hello hello hello hello peeps this is Randall and Diane bro here coming to you live from our little town of Prescott Arizona we are here to kind of talk about some things cut them Charlie Brown yeah you know poor Charlie Brown but anyway we are here to talk about something that you know eor-ish Charlie brownish related asbestos asbestos kind of the thing about asbestos is every year there’s less and less to talk about right asbestos has been identified as a problem since I guess the early 80s yep and uh for the most part it’s been eradicated in most homes certainly all new homes yeah uh but from time to time you have a home that dates back to the 80s no not even really it’s like 1974 earlier and maybe even I think 74 to 80 is you know because they were still using asbestos yeah some of the materials yeah yeah even though they said no more asbestos they grandfathered in existing materials so yeah so the the uh yeah so there’s no hard cut off like in lead-based pain correct our cutoff is 78 anything 70 and later you’re fine yeah that’s right and it’s a big No-No there’s no hard cut off in asbestos yeah but basically the most common uh things for asbestos sometimes they would do duct insulation uh we have yet to see that the one that is most common here and probably most common around right around the country is the dreaded popcorn ceilings yeah popcorn ceilings are notorious especially if they were put in in 1974 1975. although you were sitting in high cotton when you put up those popcorn ceilings everybody thought you were you know put the glitter in there I mean the glitter was even more that was an added step but you were pretty fancy if you were doing it along with your sunken living rooms the prince Acoustics but that’s right it does it is pretty cool but however is it fine if it just stays in place sure but boy if you try to remove that you’ve got to have that abated immediately super fine particles just floating you can’t even see it yeah if you if you are if you have a home you’re trying to sell and it has popcorn okay chances are it’s gotten asbestos nobody is going to want a popcorn ceiling nobody nobody you’re going to want to pull it down yeah even you know the people talk about oh Grandma’s gonna sell her home oh my God even grandma doesn’t want popcorn nobody wants popcorn anymore I really don’t think it’s all that bad I really don’t I mean it doesn’t really offend me but I’ve seen people accept really pretty gross stuff but popcorn ceilings for whatever reason the whole body wants popcorn so if they’re gonna buy your house they’re going to want to remove it if they’re going to remove it that’s a problem if there’s asbestos so you’re gonna have to Abate it you’re gonna have to Abate it and there are companies we can help you with every step of the way uh they will come out and take three core samples from three different locations in the home it is shipped down to Phoenix it is tested and then they give you the percentage um and they will then refer you to abatement companies of which we know you know several of them here I’m sure you ask for for popcorn sealants make sure you ask them to measure the square footage oh yes of the popcorn typically to Abate that to you know have it all scraped down if you do do have asbestos it’s about 450 a square foot a square foot yeah so keep that in mind it’s it’s not a cheap Endeavor to repair that and get it all cleared and then after it’s all scratched up that is good I should say that it is as of November 2022. that’s correct yeah that price written in stone remember Stone but yeah as a a and to make the math easy you might want to do five dollars a square sure the other thing is to once it’s uh abated you’re gonna have to do air tests that’s to demonstrate that there’s no asbestos in the air still uh still correct and that’s probably going to run you another 12 1200 1500 and there’s a separate company that yeah that will come out and test the air quality yeah generally all very important steps yeah generally they’re two two types of companies there is the inspection company inspection and they’re not the same because you don’t want one right you’re a baby we swear it’s all clear now no you need to have somebody that’s why they do it that way right so we have uh all of those people in place if you fall in love with something there’s some great great you know Brady Bunch houses here in Prescott yeah built in the 70s I love them they’re darling no we we’ve actually we’ve gone through an abatement uh you know we uh we were representing the buyer uh we had the popcorn inspected sure enough there was asbestos uh we asked for the repair the seller agreed to do that and the abatement company came in they wear their little booties and a little you know they take care of business and they you know they do all these plastic tunnels you know the the with the plastic that they put up yeah everything it’s hardcore and uh yeah but I mean they come in they do the job yeah they get out that’s done and it’s done well it’s done well and we tested everything was fine yep so it’s not a deal killer but in general I think for most people you’re probably looking at about 10 right uh to Abate that and so you are a seller uh we would advise you if you’ve got popcorn test it if it’s you know chances are it’s going to be bad well even if it’s all right so if you’re gonna if you’re gonna take down the popcorn test it first don’t just take down the pop never take down the popcorn ruin your health okay absolutely you first have to have it tested and uh and if it’s um if it there’s no asbestos you could think about leaving it up and you would have the documentation and demonstrate that there’s no asbestos right uh but for the most part you want to take down popcorn take down take down the pop before you before I love to eat popcorn I think it’s delicious do I want it in my ceiling not really not really but so that is our tip of the day for asbestos it doesn’t necessarily mean end of times end of the world I have to walk away from this house there’s some fantastic homes with beautiful bones they just need to you know get a little you know up with the time so don’t necessarily rule it out but you should be aware of the cost you should be aware that it can be fixed but always test test test test it’s very hello hello hello and happy good afternoon how’s that that’s good Happy good afternoon happy good afternoon yeah you’re good and happy this is Diane and Randall bro you’re a fellow thank you for identifying yourself she’s pickling I am the pickle lady as well uh thank you for listening to our current little Vlog that we’re about to do it look at you we’re happy to have you here isn’t that a Russian name I don’t know but anyways we’re just delighted we’re with exp Realty we’re local Realtors here in Prescott here to talk to you about a lot of questions we get about property tax property taxes it weighs heavily on a lot of our out of town people who come in heavily heavily and I swear I swear on on the Holy Bible I swear whatever you need me to swear on uh we do not have a stepped up tax appreciation as you will find in other states such as California yeah uh maybe at Oregon and Washington when you buy here there might be a slight adjustment on the current property taxes on the home you’re purchasing but it will not be a dramatic increase like oh they bought this house for 200 000 and now we’re selling it for six hundred thousand so I guess the taxes are going to shoot Sky High does not happen does not happen that way so I swear yeah we had uh two back-to-back years in Prescott uh 30 appreciation during the Covenant market and during that time I think property taxes actually went down yeah they actually went down so so we have a zero-based budget approach to government here in Prescott the uh I guess it’s the county I don’t know the city the whoever mayor who the mayor he gets down he must have a meeting yeah they they figure out what their budget is and they plan to have no money left over at the end so they they put together this is how much money we need to run the place at this point this is all the property that we have and they kind of back into what they need to charge so that they break even right what’s the most important things that we need to address this year yeah and uh they take care of it it’s a very Progressive little town yeah um we don’t have potholes we don’t have roads that need work on we don’t have confidence yeah it’s pretty confident I don’t know what they’re doing they kind of know what they’re doing um things are handled here so they’re not always looking to gouge you for more money taxes they just don’t do that so I mean your taxes might go up fifty dollars yeah might go up 100 might go down 50 it just really depends on what the city is looking at and what their needs are to accomplish for the upcoming year so I know it’s hard to believe yeah we’ve been here six and a half years I think my taxes might have gone up total at the maximum two hundred dollars that’s it all right so now as we are recording this this is November of 2022. yep and let’s talk a little turkey so oh let’s say I have a home it is in Prescott Lakes uh cost of the home is 750 000 okay what’s the property tax probably going to be probably anywhere from 2100 maybe to 2500 yeah that’s per year per year that’s the other question we always get so do you mean every six months no that’s quarterly right no no it’s not quarterly it’s not semi-annually it’s once a year once a year that’s it and it won’t sell out when your property values go up that’s right some homes in here it might even be 1800 1900. uh taxes are extremely reasonable here so when you’re looking to move here think about all of that your cost of living is going to go way down think about just the savings alone on your property taxes we have some people in our car they’re paying 11 to 15 000 a year yeah I mean that’s like a fancy vacation you could take yeah yeah that’s like oh now we can that money’s freed up now I can go out and really enjoy life without sweating these huge property taxes yeah in other states and so we swear they don’t go up they don’t go up you’re not going to have a crazy stepped up tax appreciation it’s uh pretty chill here yeah we need to do another wind down on property tax but I would just give you the short version because I know that’s what you’re thinking yeah but they’re going to get me with income tax right oh yeah um I knew what you said so okay here’s the thing most of the people who are coming in they are going into retirement when you retire your income goes down so uh even though you have lots of assets you’re supposed to pay on your you know your annual income and for most people retiring that number goes down yep uh even if that’s not the case the income tax here is reasonable yes it’s really really small yeah our property taxes are lower we aren’t going to get you in the income tax yeah it is it’s still pretty reasonable that’s not like the state of Texas we used to live in Texas oh no no uh income tax no income tax yeah but we’re paying 12 000 in property tax from a home they get you in other ways for 350 000 yeah guys something like that they’ll get you another one we’ll get you yeah so um yeah add those two together yep uh and uh the both of them are very low here so taxes are a good thing so it’s a it’s a happy day and you you will be happy too when you’re going on a cruise are you taking a little John to Hawaii instead of sending it to whatever state you’re living in that’s right for your you know 30 year old home yeah yeah that’s just my opinion yeah so a little Holidays in Prescott

Lights, music, and good cheer abound.  In this episode, we cover what the Holiday Season is like in our little town (which extends well into January, by the way).

people eaters you yes understand what you were saying I got it I got it this is Diana Randall bro coming here to you this morning from the lovely Prescott Arizona she’s special lady I am the pickle lady when you come here to visit you’ll find that why I will give you a jar of my delicious Cajun pickles very good uh yeah the Beloved pickles yes anyway good time to come is the holiday season always always wow no bad time to come true uh if you if you’re thinking about spending time the holiday season taking a little trip risky might be a good choice yeah if you want to do something kind of different like you know what kind of in between Thanksgiving and Christmas head on up here and visit Prescott yeah we will have over a hundred thousand lights and all of the trees around our beautiful Courthouse Square lights in the Square uh it’s so ridiculously Charming as I tell everyone when I take them in and they come to visit we could be in a Hallmark movie or a Hallmark card whatever anything Hallmark related you know what I’m talking about when it’s sweet pretty yeah it’s pretty open it’s darling never just absolutely it’s like something out of the 50s it really a parade it’s so nice so it’s just a small town small town at its finest yeah and Prescott is so freaking Charming that it has even been labeled Arizona’s Christmas City yeah that’s the whole state it’s it’s in our little Hamburg ER three off you thought I was gonna say little town how about a hamlet Hamlet said Hamburg I did it’s a mac oh hamburgers edit that out what no it should be maybe it started off that way now and now I sound dumb that’s not where hamburgers come from but you can get a hamburger here for the holidays or otherwise that’s right but it’s very Charming lots of beautiful shopping to do around the square and all of our nice little individual stores and boutiques and yeah for uh acronite so I think we did another video on at night uh so just briefly it’s a very special night here that’s Christmas related uh this year it is December 9th I think it is it’s like a Friday they’ll light up the tree the Christmas tree and it becomes official all the stores around the square will stay open late it’s a great charity uh charitable event and you can travel from store to store and make a donation and they’ll have live music and it all benefits uh musicians and young students uh needing musical it’s a great idea yeah great event every year yeah and uh the lights and everything all the decorations stay up into January they have a long time yeah it stays up a while so if you can’t make it for the holidays proper uh because I still have some time in the early January mid-January uh something to see for New Year’s Eve we have uh our own answer to the ball drop yep we have the boot drop the boot drop it’s a big cowboy boot we don’t do the disco ball the little ball we do a boot we do and for the early birders which there are quite a few here uh they’ll drop the boot at 10 because it’s midnight on the East Coast so exciting with the ball and Time Square if you are one of the people like to stay up later they’ll drop it again at midnight and make it truly official you stand around and wait for the other shoe to drop how long have you waited for that joke that was a good one yeah well anyway we’d love to see you we’d love to share with the Christmas spirit the holiday spirit is all about in beautiful beautiful spirit a couple of weeks in January it doesn’t matter it’s a great time it doesn’t matter come see us we’ll have a good time yeah so and maybe we’ll see you around the square we’ll you know cheer cheers into the new 2023 amen God willing we’ll all be there a couple warned cider with you that’s right so don’t miss it and come see why Prescott is called Arizona’s Christmas City not to be me that’s to be missed uh so if you uh or want to learn more about holidays in Prescott mm-hmm uh along with other tips you can check out our free information site you can reach it at pickle411.com uh we have information there about acronite and the boot drop and all kinds of stuff stuff about real estate stuff about life all highly entertaining informative and infusions usually entertaining I can’t I can’t make you know all promises it depends on your sense of humor it depends on your sense yeah because informative nonetheless but you should really come see it what it’s all about it’s beautiful and so we hope to see you floating around and give us a call we’d love to take you on your own personal Christmas tour if you’d like Holiday Tour Holiday Tour we’re here absolutely there’s a little bite in the air Winter’s in the air great time to visit hope to see you soon take care bye

Prescott is a hot scene for good cover bands.  Whatever your taste in music, there is a cover band waiting at one of our local theaters to delight and entertain you.  With plenty of nearby dinner options, great music, small performance venues, and audiences that like to get up and dance - cover band nights in Prescott are do-not-miss events.

good morning to all of our fellow pickle peeps out there hope that uh you guys are making it through and survive the holiday season holiday season it’s uh well well underway yes it is so we’re still busy busy busy here it’s unbelievable um despite all the craziness that’s going on out there in the world uh things are still rolling here in Prescott so moving on So today we’re going to talk about this is one of the top things that we love about Prescott we have so much fun yeah um there’s a lot of bands that will come here and play at the Elks Theater sometimes you have a pie Community Center yes um all over yeah and uh they’re great yeah they are now we do get real bands we do most of those uh play at the Finley Center in Nebraska Valley is a big big arena uh but what’s nice about the cover bands is it’s a smaller venue uh so uh generally they’re in the Elks Theater uh audiences you know 400 people maybe yeah something like that uh beautiful historic building and the cover bands generally are good they’re very good I mean astonishingly good yeah we just went to go see a cover band for Janice Joplin yeah Janice Joplin amazing she was good it was good uh we saw the Eagles the Eagles cover band they don’t call themselves The Eagles then I would call it like we saw it like Carol King was tapestry yeah yeah yeah you know we also saw Carol King that was another good one she was amazing yeah I thought she and her group were amazing the Eagles were really really good really good though our oldest daughter was like really we’re gonna see Eagles he’s like no yeah adjust your aren’t one of those guys did he was all excited but excited after she saw the show she was equally as excited we had a good time Dancing Yeah up in the balcony yeah which we’re not supposed to yeah I was corrected after I was severely reprimanded you’re not allowed to dance in the in the upper balcony only the lower yeah unless you have a walker I guess I’m falling over the side I don’t know but we had a good time anyway they seem to be having a really good time yes so uh but anyway you can also dance on the bottom floor and they do and part of the part of the presentation part of the entertainment is the audience yep a few great dancers yeah some great dancers some Usual Suspects there’s a a couple that will go out they are obviously very well trained yeah and beautiful dancers oh yeah yeah uh there’s a guy who just kind of hangs on the edge of the uh that’s right the stage and just kind of stares he likes to have fun yeah that’s what he does I like to dance uh yeah you know especially after a lot of wine I think I’m the greatest dancer in the world after video footage I realize I’m not but in the moment I have a good time I hate that yeah anyway yeah we have fun yeah great tickets good time go out and have a nice dinner before at any of the restaurants really surround round in the square and then you can walk right over to the Elks and have some good live music and dancing really good so we have a great time we love it we love it we love it highly enough of the cover bands yeah we’ve got really good luck with that travel here to Prescott yeah so we hope to see you there maybe one day One Day concert there all right so that’s our tip for today if you want more tips whether it’s about living in Prescott or real estate or anything really anything to do with breastfeed life in general you want to chit chat you wanna just Chit Chat go to pickle411.com that is our free information site lots of good tips there uh very informative and entertaining and just astounding people from all over the world they just you know love our love our lovers all over the world all over the world I don’t know about that I don’t know there might be one or two I think so I don’t think we introduced ourselves in the beginning yeah we’re Randall and Diane she’s a pickle like that’s right in case we didn’t do that yes we didn’t do that this is Randall and Diane bro live here in Prescott yeah no editing Here I Am the pickle lady we are with exp Realty and we are excited to share our beautiful Hometown with you and possibly help you find your new home here all right go see a cover Batman or go see a cover band with you yeah either way just let us know we’re easy we’re fun we’re open cheers have a great day thanks for listening bye bye

One of our very favorite outings is Jazz Night at Prescott's historic Elks Theater.  The series covers a different style or element of jazz each night.  The music and the players are amazing, and the venue is always a delight.  If you go, you'll probably see us there, because we try to make them all!

hello hello hello oh peeps that’s what I’m doing what’s that oh oh jazz hands jazz hands yeah you’re more like Mickey Mouse yeah yeah there you go so for those of you whose children were in theater it was hours work oh we’re a dance you’re very familiar with jazz hands oh yeah so I thought that would be a good intro a good opening to talk about jazz night jazz nights at the Elks Theater I was theater we love it so uh during the covid um they uh they couldn’t use the big theater because there were too many people you know I’d see too many people so they started using a smaller venue which is on the third floor and uh people kind of like the smaller venue too it’s more intimate and it’s kind of like a summer Club but yeah we don’t have supper but you do have wine and um and you can sit and listen to beautiful music yeah yeah so uh they had a jazz series yes uh which I I assume that they will continue again or they’ll have other types of music there uh we must have gone at least a half dozen times oh yeah and you go it’s it’s uh I’d say a couple hours a couple of hours and you can see live jazz performed I mean you are like within feet right there yeah of the of the musicians and just amazing and If These Guys these guys are just the real with the guys yeah what’s his first name Sama put you on the spot yeah uh it’s the vax band yeah he’s amazing oh my goodness Max is in the old IBM computer guys who have obviously been there and done that yes and been doing Jazz for a very very long time just amazing sometimes they will have every Jazz night with something different Mike bags good job I have the heart listen it’s the end of the day we’re a little tired so please forgive me forgive me yes forgive us like because we love him he’s amazing he always has music for sale as well which we love to buy and listen to we’re in our car yeah um but every he heads it up and every uh Jazz night is something different one might be South American Jazz one might be music from the movies Jazz uh one might be New Orleans style jazz I had no idea there were so many different flavors of jazz but I have been taught yeah and stone the latinum that was your favorite but all of them were good and they were just so good so we want everyone to know that Prescott has culture people absolutely we are a pretty you know educated people here who love music who love museums who love art uh we’ve got a pretty big artsy scene here in our little town you wouldn’t think so but we do and it’s lovely now if you’re if you’re looking to do dinner and then music after a couple of tips first of all you need to know if there’s going to be a show in the big theater if there’s a show at the same time in the big theater uh then restaurants right around the square because the Elks Theater is like a couple of blocks from the square uh restaurants that are really close to the Elks Theater are probably going to be kind of packed yes not not terribly but you might want to go a little bit further afield there are plenty of other restaurants to choose from uh but for jazz night the Jazz venue is so small that really we didn’t have trouble I think we did the Hacienda right across the street one night we just went right across the street eye around the corner a couple of nights and had no trouble getting a table Waltz right in it’s just a just a great time the music it’s kind of old-fashioned like in the olden days your folks used to go have dinner at a supper club and watch some entertainment yeah it’s very similar here wow that’s very nice better though yeah because uh you know the thing is uh Prescott draws on uh the Phoenix market so they have musicians that do very well Regional world-class musicians uh you know they make their way up from Phoenix for our little events and you would be astounded at how good the music is these are World Travelers uh well seasoned musicians that have been around the world performing so um it’s nice it’s not going to be like your nephew who’s just learning how to play the trumpet yeah not like a high school recital this is amazing yeah and just hearing the stories they tell about Jack oh yeah I mean we don’t really stop to think about how new jazz is it’s you know barely 100 years old and it has changed so much and going through so many different Evolutions uh and just hearing people who lived it tell you the story yes and about people that uh you know the the big names of jazz and how they played with them and the stories absolutely that’s fascinating very inspirational so if you’re into music uh if you’re into fine dining and then going to music Prescott is the town for you it’s kind of got it all people yeah it really does it’s really nice really really nice um so we just wanted to share with you I want to have a shout out to Mike vatz and we so appreciated all of the Jazz series that we attended it was just a great time and we look forward to him coming back yes absolutely yeah absolutely hello hello hello hello Diane and Randall bro here uh I am the pickle Lady of Prescott Arizona this is the uh my better half part of the pickle team Randall James that’s right and we are here to talk to you about something exciting that’s our uh brokerage has every year so about a year ago a little over a year ago uh we switched to a brokerage called exp uh exp Realty yep uh we’re not sure what exp stands for and people but I like it it’s cool yeah expensive expressive you know exp a lot of good words begin with ESP sure expect this like explain no just I’m trying trying to explain what exp is okay great brokerage great brokerage with a completely different concept on how real estate has done a lot of real estate brokerages spend their money on brick and mortar exp does not we are a technology driven firm we are not broken out by state we have one brokerage for the whole world no franchises no franchises okay National an internationally owned firm yeah it’s super cool yeah so uh as I said we’ve been there for about a year it’s working great and uh they have wonderful events yep uh so we wanted to talk about one of the events that we went to this this just this past summer yes we never did get around to talking about it so here we are yes uh so we went to the shareholders event in Orlando Florida over the summer and had a wonderful time very just very impressive um you know absolutely the best of the best speakers yeah really wonderful speakers uh you know they bring in people who really know what’s going on in real estate and around the world uh talking about the future of the firm the future of real estate it was just it’s very inspiring very inspiring one of the really cool things about the event they uh they rented out all uh well one of the points at Universal Studios yes so uh I don’t know how many people we have but it was a pretty small group to be given free reign free the bad thing is we learned can’t do roller coaster it was great and I love them but even I at the end I was like a little wonky after that you know what I think I’m reaching that age I was a little disappointed around too much but they had a uh we went through the green gets Bank yeah uh the Harry Potter ride the Harry they have a different Harry Potter ride than Universal Studios out in California so we had recently done that and uh so we went through the Harry Potter ride uh several times because you can just walk through lovely lovely they are first class uh brokerage 100 first class brokerage uh every state has their own online Arizona Brokers that they can access everything is through the world the EXP world it’s all on the computer so if you are a really tech savvy person you will just slide right into this yeah about brokerage and love it yeah and we have instant access to any Arizona Brokers that we need yeah we just go you know no waiting for oh the broker’s not in town or the broker’s not in the office leave a message not here so we’re just excited about it uh you may not have heard of our brokerage if you’re not a real estate agent there’s a good I just want to let you know that they have your back are broken yes world class and they are up and coming and we are very proud of them a 88 000 yeah realtor strong that’s right yeah so if you need help in another state uh we can hook you up with somebody with other people yes if you are a real estate agent and you’d like to learn more about exp it is something to say about that uh so just wanted to let you know you are on Solid ground with us and exp yeah and share some of the fun that we had at our shareholder event yeah um so it was a great time good times we’re happy to be with uh this brokerage had taught have learned and been taught so many good things and just delighted to be here and delighted to have them as our broker to represent you yeah and uh so yeah we are we’re excited about our new world yeah so we just wanted to understand he’s getting ready to go to Vegas next week yeah we have another event coming up today you know we don’t have an office everything is virtual um so they try to have events where people can be face to face which is nice so um so we just wanted to share that little bit of Gossip we thought it was cool yeah absolutely and we wanted to share what a good experience we’re having and we hope we bring that to you yeah as we represent you always sharing lots of stuff the place to find it all is pickle411.com that is our information site everything’s free everything is fascinating and highly entertaining you’ll love it all so check it out okay wow that was a lot yeah there you go you like that yeah I do good job good job all right have a wonderful day all right take care bye

So the last thing you need is a real estate agent using high-pressure tactics to move you forward when you're not really comfortable.  It doesn't have to be that way. you stress me so much I lose my voice it’s what you do oh my gosh okay hello hello hello peeps it’s right in my ear yeah feeling good I see that I’m feeling good about the peeps that are here punch you in your throat don’t scream in my ear all right this is Diana Randall bro here coming to you live Arizona as live as it can get yeah they took the stakes out of our heart and brought us back to life that’s right we are live as you just heard we are quite live yeah here to talk about pressure selling oh yeah so real estate agents are notorious among you know used car sales people and you know and I hate to be like high pressure high pressure and a lot of people think because we are real estate agents that we we are high pressure people yeah we are not we are not and uh we come from the fashion School of uh what’s the word phrase school of thought school of living School of the philosophy of life I don’t know I don’t know having bought several homes ourselves don’t appreciate high pressure I feel like when you see a home you like when I’m representing the buyer it should hit on all cylinders if you have any doubt we the pickle team here will never pressure you yeah that’s not what it’s about well it’s it’s about counterproductive and here’s the thing I mean if we really came at you and did the high pressure thing and forced you into a transaction that wasn’t meant to be that’s right it doesn’t matter how fast you try to make it happen real estate transactions take weeks right so you’ll have second thoughts if you mean you’ll have second thoughts it’s honestly totally no point at it that’s right and it falls apart um at the end and so you end up you know buyer’s remorse you walk away no one’s happy the seller isn’t happy you’re unhappy um so the best thing you know that we believe is when you’re excited and you feel right we are there for you every step of the way we’re going to try to make it happen uh present the best offer we possibly can and keep our fingers crossed that the other agent will present the way we present you know and um absolutely and we do the same thing for our sellers absolutely uh you know sellers generally sell you know listing agreements listing contracts if you get a listing agent you’ve signed a contract and they really want to hold you to it which again we think is sort of silly uh but some will and they’ll force you to stay with them you know otherwise you can’t you can’t sell your house into your contracts up uh if someone is is pressuring you to sign a contract or buy something that you’re not sure about or just moving faster than you’re comfortable stop stop I did just don’t it shouldn’t be this high pressure there’s no huge rush we’ve been on many listing appointments and uh some of the fellow you know sellers are like I I just I felt so pressured yeah and I I didn’t like that I felt very uncomfortable but I had to sign that afternoon right after a 30 minute meeting yeah we don’t believe in that no we’re going to give it to you we’re going to give it to you straight we’re going to chat with you we’re going to be up front we’re going to be honest and we’re going to let you sit on that overnight a couple of days whatever it takes think about everything that’s been presented yeah this is the most important financial decision you will ever make yeah you shouldn’t be pressured to buy or list your home yeah under any circumstances it is not very comfortable you need to be a part of the process because the thing is right we are going to be in a little relationship whether we’re selling or whether we’re helping you buy and we will be working together closely hand in hand for up to six weeks if you don’t have a good vibe with your agent and you don’t feel comfortable or you don’t feel heard or you don’t feel um like you can chat with them about concerns they’re not responsive that’s a long time to be under contract with somebody um so you know we’re no pressure yeah we’re low pressure we just feel like you know what if we connect we connect we can assure you 100 if we decide to work with us you are going to get the best representation you can ever have we are available we answer the phone all weekend we answer the phones up to 10 o’clock at night if you’re worried you’re scared something hot happens you know catastrophic we’re here for you to walk you through it and that’s how we roll and I was what’s the point of Happiness yeah yeah that’s kind of the role that we play absolutely one thing I should point out too there’s a good reason why salespeople in general real estate agents specifically use eye pressure tactics they work sometimes at least sometimes they work the high pressure tactics high pressure tactics sure so here’s the thing it’s a little bullying to me it’s bullying don’t worry don’t reward the kind of behavior that you don’t want yes same thing with telemarketers you know if you don’t like any telemarketing calls don’t buy anything from a telemarketer right because as soon as you do the world will get out and more people will call you don’t reward the behavior that you’re looking to stop we want to work together as a team with you whether you’re listing or whether you’re buying we want to be a team we almost become a mini family uh many many of our dearest friends started out as clients yeah absolutely and we like to connect with you not just in a business level but you know let’s get to know each other let’s understand each other let’s understand how you operate under pressure and vice versa we try to keep everything calm cool and collected for you during a very stressful time there’s no doubt about it and we try to make it fun and we do so if you meet with us we are super uber Luber Luber low pressure low pressure low pressure low pressure we are never going to make a hard sell on you we’re never going to say oh my gosh you have to do this or it’s over never never if you make a con Justified decisions chances are you going to pick us absolutely we don’t you know we want you to be comfortable we want you to feel confident and you will get the 100 if not more from us so don’t put up with that stuff don’t don’t put up with that stuff high pressure down thumbs down throw them out throw them out we’re here to help you and yeah and maybe have a little fun along the way as well and get you to the finish line which is the most important part not only to the finish line but to the Finish Line in a happy relaxed confident that the job’s going to get done situation that’s right you you know very nimbly making my way down there all right is that Nimble that’s as Nimble as I get hello hello hello Randall and Diane bro here on a beautiful fall afternoon yes it is we are loving life life is good hope it’s good for you as well we’re having fun to meet with you and talk about various topics various topics real estate plus life is General life in general life impressive life in general so this is one of our favorite uh little restaurants that we go to yeah restaurants are you changing your I think there’s a little girl trying to are you are you changed yeah I you going through beavers I think so changing somehow people always like our restaurant reviews so this is a restaurant review we’ve been talking about doing this for a long time yes been a big fan actually we just never kind of got around to it so we love it they’re amazing yeah um and it’s all about you try to guess you won’t guess outlawed Donuts Outlaw Donuts so the alcohol is like a western kind of a western thing you have guns all over wanted posters and that kind of thing but uh yeah you don’t have to dress up as Cowboys don’t get in there but uh evidently the guy who owns it it was like a pastry chef yeah he’s an amazing Chef the most amazing donuts yeah whenever the kids come in town they always have to hit Outlaw Donuts uh we’ll eat a couple of donuts and then we immediately have to take another nap because yeah they are so delicious and Rich it’s like the perfect nap food they probably they have like glazed donuts sort of regular Donuts you’re going to go and get a dozen donuts I’m sure they’re good but the kind of donuts that we buy we they have specialty donors yeah so you don’t buy a dozen of those no no you would die no so we love the delicious chocolate covered donut with and without with and without coconut coconut I like it without nothing like it though with a I mean little donut with a cup of coffee uh ready for a nice little nap after that it’s wonderful because their cake Donuts are good they’ve got a lot of uh you know like uh specialty specialty Donuts I know they’re bacon covered yeah maple glazed bacon covered uh sort of a um it’s not shaped like a donut it’s more shaped like a hot dog bun kind of like an eclair yeah they have what else what else do we love uh Apple Critters bear claws bear claws as big as his head and that’s a big head that’s a big head yeah that’s a big claw not a big Club but he has a big head there’s claws about a bit as big as my head [Music] do you like the Apple yeah the apple fritters are my favorite I I believe they have other kinds of fertiles uh apples are apples my favorite but uh they do have others a lot of different kinds of cake Donuts I’m a big fan of cake Donuts just plain glazed is amazing uh but I think they also have like blueberry you name it they have it they also have um breakfast burritos burritos yeah breakfast um they have a lot of nice little extra burrito uh breakfast type foods I should say yeah besides just donuts so it’s really like um uh Gourmet Donuts okay Gourmet Donuts yeah uh the other good thing is I mean so Saturday Sunday I mean they might have a line you know out the door that’s how good they are uh the exciting thing is they also have a food truck so for our folks who live down in Prescott Valley you don’t have to drive all the way in to go to the storefront they will have the same stuff at their food truck right on glassford Hill yeah right right at glassford Hill okay across 69 from Glasper Hill big panel truck kind of hard yeah and it will say Outlaw donuts and then the good thing is that we’re super psyched they’re also taking over the space next to their store Friday yeah uh I can’t think of the can’t think of the name of the stream it’s right around the corner from uh the square yeah just a couple of blocks yeah uh they’ve got a new storefront that they are developing and they’re going to have a new Little Deli so I can’t wait to see what that’s going to be all about because deli’s half as good as the donuts right oh yeah yeah so it’s a special treat when the kids come in from out of town we always make an Outlaw Run yeah everybody’s we don’t plan much of anything for them don’t plan much about it it’s going to be a chill it’s gonna be a chill day that’s well worth it but it is so worth it yeah so that is our little plugs and now we love you guys and uh we look forward to the next visit when we get some uh some more of those Bavarian cream filled donuts and when you take your first bite of that Bavarian green donut you think of pickling think of us we sent you yeah we sent you your way and for all you people who do they get any any plug let me tell you let me plug this out goodness of our hearts all of these restaurants come on we don’t get any Kickbacks for this folks this is the joy of talking about a good feeling good people we know that’s right and it uh fills our heart with love to share all the good stuff and all the great little restaurants here in our lovely Town yeah because around my heart’s all I’ve been very clean it is uh we’re having a little blockage no so far so good though everything in moderation everything Falling into Halloween

hello hello hello my fellow pickle peeps hello peeps we’re so excited why are we excited Randall we’re excited because Summer is dying yes it’s actually it’s gone to rest we’re actually in Fall happy fall y’all be fall y’all happy fall y’all my favorite phrase summers are not really that bad here no not not at all so much better than where we used to live but you know fall and winter I love so much more so yes every time it’s and this this summer was actually uh we had a great amazing season yeah I named the best August of my life it was nice and rainy and cool that’s a big comment the best August of your life well I’m August they’re probably the worst month of the year when you’re living in I think it was the best because that’s my birthday well yeah yeah it starts off the thing it goes downhill from that I checked but I’m not but anyway birthday treat there is that what we’re talking about I don’t know but yeah so now we’re at fall and we’re gonna pass that up completely we’re going to talk about fall so we just got back from La Quinta California yes we’ll have more to say about that in a future episode but yeah suffice to say like he took California right outside Palm Springs still super hot and we were kind of melting beautiful beautiful but can’t do the heat anymore people can’t do the heat we’re so glad to get back and fall was falling fall is falling we had a great time yeah and uh you know we’re very happy uh to be back we’ve decorated for our favorite holiday [Music] so although Halloween is not celebrated uh as it is in most of your neighborhoods probably where the kids come to your door yeah we don’t have trick-or-treating our neighborhoods here we do not uh Prescott is very unique they have everyone gather all the children in town uh go to Mount Vernon and they have special all the homes there the historical homes decorate for Halloween and all the kiddos the streets blocked off lit up the police are there they go from house to house there only on Mount Vernon it’s really interesting it’s really cool they’re very old tradition started back in the old west when they used to round the children up to sacrifice them on Mount Vernon but now they don’t now don’t even say that yeah so somebody out there is going to think that’s true yeah that is not true we are a retirement town so when you do see a child it is a little it’s a good luck yeah it’s good luck you need to try to catch them rub their head yeah rub they’re building something so you get some of that you can thank you they’ll tell you where their pot of gold is that’s right so it’s always special yeah Halloween is lovely yeah they do they uh they block off about three three blocks of Mount Vernon which is the old historical City yep kind of the centerpiece and all the old homes or at least most of them are decorated to the nines the fun people the fun people of which we have great friends yes shout out to Kathy and Harvey yep always have the best Halloween party ever the best Halloween decorations live music so if you are here for Halloween come down Mount Vernon we’ll be there at our friend’s house enjoying all the spectacular events that they hold on that day unclear what we’re going to it’s a good time that’ll be fun good times so and we hand out candy to everyone about 3 000 kids will dress straight up and down Mount Vernon not to be missed so also if you’re new to the area and maybe you don’t want to go out on Halloween itself because it all you know traffic and kids and this that and the other always just walk down there a week before it’s a beautiful walk it’s lovely and you can see all the decorations without all the crowds that’s right I’ll leave it up to you absolutely beautiful you will miss a good party and fun and music and you might see us waving at you thinking about coming to Prescott is a good time absolutely so always fall into Halloween here in Prescott not to be missed and very very unique absolutely and we thoroughly enjoy it every year another good tip if you like tips the place to go is pickle411.com there you’ll find our free information site yes all kinds of wonderful information where to get the best treats on Halloween and restaurants and just all kinds of stuff all right all free and good stuff for you all good stuff fun stuff fun stuff we try to bring it all to you people yes we do and share the wealth of knowledge that we have about life here in Prescott that’s right so we hope you appreciate it and uh if you’re here for Halloween come on by and wave pass by at our little party we’re not sure what our costumes will be at but we’ll be there having fun so cheers to you wherever you are and uh Happy fall wherever you are enjoy the Beautiful the beautiful weather that comes our way Come fall season come fall season that’s right camel can’t fall is falling can’t beat it and press it I’ll tell you that much it’s our favorite cheers and I hope to hear from you soon take care

Magic of Photography

In real estate, the definition of a good photographer is someone who can make something look better than it is.  Whether it's the agent's photo on a for-sale sign or the shag carpet in the bonus room, what you see may not be what you get.  

And as a seller, if you think your home can compete these days without decent photography, guess again!  

In this episode, we share our thoughts on the magic of real estate photography and the first impressions it makes in the marketplace.

hello hello hello hello hello peeps how’s it going out there here with pickle lady Diane bro realtor yep I’m psychic skunk Pig Randall you’re supporting her in any way that I can sometimes it depends on the day it depends on what she needs help with correct yeah true uh we are here today to talk about the magic of Photography magic or real estate photography real estate Photography in general I think all of us are familiar with filters lighting Etc what you see folks is not always what you get uh as you you know not that I’ve been on those dating websites but if you are sometimes you meet up and you’re like really yeah or my favorite is just look at a real realtor’s uh business cards yeah the business card they’re the sales signs yeah yeah those photographers magic they work their magic fading and switching total baby switch and the same thing when you are selling your home selling your home if you do not have a great photographer or great pictures it’s doing a huge disservice yes it’s not representing your home in its best light no pun intended uh so you have to be really careful you have to make sure you’ve got great photos of your home represented in its best all of the best features yes sunlight sunsets backyards drone shots yes you know uh aerial shots yes you really need to have somebody the pictures selling your house is a process and one of the very first steps is enticing someone into being interested in your home and that’s what the photography does if you have bad photography they’re going to fly right through it just cancel the listing and you know what else it’s not going to happen fellow agents who are house hunting for you will be like ah this one hasn’t looked so good and they’ll pass on it yeah um that is your first first impression both to yourself as well as to fellow Realtors who were looking for their buyers and stuff so always make sure uh let’s review the photos with your listing agent make sure to say can I see them first before uh make sure it’s up to your standards make sure it shows all of the best features of your home only you know what’s the best feature you live in it that’s right you know a photographer may come in and not know at four o’clock the sunset or five is amazing yeah um so make sure you fully communicate with the photographer so we can get the best shots possible and review say may I see them before you go live yes you should you should take a look look at them just make sure that if you were a buyer these pictures would make you want to would this draw you in would you be like wow that kitchen’s beautiful I’ve got to see that house yeah just just a a point that’s important I think it’s the photography in your MLS listing is not there to give you a tour of the home it doesn’t necessarily have to be comprehensive the function of the photos is to make people interested in the house and want to see it draw you in to draw you in that looks interest you’re looking for that that’s it you don’t have to have a picture of the toilet they know you have a toilet I I can’t say hi to MLS how many pictures of toilets and especially a toilet with the seat up oh my God yeah please now I have never seen a buyer see a picture of a toilet I gotta go see that one that is I’ve never made one of those crazy Japanese boys absolutely you have a standard even if it’s a high toilet you know those toilets that powder your bottom and everything else hell yeah I’m all about it [Music] so you know try to get someone who will represent your home and and it’s in its best light and for the buyer’s side you need to understand that a lot of times pictures are not what the home doesn’t look the way the pictures do yeah and that can be a positive thing or negative thing sometimes you see uh pictures they look wonderful hey kudos to the photographer right uh but you need to get somebody in there to see it in person and give you feedback so a lot of times absolutely the homes don’t come out uh are not as good as that you would think there are a couple of photographers who are Michael very good yeah they are amazing magic they’re Wizards and and vice versa so we’ve seen a lot of MLS listings where obviously the real estate agent just pulled out a phone and snapped a few yeah a few pictures that are not well lit they haven’t been photoshopped and make them nice and bright uh they just don’t look good yep and uh we’ll go see those too yeah and if we find a home that is really beautiful and the photography is not good on it guess what we tell our buyers move fast move fast coming low and let’s get this under contract before everyone else figures out sometimes it’s just not represented and that’s a boon to you so we love to go preview first and uh like I said so always be opened and don’t sometimes you see a house here like this is it I love everything about it I love the look of this house I love this and then we go see it you need to trust that we’re going to tell you the truth yeah those were amazing photos but you don’t want to be you don’t want to do it and we’ll do a walk through video too really hard to figure a walk through video yeah you do a walk-through video and you like what you see that you’re you’re basically seeing what you say as you walked in the hallway yeah some people are like no but I really really like it I’m like that’s fine let’s go through it you need to see it in person to get a better understanding perhaps since on a busy road perhaps it’s uh backs up to something you may not want to live or look and you don’t see it in the photos so keep your mind open don’t get your heart set on but that is the perfect house based on the pictures yeah it looks like hell and the pickle lady says no this is a good one yeah watch the walk-through video watch it you’re gonna love it so that’s our little tip for you people out there who are thinking about listing uh hopefully if you list with us we will share all the photos and let you see but always ask whoever you’re working with may I see first what’s happening and if you’re not happy demand better pictures that’s right because that can be how quick or how long your house takes to sell that’s right very important and if you’re a buyer know that some of these pictures it’s a lot of magic involved and I don’t want to don’t don’t set your heart on one home just based on the photos that’s hello hello hello this is Diane and Randall bro Randall who said it best Diane and Randall bro you don’t know my name yet I said Randall it just came out weird about it I like the way that came out but anyway that’s right very sexy yeah my former life has come out I am reincarnated reincarnated that’s what the fortune teller said I believe it I don’t know why I just believe it there are days here to talk about moving sales today this is my new favorite thing we love doing this something as a full service concierge yes real estate team yes that we provide and we love doing it it’s a great time yeah when you sell your house it’s not just about selling your house obviously you go to a realtor to help you sell your house but selling your house is just part of a process they got a lot of stuff that has to happen yep all part of that and one of them besides crying as you’re packing up yeah all the packing and everything is you may have some things that you want to donate you may have some things you want to sell yes so a lot of our sellers they like to have a moving sale they like to see some of their favorite pieces go to people they know in the neighborhood or just just somebody nice so moving sales is something to make a little extra money you just make sure that some of those special things that you’re not going to have room for anymore go to someone I mean as you know when you move especially if you’ve been somewhere a while you are probably downsizing and you need to divest divest the best of your belongings what do you do what do you do so we as part of our service we like to help you uh set up a moving sale yes so we will come over we like to work on the porch or wherever your garage uh help you the day of the sale we will promote it on all of our websites we will promote it to you directly to Realtors we will uh put it on all the signage uh we will promote the hell out of it yeah we do we do and uh arrange for so we started doing this a while it’s just so so successful so much fun and uh our sellers really appreciated the neighbors really appreciate it yes yeah it’s just a very positive experience so it’s become just part of our stick now it is just a matter of course we ask people do you want a moving sale we’re help we we bring our own we have large conference tables yeah that we bring over we share with you we help you set it up uh when it’s all said and done we uh try to help if you’re ready to load it up and go donate it for anything you’re not taking with you that maybe hasn’t sold I mean we do it all we’ve even had to rent a U-Haul truck for some some yeah and uh load it up and take it over to Goodwill yeah we did some some things that we were left with we brought over a lot of people yeah so we listen people what basically what we’re saying is this is full service this is full service we don’t just put a sign in your yard and say see ya and we’ll let you know when you get a contract yeah there’s a lot we know we get that and we’re going to help you with everything we possibly and it’s really just speaking from our own experience when we moved from Texas oh my gosh we had so much stuff we didn’t even know where to start and what to do and how to handle it and so a lot of our what we offer to our clients is just from our own personal experience and so we find the moving sales very effective of course I always have my pickles that I hand out yep and you never know who might come to your moving sale right and a lot of people come from Vehicles well they do but you know I didn’t end up buying something so it’s that’s fine then they end up you know either buying your stuff or they’re like uh you know maybe they might even be interested in your house you never know another quid pro quo here is that the pick lady and I have first dibs on your stuff yes thank you we basically purchases we get some good swag some good stuff lovely lovely and we’re like yeah can we could I buy this instead sure so yeah it’s a lot of fun and you know we just kind of sit on the porch and you really get to become good friends with your sellers and we it’s just a good find something good bonding so anyway if you are looking about listing look thinking about listing or selling uh keep that in mind we’re happy to help you with everything sale or whatever help you may need I mean we are truly Hands-On so moving sales is a good tip well if you’re looking for other good tips place to go is pickle411.com our free information site uh in particular you might want to check out if you’re a seller you might want to check out our seller’s Corner which is all the stuff that we have that’s specifically for sellers so I hope to hear from you soon and uh always stop by our moving sale I’ll have pickles for you for you all right take care have a wonderful evening bye

hello hello hello hello hello hello hello peeps I felt a song coming up yeah I was thinking Age of Aquarius kind of somebody here is teaching himself the piano so yeah all night long I hear the 80s Aquarius over and over and over it’s been great there is aligning with Mars that’s what they say this is Diana Randall bro here in Prescott I am your local pickle lady I always have pickles on me so in fact yesterday I’d say this I was at the gas station and three guys came up to the van I have to be honest I was a little alarmed at first I was like hey can I I was they just showed up and they’re like do you have pickles and I relaxed and I said I sure do and they’re like do you really I said I sure do so if you see me in my van which has pickles emblazoned all over it I always carry pickles with me and I’m happy to share them with anybody even at the gas station she produces about five gallons of pickles a month that’s right and we actually one of the things on the calendar every month is the recycle production restock the cars with Pickles that’s right so anyway happy to share but uh and that’s that’s just all in as we call in a size this is an assignment that’s what we call it in the biz In The Biz this is inside yeah but anyway uh so uh this is Randall and Diane bro here your local agents uh Elena she’s speculating and I am also the pickle lady I I wear both hats and I enjoy wearing both hats uh so we wanted to talk today a little bit something about something called good names good neighboring something important you need to understand about the city of Prescott yes is that city of Prescott is a small neighborly Town yes and the whole idea I remember years ago there was a insurance company and their slogan was like a good neighbor State Farm is there a State Farm full yeah State Farm yeah okay uh there was a company there was a company name which is a great whoever did that advertising great slogan great slogan yes the only problem is people have lost the concept of a good neighbor yeah so they had to change their they had to change their marketing because nobody knows what that means I know well I hope it’s still alive and well it’s still are very much alive and well in Prescott and so I kind of wanted to give everybody a little education when you’re moving here and particularly if you’re coming from a big city or a big metropolitan area you’re used to get congestion and traffic and your walls are up in Europe you’re always on the defense and you’re you know there isn’t um that one-on-one contact because you’re afraid somebody might you know jump you or something yeah yeah when you move to Prescott leave all of that behind in the big city don’t need to do that here um if you have a problem with a neighbor here you don’t need to immediately go to homeco or your HOA company yeah you don’t need to immediately or call the cops or anything like that we are a sweet still laid-back yeah gentle little town you know people you can nicely go knock on the door and say hey can I talk to you about something yeah and um everybody here is pretty chill yeah uh provided you don’t go in with guns blazing and your calm cool and collected most people here are very receptive and kind and say oh my goodness thank you for sharing this with me I didn’t know and I’m going to work with you on whatever the issue may be well it has a little warning here too if you do go in guns blazing and call the police or oh yeah your HOA or whatever for being a good neighbor your your well is going to get poisoned like we again we are a small town yes and word spreads fast yes so if you do something like you move in and three weeks later you’re reporting somebody if you’re brand new head out yeah and that’s it then you’re the difficult that’s your brand that’s right so here’s the thing when you move when you do that usually when you move in neighborhoods here people have been here a number of years so we all have established relationships we’re all neighborly if you’re the new kid on the Block and you’re only here two or three weeks and you’re already starting to complain about somebody and Reporting them or calling the police it’s not going to be good for you you’re going to be labeled that new difficult neighbor who came from the big city yeah you don’t want that reputation you don’t want it and you don’t need it chances are you’re going to come here you’re not knowing anyone that’s right I want to develop some friends not a good person not a good first step so to all of our folks moving from big cities from all over Washington California uh Oregon we’ve got people from New Jersey you know what we’re chill here it’s chill why you want to be here that’s why you came here yeah yeah so we just want to give you a little public service uh information so that you you get started on the right foot absolutely take that first right step uh no need to do all that and of course we certainly don’t want to talk about suing and all that oh no we don’t do that here we’re chill uh Prescott’s Uber chilled yeah yeah nice small town friendly people will respectfully listen um and try to help you out and make adjustments if they need to for whatever you’re having an issue with hopefully a good tip a good tip so just want to let you know leave your big city ways we had to do it too we came from a big city and we really Renting First

Moving to a new town for a new life is a big, bold move.  Lots of our clients consider renting first... kind of like putting a toe in the water before diving in.  In this episode, we explore this option and share lots of good tips and some pitfalls to avoid.

hello hello hello beeps this is Diane bro your fellow pickle lady and this is my pickle peep Randall bro Mr sidekick Mr sidekick pickle ladies sidekick uh love to meet all kinds of new folks and make your dreams come true that’s right so what we get a lot of questions about is I’ve sold my house I’m not sure where I want to go maybe I’ll rent first and that is that can be a very sensible logical step to take uh but I must let you know if that’s what you have in your pocket you think I’m just going to rent first and then I’ll find uh you should know right now Rancho properties are pretty hard to find yes in Prescott um just to give you a heads up uh they are a lot of them are already taken up we’ve got a lot of new building going on so there are a lot of homes that are being rented out for up to two years now the speculating has inside scoop on some places uh but just as a general warning it’s hard to find good rentals it’s very hard to find a good rental yeah and the thing to remember is um there are very few that will allow you to go month to month yeah it’s gonna I know one person which I’m happy to share when you call me um but for the most part they want a minimum six month lease yeah if not most of them want a year yeah so keep that in mind if you think I’ll just rent a place for three months and then I’ll find my dream home and buy that may not work out for you that’s right because most of them are not month to month and most of the these may not be where you want to stay that’s right um although there are some great rental properties out there you should be aware it’s a little harder to find a great outstanding rental that you would want to live in that will only give you six months most of them uh one at least a year so keep that in mind it’s a little bit harder to find because we have had a lot of new construction so people have grabbed up those great rentals and they’re staying put while their homes are being finished you might have better luck with Airbnb yes and kind of the fault the ultimate fallback is just to run a sweep yes you can go like to a residency yeah like a Residence Inn something like that again if you can find availability uh you can get a better deal if you rent a month at a time yes uh in terms of finding a new home it’s not going to take you six months to find no if you are ready to buy uh you know a couple of months tops and you you’ll probably be ready to go uh yeah it’s it’s hard to find rentals a lot of people have the same idea yep if you haven’t really decided that Prescott is your city then uh yeah you don’t want to commit to six months you know you want it’s a lot plus it’s two moves yeah who wants to move and put everything in storage here and then pay for all the storage and then have another move and hire people to move you into your home so lots of things to think about when it comes to renting a little harder to find the logistics of it all the move of it all it can add a lot of extra expense yeah so things to all keep in mind I am very happy to share a number of rental companies that I can refer you to that perhaps they can help you find that place if that’s really what you want to do happy to do that and um so just keep that in mind though a little bit harder to find there is a lot of extra expense to moves yeah when we moved here we thought about renting and I thought oh dear God I can’t do another move yeah let me just find my place and move right in and jump in and just um you know start my life yeah so that’s what we did yeah I would recommend a one-two punch and that’s what we did your first bunch is come here and spend some time here yep uh I would say a week you know uh usually I mean we people come in for tours and by the end of the day like this place is amazing so it’s not going to take you that long to make yourself decision not at all um so that’s your first punch once you know that you want to move to press it the next time you come if you’re ready to buy a call the pickle lady we will get you an amazing property and we’ll we’ll be able to make that happen to you so you have a nice smooth and easy transaction use it easy yeah don’t absolutely don’t do too much yeah but if you really want to I’ll try to help you and provide some names and hopefully you can find a great job yeah absolutely depends on availability all right just wanted to let you know rentals are not a dime a dozen here no so keep that in mind um because I don’t want you to be caught like I thought I could just rent and then you find out otherwise it’s a little harder that’s right hello hello peeps hello hello hello lady here diane bro i’m randall bro we’re realtors in prescott arizona coming at you live well right now we’re live recorded live we’re alive as we speak and we are alive and breathing yes that’s good that’s a good thing anything off right is a good day that’s right if you wake up and you’re breathing it’s looking good folks looking good looking good so we’re here to share one of our favorite nighttime spots with you although i think they open at four o’clock yeah and it’s called the point called the point the point it is probably the best bar in the city oh they make great cocktails yeah i mean in terms of just the mixology thing yes uh the bartenders bartenders there are probably the most advanced they are i mean there might be a couple of other places that are just as good but i mean certainly one of the best they are cool they’re sharp um they have all kinds of specialty cocktails all those cool smoked drinks oh yeah they do all this they do it i mean they are mixology at its finest yes is that the point now the thing about this place is that they don’t let the entryway fool you it’s very uh speak easy very it’s kind of obscure it’s kind of like where’s the entrance yeah it’s kind and then you kind of go down yeah so you go into this little you know you go down the stairs and there it goes and they let you in and it’s not just like right off the main drag and you just walk in through the front door it’s a little hidden yeah and um but it’s lovely you get in there it’s nice and cool which is what we like it feels good down there yeah and they have live music and some dancing great seating areas right great seating areas uh i like to go i mean the live music is great uh but i i you know when i go to bars i kind of like to talk and uh we went there one time and when there’s no band they you can sit on the stage itself which is a cool little nook yes very nice it’s all very cave-like and sort of dark yeah it’s like a chest it feels like a speaker really really cool one of my favorite places uh i like the sucker punch yeah uh is one of my favorite has a little spice to it which is really kind of cool uh there’s a martini what’s the martha basil martini i think that you had i think so a lot of their own creations and all really really good if you have something else that you want they will know how to make it and it will probably be one of the best you’ve ever had we’ve gone to several birthday parties there they have nice tables that you can sit at and they have some appetizers a little something that’s right they do some finger foods good stuff good stuff uh so our daughter just came in shout out to cecily and max and her boyfriend yeah and we had a great time we went there and had a lovely uh just have a cup of cocktails listen to some music chit chat caught up with them they loved it too yeah and they’re true hipsters i mean they’re true they’re from l.a so yeah yeah you can impress the youngest yeah you’re on to something good yeah so shout out to the point uh is it on your happy hour um i’m not sure i’m not sure we have a happy hour list yeah i think they might be on there i’m not sure if they’re not if not just pay full price absolutely it’s all it’s worth it it’s worth it so mr bro here has done a great happy hour list yeah we had an earlier wind down about that uh if you can’t find it just search the site and you’ll find happy hours our happy hour schedule all the happy hours that are happening day by day throughout the week um so very cool good times good times so anyway shout out to the point if you’re looking to be cool hip and happening good place to go it’s the place for you now a lot of places like it you can find out about all of them on our free information site pickle411.com whether you’re a buyer seller somewhere between just looking for a good cocktail that is the place to go all things real estate all things prescott all things life in general a lot of wonderful information i think you’ll enjoy all yeah cheers to that yes okay we hope you guys have a great day out there take care and hope to hear from you soon bye
