can ask your questions live we’ll be live and uh and and have some webinars so we’ll be planning that in the weeks ahead uh also too we will begin holding one-on-one conferences uh so if you want to get uh up close and personal with us we are more than likely to do that with you we’ll meet online you can ask us whatever you want we have a special assessment tool (01:55) that we can use to kind of figure out your particular situation what your next steps ought to be the kind of communities that might suit you and all that kind of stuff and my dog has just came in here and dropped a bone she wants to be a part of the Yeah we’re we’re going to have to let her so we live we’ve been hearing about positive parenting and uh we have decided that we’re going to extend that to our dogs so we’re going to see if that works yeah we’ll see if that works so if you hear toenails clipping or bones dropping uh those are our positive dogs (02:29) and we are the positive parents that have brought them to you so we never want to say no we never want to say no try to gently guide them yeah just gently guide them in a positive way we’re trying can’t do any worse than that yeah so we thought we’d try that we’re trying yeah so we’ll see so I hear bones clacking or Yeah there you go there’s a good one please excuse that please excuse that so we’ll probably cut them out of here before we do the next one but uh our live sessions we will (03:01) not have the dogs I don’t think uh unless they call in unless you Yeah unless if if we get a request to have the dogs on we’ll expressly ask to meet them we’re happy to introduce them we won’t express the dogs but we will if you expressly ask to have them on we will have them on yes yes so stay tuned for more information about when and where should be up in the uh next couple of weeks uh so uh you should see emails and such out uh and if you have any interest at all I encourage you to join us we’ll be glad to have you and we’ll have a good (03:36) time yeah i mean you should reach out to us now if you’d like email us and say “Hey let me know i’d like to be one of one of your first guests or one of your first questions.” Yeah um so start emailing us now and we’ll go through that list yeah absolutely and if you um if instead you’re shy and you just want to meet us one on- one just let us know that too and we’ll get that up set up for you so what’s our email uh our email is dian pressespicklelady. bonjour bonjour bour you’re also very French I am French today and French today I decided to switch it up yeah um happy New Year y’all happy New Years this is Randall and Diane bro coming to you from the beautiful Arizona Christmas City Prescot Arizona she’s the presc pickle lady I am and we are so happy to be here and wish you a happy happy New Year 2025 I can’t believe it that is wow yeah crazy the 21st century is almost a quarter over that’s crazy I know that’s just crazy so uh we wish everyone just the happiest of upcoming years may you all find happiness and (00:46) peace and good health yeah and let us help you find a good home yeahoo there you go New Year’s resolution is to make new start so uh new start and what better way to do that come start here with us in our great little town yeah great little town so one thing we love about Prescot is their celebration for of New Year’s and it’s kind of fun when we first moved here everybody’s like you got to get to the square you got to get to the Town Square we’re GNA have you got to watch the boot drop the boot drop yeah and what does that mean a boot drops yeah so instead of the ball like in in (01:21) Time Square we have a cowboy boot get it because we’re a little western town so the boot drops it’s at Jersey Lily mhm and uh the first time we went we were like wow why is the boot dropping at 10 p.m. this is the beautiful thing about preset they have two boot droppings so for the early birds who want to get in and get out and they’re cold they go and they watch the boot drop at 10 because technically it’s the new year on the east coast and then for the uh Stronger W people who can make it younger yeah yeah younger and warm more warmly dressed yes so they will hang out (02:02) and they drop it again at midnight yeah so they’ll stand around waiting for the other shoe to drop I say that joke every year every year never get old it’s really fun and well first of all pres get’s just an amazingly friendly and warm uh Town it is uh everybody Embraces each other they love each other we have a lot of fun um everybody’s super duper friendly so especially around the square as the boot drops it’s it’s a lot of hugging and happiness and and uh wishes for a happy new year (02:37) and it’s it’s just lovely very very nice very nice little spirited town so and then of course you can you know while you’re waiting for the boot to drop you can go down Whiskey Row and enjoy all kinds of live music and just really uh welcome the New Year in with a bang yes so the other good thing is so that’s fun downtown there’s all kinds of events all over town we go to Prescot lakes and they have a great big giant party you can buy tickets to there’s all kinds of lovely restaurants that (03:10) you can make reservations so we got a lot of fun stuff we do it’s a it’s a great great time yeah so we just want some cities you know in some of the bigger cities New Year’s Eve is kind of a crazy night I know a lot of people that are you know their fear is it won’t be safe you know presc is a safe town it’s a wonderful place to celebrate the holidays and the new year and very very safe place yes that is very true it’s very safe nobody will be pickpocketing you or anything else you might get a a random hug from a stranger maybe a kiss I don’t know but um for the most part (03:51) it’s just a kick-ass time it is that’s all I can say it is that’s all I can say so but uh Randall and I would also like to spend this moment to wish you all a very happy New Year to those of you who we’ve met this past year we just hope your 2025 is off to a good start we’re so happy you’re here in Prescot and we hope to see you at one of these events yeah and to those of you thinking about preset and you know we wish you all a very happy New Year and we thank you for being in our life (04:22) absolutely so cheers to that cheers to that happy 2025 everybody hope to see you soon bye bye bye

hello hello hello and good afternoon afternoon this is Diane and Randall bro here coming to you live from Prescot Arizona talk about the Jim and Linda Lee planetarian planetarium at Embry Riddle yeah if you ever um look at the city with any kind of elevation and you look over in the right direction you’ll see what looks like a giant golf bomb yeah that is the planetarian that’s it and uh the Lees were very gracious to make this happen for our beautiful town so we recently went and saw a whole show about the stars of Prescot the stars of presc which I guess they do every month they update pry cool for what’s happening they they uh tipped us off to a meteor shower yes that was coming in December so we were on the lookout for that yep and they go over you know different times of the year where the stars are and where they move and and it was just it’s first class it is first class such a cool such a cool cool place we wanted to go um it opened shortly before covid I guess and uh we had wanted to go and wanted to go and then it was shut down for covid so we couldn’t go and then we were waiting for it to come back and it wasn’t back and I just kind of fell off the map for a little while and then I I don’t know what happened it was like let’s go and we went with some good friends Y and uh we had a great time yeah uh if you’ve ever been to a planetarium before this is not the planetarium that you knew as a in the 60s or 70s where it’s essentially you know like a ball with a light bulb in the middle and has holes in it and it’s nothing like that okay it it’s they will they will show you uh a constellation and they’ll focus in on one star and they focus in they actually went through a constellation and showed the spatial relationship you know sort of like it’s up down where they went like yeah the Seven Sisters they look like they’re very close together but in point of fact some are much closer to the Earth than others so they flying through the air to show you what it looks like from a different perspective amazing and they have different shows they have different shows that go over different things it’s a very reasonable price to get in there so it was just a lovely uh event to go to we saw learned all kinds of stars like 30 minutes something like that yeah and it’s really good because we are a dark town because we used to have observatories so you see tons of stars here so you sit on your deck or you sit on your patio it’s dark we don’t have a lot of street lights so you see all these Stars well you go to the Planetarium you learn all about them yeah yeah and what it means and and some of the mythology behind it and I I must confess some of the creatures I’m like I don’t quite see that but hey yeah that’s cool yeah whatever ever um people had a lot of imagination they had a lot of imagination and not a lot of TV yeah but it’s uh it’s fascinating and you really learn a lot and then when you’re outside now you’ve learned it so you can see for yourself oh I know what that is I just saw that at the planetarium and you might even go get your own telescope a lot of our friends have done that and they star watch and Planet watch yeah if you have any interest in astronomy or even astrology I guess for that matter uh Prescot is a great place to do that with our Dark Skies I have I’ve never really lived anywhere else where the skies were this dark right I have learned more about the sky in the past seven years that I’ve been here than I learned in the previous however many I don’t want to mention the number uh that I was around because uh just the darkness of the Skies so if you have any interest in the skies at all and you’re coming here this is great you’re in the right town and check out the planetarium is a great place to kick off your exploration it’s awesome okay so thank you to Jim and Linda Lee for making that happen absolutely and adding yet another dimension to our really cool Tawn yeah all right my friends that’s our tip of the day look up in the Stars give us a call see you soon bye bye

a I think a lovely real estate team here in Prescot lovely in the sense that we’re good at what we do maybe not always the most attractive but well we try to have fun we try to make this as stressfree and easy as possible for you we trying to be attractive it’s I’m not I don’t really care about that I’m trying to move away from that did you not pick up on that by the way she’s the pickle lady she’s prescy pickle lady and as she mentioned I am her psychic I’m trying to steer him away and he brings me right back no you got to follow my lead okay Follow My Lead follow your I’m steering you away from that what are we talking about I don’t know if you’re going to leave you need to know where we’re going we’re going me lose my my we are here to talk about whiny cats whiny cats and you’re not going to believe what this is about yeah it’s not about whiny cats it’s actually a lovely lovely Winery out in Chino valleyin Valley yes and it’s actually called whiny cat cat w i NE y you get the play on that cats and don’t they also like rescue cats too yeah they do they rescue cats and I think some of the they they uh uh some of their funds go to the care of of cats so we’ve had several friends I’m going to give a shout out to Lori and John and uh Jim and Laura yeah they uh have rolled Us in rolled Us in R Us in that’s the word I word they have roped Us in us in a couple times a couple times and they said you got to go try this place whining CS I’m like never heard of it um these of course folks are are luckily retired so they have a much better life than us yeah so they discover these great things and they tell us all about it they cut us in and then they cut us in and they’re kind enough to invite us and we go out and have a great time so whiny cats recently had a big event and you could uh buy some tickets and they had a battle of the bands and you sit under these gorgeous giant trees were they cotton Woods I don’t know what kind trees beautiful shady and they set up tables and you can have a reserve table and this time you could have they they provided lunch but most of the time if you go out there just to listen to the live music they have wine and ciders and beers and you can bring your own food yeah bring your own food so you can bring your own food your own Sherie boards and just sit out there under the beautiful trees and enjoy the weather and great music yeah and dancing some really great bands yeah so we were tickled uh to be invited with the cool kids yeah John and Laura Lorie or the the cool kids Cool Kids yeah they’re always out there partying and teaching us new things so um this was a good one without your shair absolutely right down the road at Chino you don’t have to drive far not a far drive I don’t know maybe a 30 minute drive yeah but it’s just a a delightful time just to while away the afternoon especially now that fall is here it’s just beautiful you need a little break get away from it all be outside in nature whiny cats whiny cats yeah great little I mean who would think that you’d have this great Winery out in the middle of Chino but there it is try the cider try oh I love The Cider with lavender yeah good stuff so we have a good time and of course we love hanging with those folks they’re good friends and um they paid us you know they said would you mention our names I said okay what do you want from us so no they didn’t do that no they didn’t what are you talking about he’s like are you serious no you shouldn’t know no no I no but we appreciate a good invite cuz we need a break every now and then and it’s great this was a good one yeah it was good very relaxing just very just hanging out and all Outdoors yeah was a beautiful day under in the shade yeah some really good music so we just want to give a shout out to whiny catsy cats plus they they they do a lot of good for the homeless kitty cats homel kitty cats so we’re happy to be uh part of that too yeah absolutely so we want to good morning and hello hello hello peeps I am Diane bro the local pickle lady ask a pickle lady Prescott pickle lady like it says in the cup just like it says in the cup yeah there it is this is uh my sidekick Randall bro we are local Realtors here in Prescott always happy to come chat with you about all multitudes of multitudes of things some interesting some boring I don’t know we like to cover things real estate we also like to cover things about just living in Prescott and the fun things they are hard to do and that’s what we’re here today to talk about we want to talk about one of the local bands and one of those love them one of our earlier videos we talked about the local or Regional bands that kind of develop a local following yep uh and today we wanted to talk about one of those so the name of the group is steppen Rock Stefan Rock Stefan Rock if you’re listening you can thank me later yeah yeah you’re welcome I’m doing a little place that’s right great great music they play all kinds from the 70s the 80s night I mean they go on and on they’re great uh everything this is a this is a couple yep and we’ve seen him two or three times now but we kept hearing that it’s Stefan Rock Stefan Rock so you need to go you need to go you need to go you need to go so I guess it was Memorial day we were over at haciampa the uh yeah which is in Hacienda uh and joining some friends there and uh they had a band so we’re sitting there eating and we’re listening to music and we’re thinking wow this is really good they are really good they are really good A lot of my favorite songs yeah and really well yeah yeah oh my God so at some point I said you know I need to go find out the name of this band that’s right so I walk across the courtyard and stuff and run Stefan Rock so were they the ones who started in Vegas and yes there’s so much competition yeah they were in Vegas and you know there’s a lot of things going on in Vegas and nobody is there all the time uh well I mean they have locals that live in Vegas but for the most part people who are going to the shows are not from the town so it’s hard to develop a local following there um so I guess they struggled eventually they ended up in Prescott and uh they started playing Regional I don’t know if they live in Prescott I don’t know but they got the following they got a following you everybody loves them and someone was talking uh talking to them and they were saying now that we live here our calendar is completely full they’re booked completely focused and we’re excited about them yeah they hear them they want to hear them again we have any number of musical venues that you can go see them so you can pretty much go see them every day if you wanted to once they’re playing almost everything they float around and they go from place to place they are amazing they are amazing so uh sometimes they’ll play at a venue they might play at the park and people will come and we we bring our our chairs our lawn chairs we can go sit out and listen to live music and so the other day we did that we went to see somebody and um anyway everybody brings their lawn chairs and we sit in a circle and we have a glass of wine this that and the other and Randall’s like we should bring extra chairs because more people came walking by throughout and they’re like oh we want to join you can we yeah if you’re going to an outdoor venue bring a few extra chairs because more more than not you’re gonna see some friends there who weren’t planning on this sitting down and listening to music but they want to join yeah and then in that fun you know so I sat on the grass for a little while to one of my or one of our friends coughed up an extra Chariot in his car and I was very happy so a little tip there if you remember when these uh outdoor venues bring some extra chairs because you’re going to run across somebody yes it might be me yeah yeah we might join you okay you never know never know so we love our music scene here love it love it love it great bands and Stefan rock is one of them one of the best so we hope to see you one day at a stuff and rock show Absolutely and we’ll have a good time yes okay that’s it for today bye bye

Cheers Cheers hello folks and welcome to the Randall and Diane bro pickle lady show it’s a pickle lady hour pickle lady hour that’s not really an hour eight minutes eight minutes 30 eight minute show pickled eight minutes of the piccoloo show that’s us we’re Punchy because today we’re going to talk about something that was kind of fun a lot of fun a lot of fun a lot of yeah Brew Fest is back yeah so Brew Fest is Back we went to the Brew Fest uh they have a brew fest it’s in June in uh in Prescott they hold it at I guess it’s a middle school football field they hold it on yeah they used to do hot air balloons they didn’t have Hunter balloons but they did have a live band they had a Features live band and that was fun and they must have had at least 25 booths oh 28 probably double that more than that yeah and so you buy your tickets and you go it’s in the evening so the weather’s perfect oh it was beautiful it was so nice and you just go and you can go from Booth to booth and just try all these different local uh local boys pretty local we’re sort of regional oh yeah Regional yeah some of them are for like uh Southern California which isn’t that far away from us uh pretty much anyone in Arizona is going to be there some amazing beers we’ve got some amazing beers amazing wineries here too believe it or not the best of show in my humble Best of Show opinion was a and I put it I’ll have to I’ll have to look them up but uh they did a uh Bourbon Barrel Scottish ale they were from Lexington oh is that what you bought uh Kentucky yeah so we had a good time and then you bring your chair and you can sit down and listen to music yeah yeah so um anyway COVID Hiatus it’s been a great time thing uh we used to go to it and then covid you know put a kibosh on it I think this was the first one since covet no did they do it last year they might have done it live we didn’t do we didn’t go last year but it’s coming back it’s coming back stronger than ever great time so if you’re thinking about moving to Prescott or you’re new to Prescott are you looking always coming in June ask us about Brew Fest and uh we’ll hook Randal’s Chatty you up somebody’s chitter chattering today that’s very you’re very chatting when we’re talking about beer man we’re very adamant beer and dogs beer and dogs I won’t say another word yeah you carry trying to get a word in Edgewater hey you go ahead anyway so if you’re here mid-june always try to make it around the Brew Fest it’s a lovely time right yeah I think we had some clients that met us there no doesn’t it I remember we were supposed to I remember if they showed up or not I think they did they might have yeah we had a good time so it’s uh we always Prescott Events have lovely events here in town all the time and now that covet is lifted we’re opening back up again and just having all of our events are starting up again it’s it’s just great it is it’s great absolutely wonderful so we hope maybe next year in June we’ll see you at the bridge that’s right particularly our our Better than Southern AZ listeners in Southern Arizona yeah yeah it’s it’s already hot down there in June uh if you’re looking for an escape in June that’s a good time to come up it’s lovely evening evening weather here in summertime 70s it was perfect it was perfect perfect so anyway we hope next year maybe in June we’ll run across here yeah yeah yeah you see us come over and uh you know we’ll uh we’ll uh share a beer with you Wind Down absolutely so just wanted to share about Brew Fest and what a good time it is and how much we enjoy it every year yeah so hope to see you soon and uh we’ll have a beer like you yeah absolutely cheers cheers bye

you’ll understand why we said it that way in a minute you won’t understand why my Irish accent is so but true true that was my best attempt whisper it’s pretty good yeah worse yes but we’re excited to be here this is Diana Randall bro coming to you live from Prescott Arizona not record it depending on your well well it’s live right now it is recorded it’s not recorded from another important yeah yeah so we’ve got uh St Patrick’s Day coming up yep uh by the time you see this St Patrick’s Day will be over but as we’re recording it is actually before St Patrick’s Day so we thought we’d talk a little bit about St Patrick’s Day what goes on uh in town here and just our thoughts about it I would be in green however we shoot this shoot the front of a green screen that’s right so I would just appear that’s right so I can’t be in true Irish Spirits yeah the whole room is green you’re not seeing it because you know you can’t see it let’s imagine we have other stuff behind us St Patrick’s Day here is a great holiday um it’s celebrated we all have a wonderful time uh uh Murphy’s steakhouse has a huge event yeah and uh and the pub there’s an Irish Pub right on Sheldon yeah well it’s an Irish Irish pub and they go crazy for St Patrick’s Day huge huge all kinds of good food you know cabbage corned beef all the beer drink it goes on and on and on [Music] Irish Fair we’re going to uh St Patrick’s Day over at Prescott Lakes Country Club Yep they’re having a little uh Irish Buffet a little Irish music exactly we uh we got a table of ten yeah and so we’re all going to drink our green beer have a nice time so it’s a big town here to celebrate St Patrick’s yeah it’s a very social Town very social town I was looking for something to have fun yeah St Patrick’s Day is one of those holidays there’s no obligations you have to buy gifts and no it’s just about having fun camaraderie and what I love about it too uh at least where we’re from in New Orleans and here in Prescott want to say it may not be that way in other areas of the country other areas of the world but uh where we’re from on St Patrick’s Day everyone is Irish everyone everyone so everyone gets to participate and you are welcome and you’re welcome no matter what you are you’re welcome to come here so I’ve got I’ve got no Irish enemy but you’re what how much Irish yeah her dad’s family they’re a bunch of Boston it was a big Irish potato for sure yeah so yeah we’re all here so but it doesn’t matter you can still represent and celebrate that Irish Spirit yeah and our town does it well yeah and we have a good time yeah I do see more than my fair share of corned beef and cabbage yes and it is deadly later but yeah yeah it’s okay you gotta you gotta Embrace Life so to speak sometimes it flattens you out but there it is there it is oops there it is yeah so if you’re looking for a good place to spend St Patrick’s Day although you’ve already missed it uh you can look forward to it next year and all the other holidays that uh or just times to have fun move on into press get in Embrace uh what we offer for you on St Patrick’s Day you can wear green yeah you don’t have to worry about the green screen because you will be live and in the action that’s right and you’ll have fun that’s right so anyway we welcome you and I can’t wait to celebrate St Patrick’s next year with you yeah we’ll have a green beer with you in front of the green screen come join us ladies cheers

good afternoon my fellow pickle peeps hello hello hello Diana Randall bro here coming at you from Prescott Arizona happy to be here yeah we’re starting off our new year yeah we’re getting the gears going uh we’re excited to be back in the action started some action and we had a lot of fun uh New Year’s Eve New Year’s Eve great time and so we wanted to talk about we actually live in Prescott Lakes we wanted to talk about the amazing social amenities that Prescott Lakes has to offer all right so if you don’t know Prescott Lakes Prescott Lakes is the largest subdivision in city of Prescott and I believe it is the second largest in the Prescott area there’s one subdivision on PV it’s a bit bigger yes it’s a big place they have about 1500 Lots probably about and now I’m saying maybe 1300 1350 have been developed totally yeah just some idea how big that is so Under the Umbrella as I call it of Prescott Lakes are about 13 different neighborhoods yeah we all go to the one center of the of the whole development which is the club and uh so there they have a private restaurant it’s amazing they always have something fun going on always always always and now that covet is lifted we’re back back in action so we wanted to talk about this New Year’s Eve we actually went to the club it was open for New Year’s Eve they had a live band they had an amazing Buffet um and we had a good time The Time Of Our Lives it was a good time yeah just to be clear so if you live in Prescott Lakes you will belong to the club that those two go together it is uh it’s not optional you you pay monthly dues you belong to the club you belong to the athletic center uh and if you’re interested that we can give you more information so here’s a great idea if you’re looking here in Prescott you find a house that you absolutely adore and but you want the social amenities that Prescott Lakes has to offer but your home Falls outside of that jurisdiction so to speak you can get a social membership I think it’s 60 or 65 dollars a month and that enables you to come to the restaurant and enjoy all the social events that they have one being uh New Year’s Eve we were there you could get tickets to that and you could go the other being um party on the Terrace which is always fun right yeah so the party and the Terrace they do that two three times a month oh I don’t know that much but yeah well it depends on the month this month they’re doing I think they have three of them but uh it depends on the month but uh yeah they’ll have live bands uh there’s a nice Terrace outside the club and has a beautiful view uh the weather’s good they’ll do it outside there’s a fire pit people hang out by the fire pit they’ll have live music they’ll have a great buffet dinner yeah it’s really uh dancing drinking it’s lovely it’s lovely lovely the other good thing is uh there are clubs within the club here at Prescott Lakes and with the social membership you are allowed to join some of those not all but some if it doesn’t involve the athletic center you can still come do bridge club book club The Women’s Club uh there’s a variety of them that are open to you so if you’re new here you can still kind of enjoy some of the Prescott Lakes social amenities we have a lot of friends who do not live in Prescott Lakes proper but they belong and we go out we have a great time yeah and meet them for dinner meet them for lunch the club is always having amazing brunches they have a beautiful Easter brunch Mother’s Day Mother’s Day Father’s Day so if you’re always kind of Prescott legs they’re essentially two options if you’re a big golfer you may want to join the golf as a golf membership golf memberships are not uh limited to just people in Prescott lake so you get a golf membership for a little bit more you’ll get access to the Athletic Club and everything so right uh if you do that it what you pay is marginally more than what you would pay if you lived in Prescott if you’re not a golfer do the social membership 60 65 absolutely no-brainer have a good time yeah and we’ll see you there you know eat in the restaurant we’re always there and it is a tremendous way to meet people new to the area yeah lots of people are not from here and they become members and it’s great to meet people and make some new connections yeah absolutely we highly recommend it we love the club we love the social membership so don’t be sad like oh I love what it has to offer but I bought a house outside of Prescott Lakes not to worry yeah we can still make it happen and you can have fun and people eaters you yes understand what you were saying I got it I got it this is Diana Randall bro coming here to you this morning from the lovely Prescott Arizona she’s special lady I am the pickle lady when you come here to visit you’ll find that why I will give you a jar of my delicious Cajun pickles very good uh yeah the Beloved pickles yes anyway good time to come is the holiday season always always wow no bad time to come true uh if you if you’re thinking about spending time the holiday season taking a little trip risky might be a good choice yeah if you want to do something kind of different like you know what kind of in between Thanksgiving and Christmas head on up here and visit Prescott yeah we will have over a hundred thousand lights and all of the trees around our beautiful Courthouse Square lights in the Square uh it’s so ridiculously Charming as I tell everyone when I take them in and they come to visit we could be in a Hallmark movie or a Hallmark card whatever anything Hallmark related you know what I’m talking about when it’s sweet pretty yeah it’s pretty open it’s darling never just absolutely it’s like something out of the 50s it really a parade it’s so nice so it’s just a small town small town at its finest yeah and Prescott is so freaking Charming that it has even been labeled Arizona’s Christmas City yeah that’s the whole state it’s it’s in our little Hamburg ER three off you thought I was gonna say little town how about a hamlet Hamlet said Hamburg I did it’s a mac oh hamburgers edit that out what no it should be maybe it started off that way now and now I sound dumb that’s not where hamburgers come from but you can get a hamburger here for the holidays or otherwise that’s right but it’s very Charming lots of beautiful shopping to do around the square and all of our nice little individual stores and boutiques and yeah for uh acronite so I think we did another video on at night uh so just briefly it’s a very special night here that’s Christmas related uh this year it is December 9th I think it is it’s like a Friday they’ll light up the tree the Christmas tree and it becomes official all the stores around the square will stay open late it’s a great charity uh charitable event and you can travel from store to store and make a donation and they’ll have live music and it all benefits uh musicians and young students uh needing musical it’s a great idea yeah great event every year yeah and uh the lights and everything all the decorations stay up into January they have a long time yeah it stays up a while so if you can’t make it for the holidays proper uh because I still have some time in the early January mid-January uh something to see for New Year’s Eve we have uh our own answer to the ball drop yep we have the boot drop the boot drop it’s a big cowboy boot we don’t do the disco ball the little ball we do a boot we do and for the early birders which there are quite a few here uh they’ll drop the boot at 10 because it’s midnight on the East Coast so exciting with the ball and Time Square if you are one of the people like to stay up later they’ll drop it again at midnight and make it truly official you stand around and wait for the other shoe to drop how long have you waited for that joke that was a good one yeah well anyway we’d love to see you we’d love to share with the Christmas spirit the holiday spirit is all about in beautiful beautiful spirit a couple of weeks in January it doesn’t matter it’s a great time it doesn’t matter come see us we’ll have a good time yeah so and maybe we’ll see you around the square we’ll you know cheer cheers into the new 2023 amen God willing we’ll all be there a couple warned cider with you that’s right so don’t miss it and come see why Prescott is called Arizona’s Christmas City not to be me that’s to be missed uh so if you uh or want to learn more about holidays in Prescott mm-hmm uh along with other tips you can check out our free information site you can reach it at pickle411.com uh we have information there about acronite and the boot drop and all kinds of stuff stuff about real estate stuff about life all highly entertaining informative and infusions usually entertaining I can’t I can’t make you know all promises it depends on your sense of humor it depends on your sense yeah because informative nonetheless but you should really come see it what it’s all about it’s beautiful and so we hope to see you floating around and give us a call we’d love to take you on your own personal Christmas tour if you’d like Holiday Tour Holiday Tour we’re here absolutely there’s a little bite in the air Winter’s in the air great time to visit hope to see you soon take care bye
