so we’re not doing wine this week we’re
actually we’re doing monsoons
and monsoons are well there are a couple
things
it’s a really popular drink in new
orleans people in new orleans don’t
usually drink hurricanes it’s usually a
tourist drink
right but the locals drink something
called a monsoon
and monsoon so if anyone’s traveling to
new orleans soon go to port a call or
sniper
carver order you too can drink that
monsoon but you won’t have one like this
these are actually frozen
these are frozen they’re delicious good
job my own final invention
very very good stuff we drank many a
monsoon
many moons ago many months ago when we
were dating
and now we’re celebrating the arizona
that’s right
arizona arizona we’re in arizona no
longer in new orleans and we are
toasting and celebrating the
monsoon season so what do monsoons do
for us
well besides give me a good bite
um what i love about monsoons here and i
think everyone should know coming here
from california or from other
states it’s amazing i have lived through
hurricanes
yeah i have done tropical storms
i have done all kinds of severe weather
yeah
there is nothing that can cut monsoons
are unique
yeah and it’s super super cool here in
arizona it was it’s in lots of cool
weather
yeah it was really neat to experience
something new
here that’s as scary as a hurricane
though no no no no even a tropical storm
no
no you know a little wind a little bit
but
we thought we would just give a little
talk to all of our
fellow buyers out there who are coming
here yeah and tell you a little bit
about what a monsoon is
yeah as we are enjoying our mindset
because it brings an end to the heat
monsoon season starts here at the end
was it the end um the end of june
and it goes through august and what’s
great about it is you know like
back home in new orleans you have a
really bad thunderstorm
it’s kind of like that but it’s also
like
strong strong winds and everything blows
around
it’s like mini tropical gust and now
nice and cool yeah the temperature drops
dramatically
which does not happen down south and a
cigarette thunderstorm no the rain is
hot
the rain is hot this is like oh my gosh
we’re 90 and now all of a sudden we’re

68 yeah which 69 is not bad you know
yeah that’s my favorite time for sure i
know what you know what i mean yeah
cheers sorry that was naughty no it was
absolutely was but anyway so that so for
the summer here in
prescott the summer’s pretty much over
by the end of june
early july because the monsoons start
and
we have rains pretty much every every
day if not every day at least we have
clouds today i don’t do we have any rain
today
no rain today but i guess it was in the
80s
80s the high 80s meanwhile down in
phoenix and
las vegas they’re in triple digits easy
that’s right uh our high was 89.
it’s now what seven o’clock or something
like that easily in the 70s
hardly any humidity yeah hardly anything
it’s really delightful yeah and it’s
summers
it’s uh really cool to see a monsoon
blow in too through the mountains
it’s just gorgeous yeah because you’ll
just see like
sheets of rain yeah and the clouds you
can see in the background yeah some of
the
some of the mountains back here and
you’ll see the thunderstorms coming it’s
just gorgeous
and you’ll see clouds that just leave
gigantic shadows everywhere
over the over the mountains and and
thumb
it’s just a really um unique time of
year yeah so our hot month
is june you know when it gets in the 90s
high 90s and then the monsoon started
and that’s
it yeah so our so we celebrate the yes
are very moderate uh could have a little
flash flooding but not so much here in
prescott
yeah it’s it’s all um yeah high and dry
so if you’re looking forward to moving
here we want to give you a little bit of
info about monsoon season here
yeah nothing to be afraid of yeah people
ask a lot of questions about
weather yeah here because we’re
surrounded by bad weather
right right summers in phoenix horrible
summers in las vegas
horrible um summer’s here not so much
that’s absolutely really nice i mean it
might be you know at the highest
95 but no humidity yeah and then boom
very nice
monsoons come in drops the temperatures
down to the 70s or the 60s
it’s amazing and even in june even
before the monsters at night
it’s actually quite pleasant so for
those of you who are thinking about
coming here
summer’s not so bad someone’s not so bad
you’ll really enjoy it
they’re not just as delightful oh yeah
we have four seasons here
true four four seasons and all of them
are equally moderate nothing’s too
severe nothing’s horrendous
it’s just been great yeah it’s been
wonderful if you’re thinking about
moving here to prescott arizona
don’t be afraid of the weather don’t be
afraid of winter certainly don’t be
afraid of winter we’re from louisiana we
love
the time of year is the winter that’s
right it’s a it’s beautiful
we are not used to severe cold there’s
nothing like that here
yeah idaho those those are real winters
colorado that’s real winter we have like
disney winter here
that’s right snow lasts for a few hours
and it melts off
if norman walked well i mean he could
paint a beautiful picture and then by
the afternoon it’s all gone that’s right
so there you go
