Welcome to our virtual tour of the city of Prescuit. Hi, I’m Diane, the Prescuit pickle lady. And I’m Randall, her trusty side. We make videos to help people who are thinking about relocating to Prescat understand what it’s really like to live here. This video is for people who are thinking about moving to Prescat, Arizona, and want to understand what it actually feels like to live here, not just what you see in listing photos. If you’ve been searching for a Prescat, Arizona city tour or wondering what living in Prescat, Arizona is really like day-to-day, this will give you a much clearer picture. We’re going to take you through the key parts of Prescat, from the layout of the city to downtown, the surrounding areas, and what’s actually here in terms of shopping and everyday needs, so you can visualize what your life here would really look like. Stick around to the end because that’s where we’ll cover what you really have access to here from shopping to restaurants. And that’s what usually surprises people. [music] First, we’d like to do a map orientation of Arizona and Prescuit. Kind of figure out where we are on the map. Here we are looking at Arizona. So, here’s the state of Arizona thereabouts. Gets wiggly on this end. Uh Prescuit, here’s Phoenix. Uh Prescuit is right here, right in kind of the middle of the state. Uh so this is kind of where the the high country sort of starts and Prescuit’s kind of on the edge of that. Uh right away you can see that Presc’s really close to a lot of other stuff. Here’s Flagstaff. Here’s Sedona, of course. Here’s Phoenix. There’s Tucson. Uh you can get up to Grand Canyon, which is up in here somewhere. I’m not sure. Uh, also here’s Los Angeles. So that’s about a sevenh hour drive or so. San Diego about the same. Palm Springs, I think, is about right here. That’s about 4 hours. There’s Las Vegas. Here’s Las Vegas. That’s uh that’s about 4 hours. So, it’s sort of centrally located and within easy driving distance of a lot of good stuff. First thing you need to know is where the center of town is. This is uh All right. So, let’s start with 89. Here’s 89. This is uh highway 89. It comes down and it takes this little lefthand turn, I guess, and it goes all the way down. Now, if you Oops. If you are um coming in from California, chances are you’re going to come in through I 10 and you’re going to come up 89. There’s a better way to go. Um you should uh ask us about that, but most people when they’re coming in, they’ll come in through 89. Uh if you’re coming in from 40, you’ll come down 89. 40 is up here uh um somewhere. So you come riding down that’ll take you into town. The other way in is is 69 here. Now 69 junctions off. There’s 69 down this way and there’s 169. Both of these end up uh somewhere kind of coming together somewhere and you’ll hit 17 and then 17 takes you down uh to Phoenix. So those are the roads in uh kind of the thing that kind of stands out is where 89 and 69 meet. That’s called the junction. So it’s kind of a landmark. It kind of uh gives you an easy landmark to know kind of orient yourself where everything is and how everything is laid out. Now the uh the the little uh left-hand turn there we mentioned before that’s close to the square. So, this is downtown Prescuit right up in here, right around that little that little turn. Beyond that, uh 69 here, this area that I’m drawing now, this is all commercial stuff, heavy com commercial stuff. So, this is where Costco is and Trader Joe’s and all that stuff. So, you do a lot of your shopping here. There’s also shopping along Willow Creek. This is Willow Creek right here. So, it runs all the way around and eventually it takes you back in. So, there’s a lot of commercial stuff around here, too. Uh, it kind of makes a big circle. So, if you go up up 89, you could take 89A, which is also called Pioneer Parkway. Uh, 89A, that’s it basically runs parallel to 69. It’s just kind of a this this right here, that area. uh you know, fewer stop lightss and stuff. So, it’s kind of a quick quick way in. So, essentially the whole town, if you look at it, it’s just like a big circle, right? So, you go up 89, you can come here, you could take Willow Creek all the way back. You just made a big circle. So, uh if we have a chance to take a tour of the city with you, we’ll be driving around. All of a sudden, we end up back. Now, you generally we take this this big circle. Not always in the same direction, of course. So again, here’s downtown and you take 89 up. This is Watson Lake. This little water right here. So this is this is Watson Lake. Oh, and by the way, this is Willow Lake. Uh Willow Lake’s really nice, but Watson Lake tends to get more of the attention. It’s kind of surrounded by the Dells. So the Dells are these rock formations that kind of form all up in here. All of the and on this side, too. So, if you uh if you drive up 89 in this area up in here, you’ll be driving through the Dells. And if you go into Watson Lake, you can actually hike into the Dells and everything. So, uh this area up in here is kind of where the Dells are. Uh that’s on 89 on your way to the airport. Uh if you want to know the airport, airport goes to Los Angeles and Denver every day. Uh [snorts] 50seater jet. That’s an important thing to know. We’ll talk about that later. So, I think that’s the basic layout. Uh, downtown, you got the junction, you got the roads in, there’s 69, there’s 89, uh, coming from the south, coming from the north, and you’ve got this loop, which is, uh, Willow Creek, this kind of loop here. If you understand those things, you kind of understand your way around Prescuit. Uh, we’ll do another video that will put some neighborhoods on the map, but we’ll cover that in a different video. Now that you’ve got a sense of how press gets laid out, let’s take you right into the part most people think of first, and that’s downtown. Downtown. [music] So, you’ll hear people refer a lot to the square. Yeah. That is the epicenter of Prescuit. Prescuit. Yeah. The downtown Prescuit. You start with the square. There’s a square with a a courthouse, an old historic courthouse. The square itself is full of trees. It’s beautiful. There’s usually people there walking around, milling about, usually with their dogs, having picnics. It’s It’s a beautiful kind of park-like area. Lots of green. It’s beautiful. And uh especially at Christmas time, decorated for Christmas. Over 100,000 lights. You can’t beat it. Some wonderful things surrounding the square. Restaurants and uh music venues and stuff like that. All kinds of music. It’s a really charming place. Let’s talk a little bit about the music scene. Let’s talk about the music scene. Music scene, as you know, maybe you haven’t heard, but if you haven’t, we’ll tell you now. It’s called Whiskey Row and it is on Montazuma and it’s one block right across from the square. Tons of cool restaurants, speak easys, bars, and every bar plays a different bit of music every night. I mean, there’s hardly a night where it’s silent down there. It’s lovely. Yeah, it is. We’re from New Orleans, so we know good music. This is good music. It’s good music. We can’t And it’s not all country western. We we don’t do country western. There’s Matt Saloon, which does only country and western music. I’ve been Well, sometimes Yeah, they switch it up a little bit. We’ve been there a couple of times, but we go to all the other ones all the time. And there’s there’s jazz, there’s rock. Always a lot of 70s and uh 60s and 70s. It’s great for our demographic. You’ll love it. You’ll love it. You’ll love it. And they’re pretty first class musicians. Yeah, absolutely. Some fine restaurants. I could throw out Teratai. Terrii the palace Jersey liy bar. Yeah, doc’s bar. Got a lot of wonderful venues right there on the street. It goes on and on and on. And the buildings are most of them are pretty old from the early 1900s. So it’s kind of interesting. Beautiful historic. Um absolutely. So it’s fun. So downtown is what draws a lot of people in, but it’s not the whole story. Next we’re going to show you one of the most unique natural areas around Prescuit. [music] This is a car tour of the Dells and Watson Lake. So, we are driving south on Highway 89 coming from say the airport or Pioneer Parkway. And 89 passes through the Dells. That’s the uh rock formations that you see around you. This is uh these rock formations are ancient. I mean, they go back billions of years. is there only a couple of places uh other than Prescuit in the world. I think one’s Wisconsin and one’s in Germany somewhere where these very ancient rock formations uh form. Uh eventually get down to Watson Lake and take a U-turn so I can show you Watson Lake. Uh on the right hand side here is a little parking area and there you can see the lake. can’t take the car into the lake, but what we can do is uh take a little drone ride. So, here we are over Watson Lake. It’s a little raft here. You can go and I don’t know, get on the raft. You’ll see people out here with kayaks and stuff like that. And we’re heading, of course, to the Dells. On the right, you can see there’s a foot path that’s for hikers and bikers. You’ll see a number of paths kind of going in all kinds of directions. And eventually we get into the rock formations themselves. It’s really rugged, really beautiful. You can go and climb in these things if you if that’s where your heart belongs. Over this little hill here, there’s a little cove which is kind of nestled behind here which is really really nice. Most of the people who do their kayaking, they’ll they’ll come here in this little quiet area. Just really beautiful. All right, so we’ll spin here to the left. You can see a couple of kayaks down there. There’s a Granite Mountain center screen. And there is Thumbute. And that was Watson Lake. So tell us where you’d like us to drive by next. So you’ve seen the scenery. Next, we’re going to show you where people actually run their day-to-day errands. That’s right. [music] So, next is a quick uh tour of the commercial areas. This is on Willow Creek. This is just one of the strip malls. Probably know what a strip mall looks like. This is actually where we go to the grocery store. Not that that would matter to you, but anyway, one of the one of the many strip malls on Willow Creek. And next, we’ll head over to 69. So, we’re at this point we’re leaving the downtown area. And here we hit the commercial section in earnest. This is just a huge strip mall. Goes kind of on and on. So, you could see some of the stores. We in a different section in this video, we’ll go through some of the actual stores that are here. Uh, but you’ll see some of them passing by here. Just a massive strip mall. Um, and most of most of 69 it kind of looks like this. There’ll be some sections where you don’t have much anything and then you get these huge strip malls which continues all the way into uh Prescat Valley. Uh, here we have Target. We forgot to mention Target in uh one of the other sections of the video. So, we do have a Target and you’ll see some of the other stores. I’m about to take a right here cuz coming up is my favorite sushi buffet. So, I’m going to go and get some food there on my way to Walmart or our Home Depot. And finally, a little bit further down on 69 is our shopping center. This is it. You could see uh the on the left you can kind of see the pickle ball courts. They’re doing some additional construction. Uh the pickle ball courts are part of Eastpire, which is a a cool little uh uh pickle ball and sports area. You got some restaurants in here. That’s Texas Roadhouse up in front. I think there’s big boxes here. Some sort of trampoline place I’ve never been into. But, you know, uh shopping centers are kind of struggling against strip malls and against uh online stuff like Amazon, but it’s still a pretty nice little town uh shopping center. There’s a Dillards and a J C Penies and uh um so the furniture store and shoe stores and stuff like that. So, it’s a nice little mall. And if you’re finding this information helpful, we’d really appreciate it if you would take a moment to like this video. It really helps us a lot. [music] [bell] And finally, uh we’re going to show you what’s actually here. Spoiler alert, there’s a lot. Here we go. Movie theaters. We actually have two of those. Costco, Trader Joe’s, Total Wine, our favorite. There are three different Walmarts. Three different Walmarts. Shopping Center, Big Mall. Yeah, big mall. Uh, and there’s a lot of there’s a lot of restaurant chains. These are the ones that people actually ask us about. Obviously, there’s a lot more than that. Number one, In-N-Out. In-N-Out. Chick-fil-A. Five Guys, Cracker Barrel, Popeye’s, two locations. Yeah. Raising Canes. Raising Canes. We got four Starbucks. Yeah. Dutch Brothers for you locals in Arizona. Two of those. We have two Culvers. Yep. And two Chipotles. Yeah. But there’s uh chances are you’re not going to spend a whole lot of your time at chain restaurants because we have wonderful local restaurants. Uh Roses. I would call out Roses. There’s a whole bunch of Italian restaurants. Roses is one of the good ones. Uh Teratai, lots of Thai food. Teratai is probably our favorite. But you know, if you have to stay busy, you can get business supplies at Staples or Office Depot. Hardware stores, we’ve got them all. Two Home Depots. We have Lowe’s. We have Harbor Freight, Ace, and True Value. And for grocery stores, the big ones are Fries, Safeway, and Sprouts. And we got multiple locations on all of those. I hope that gives you some idea of just the many bits of infrastructure we have here in town. At this point, you probably have a good sense of what Prescuit looks like and what’s here.
